his raspy voice has no equal in rock &roll- he was far superior in early rock and even at this recording his voice is magic- what an entertainer for all time.....
bass player is gorgeous...but not "hot" as a musician. Eye candy dudes. I saw EB in 1984 in S.F. and that was one of the best shows i ever saw. He was in his 40s then i believe. He absolutley kicked ass. One of THE greatest singers from the 60s era. However, he (and me!) is too old now...retire my man. You've done ur bit. It's time.
something about female bass players always appears as though their aura intensifies the magic.......... particularly on how their looks deliver their intent
Eri c has a new Bass player--Someone ought to ask him what happened to the-- 80's Animals reunion footage--like Mariana --!!!--I know who she is--she's his manager etc.--------Charlie
Normally i think all the rockers from the 60s should hang it up (grace slick has said same) but i gotta say Burdon shows that at least some of the 60s rockers still got it! Saw the Animals in 83 or thereabouts and they put on one of the best shows i ever saw. They were astounding!! Recmnd u chase down their recordings from around that time and that live LP they also made.
Eric sure still has the gun-powder and it blows...great share .. tks.

Except for that brief unfortunate ( IMHO) segue into psychedelics, he was, & remains one of the best white interpreters of blues music out there.
thruthefence 2 years ago 4
He has done much more than blues though.

Burdon did manage to make a film about the reunion. But it was never released. We can only hope that someone will put it on Youtube....someday

This is not my favorite version of the song.
Eric clearly got inspired by the original song by Screamin Jay Hawkins here (which isn't my favorite either.
But Eric has always been one of my favorite singers.
I liked the first Animals version much better.
Nina Simone's I like best.
BluesmanDizzy 3 years ago
i like more the original version :S
