Hi okay, I went to one of the best palces to get a piercing in mass, a sea salt soalk is one of the BEST ways to clean out your piercing because it cleans all of it. Hon, your silly to stick your nose in a cup, take a cotton ball and let it soak up the water, put it to your nose (or any piercing) for ten minutes 2 times a day and you're good to go. My piercing never got infected and I have SUCH sensitive skin. Good luck! And dont touch it even tho it's the hardest part of a piercing! :)

Just keep it clean and keep fingers off, they'll spread germs and that may lead to infection. The bump goes after a while. Cleaning: once/twice a day is enough, you need to let your body heal. Make sure your hands are clean!

i struggled for over two years but finally i have the solution. the best remedy for the nose bump is 'eye-drops'. take off your nose ring and apply some eye-drops on the infected part and after 15- 20 mins put your nose ring back. after that without removing your nose ring keep doing it 3 to 4 times a day. it will heal in a day or two. continue applying eyedrops until you completely satisfied or for good hygiene of the piercing. give it a try you wont be disappointed. eyedrops i used-GATILOX

I tried all of that stuff. Tea tree oil, sea salt soaks, extra saliene, etc. NOTHING WORKED! The bump went away for about a month. IT CAME BACK EVEN BIGGER THAN EVERRRR! So, I gave up. I know I had to take it out in about a year anyway (pastry school does not like piercings!)

Tea tree oil you guys it works I had the same problem and the bump dissapeared within a week. Wet a q-tip or cotton ball then put two drops of the oil on q-tip or cotton ball. This stuff is very strong thats why you MUST DILUTE THIS WITH A LITTLE WATER . You can get it at your local drug store for about 8bucks comes in a very smal bottle because it is very STRONG ...I hope this hels because it sure did help me!
@missbecky1130 i got my nose peirced three weeks ago and got the same bump, I tried to use the same method but it didnt work either. I bought tea tree oil from my local drug store (Walgreens, CVS or Rite Aide) it is like 8 dollars the most and comes in a small bottle. Put some water on a q-tip or cotton ball and then put two drops of the oil afterwards. This stuff is very strong and works for me the bump dissapeared in a week. Tea tree oil is a natural anticeptic. Well mine was on the inside, and I was too much of a pussy to put the real Tea Tree Oil straight on it, so I got some shower gel that had Tea Tree Oil in it (from Bath and Body Works), and I shoved some up my nose, it worked pretty well, and eventually the bump went away.
Ur whole nose is cartilage just like ur ears. U know how u see a skull there is no nose or ears? It's because it's not bone and cartilage erodes away....

The chances of it getting infected aren't very high...as long as you clean it properly and take care of it, it should be fine :) The next day it didn't really hurt...it was a little sore if i touched it but it was just red. Ohh and btw im 15
@kelss101 Mine got infected like 2 months after I got it done. It was perfectly fine until it got infected... I soaked it in sea salt and warm water & I cleaned it with bactine and put neosporin on it at night time, and it cleared up within like 3 days :)

Whether or not it gets infected depends on how you clean it. You should clean it at least twice or three times a day. And yes, it will hurt the next day; your nose will be sore for a few days.
I had the same problem with the bump. I got my nose pierced a year ago and I had the bump for about 6 months, and it would vary in size, getting bigger getting smaller etc. The seasalt soaks didnt work very well for me, so I tried using tea tree oil, which help A LOT. It made the skin very dry where the bump was and it would start to peel, making the bump smaller. Then i found using irish spring soap, it made the skin dry out even more and the bump disappeared. It took a year to finally heal.
i had the same problem wit ma nose piercing. u can get a tea bag of camameal tea(no caffine)and put it over it then wen it sad u can just rip it out.and most of the time u get that bump cuz ur allergic to the material.u use to use metal and now i use gold =)
i just got my nose pierced yesterday and my piercer recommended this cleaning like just for everday cleaning your piercing and its called h2ocean and it disinfects your piercing and it has sea salt so i would definatly recommend it for an everday clean and you dont have to stick your nose in the bowl you just spray it:) i hope this helped someone:)
not really...for me it hurt the most when they put the jewelry in. You dont really feel the needle in your nose once its pierced through. You scare yourself so much that its over in no time!

xNataliex93-- My piercer told me to do it 2-5 minutes but I have heard that the longer you do it the better...Im not sure if it really matters how long you do it, as long as you actually do it! I had the bump on my piercing for over 3 months...Just bare through it! you just have to be patient with it.
Its called a keliod. its a build up of tissue. I used to have one my nose too. I got ride of it by doing using grape fruit seed extract on a wet q- tip several times daily. make sure you dilute the extract because it is strong and only apply it to the bump. best wishes

i'm not sure why the piercer said don't do sea salt soak unless its got a problem i think you should do it twice a day for general aftercare works well for me and if i get the dreaded tragus bump haha and like you said touching it makes it soo much worse but yea nice video

I tried all of that stuff. Tea tree oil, sea salt soaks, extra saliene, etc. NOTHING WORKED! The bump went away for about a month. IT CAME BACK EVEN BIGGER THAN EVERRRR! So, I gave up. I know I had to take it out in about a year anyway (pastry school does not like piercings!)

i had one2, i was trying on glasses and when i took them of, it pulled on my stud, it hurt. i got that ugly "bump my stuff and put hydrogen peroxide on it and kept pinching it and it got smaller, turned into a scab and came off. but i got it back like 2 weeks later. im trying the sea soaks right now. and also putting grinded or smashed fresh garlic with oil help too, just put it on the boil with a q-tip it stings though. or 1 drop of tea tree oil

Tea tree oil you guys it works I had the same problem and the bump dissapeared within a week. Wet a q-tip or cotton ball then put two drops of the oil on q-tip or cotton ball. This stuff is very strong thats why you MUST DILUTE THIS WITH A LITTLE WATER . You can get it at your local drug store for about 8bucks comes in a very smal bottle because it is very STRONG ...I hope this hels because it sure did help me!

Hi ive got a lump on my piercing ive been doing sea salt soakin but it doesnt seem to go away it just bleeds and kinda scabs up

@missbecky1130 i got my nose peirced three weeks ago and got the same bump, I tried to use the same method but it didnt work either. I bought tea tree oil from my local drug store (Walgreens, CVS or Rite Aide) it is like 8 dollars the most and comes in a small bottle. Put some water on a q-tip or cotton ball and then put two drops of the oil afterwards. This stuff is very strong and works for me the bump dissapeared in a week. Tea tree oil is a natural anticeptic. Hope this helps

i got my nose pierced with the gun and my nose has never been infected. im not a know it all about piercings but i do have my nose, belly button, labret, and like 9 on my ears. also ive had my nose pierced since i was 12 and now im 21. not 1 infection..

If any of you have bumps, just use Tea Tree Oil, it makes the skin/bump dry so that it just kinda falls off.

If the bump is on the outside of the nose and not in the nostril, than you just put the Tea Tree Oil on about 2-3 times a day.

Well mine was on the inside, and I was too much of a pussy to put the real Tea Tree Oil straight on it, so I got some shower gel that had Tea Tree Oil in it (from Bath and Body Works), and I shoved some up my nose, it worked pretty well, and eventually the bump went away.

there is no pain.i dont think youll end up looking like me.piercing came up in tags.i hate to say if you get pierced you have to take some of that stuff.use peroxide then rinse it off.see my face? id know...go though some vids find my face.i didnt get pierced till i was 24.you are a bit young.wait a few years no?..

The chances of it getting infected aren't very high...as long as you clean it properly and take care of it, it should be fine :) The next day it didn't really hurt...it was a little sore if i touched it but it was just red. Ohh and btw im 15

@kelss101 Mine got infected like 2 months after I got it done. It was perfectly fine until it got infected... I soaked it in sea salt and warm water & I cleaned it with bactine and put neosporin on it at night time, and it cleared up within like 3 days :)

Whether or not it gets infected depends on how you clean it. You should clean it at least twice or three times a day. And yes, it will hurt the next day; your nose will be sore for a few days.

I had the same problem with the bump. I got my nose pierced a year ago and I had the bump for about 6 months, and it would vary in size, getting bigger getting smaller etc. The seasalt soaks didnt work very well for me, so I tried using tea tree oil, which help A LOT. It made the skin very dry where the bump was and it would start to peel, making the bump smaller. Then i found using irish spring soap, it made the skin dry out even more and the bump disappeared. It took a year to finally heal.

i had the same problem wit ma nose piercing. u can get a tea bag of camameal tea(no caffine)and put it over it then wen it sad u can just rip it out.and most of the time u get that bump cuz ur allergic to the material.u use to use metal and now i use gold =)

i just got my nose pierced yesterday and my piercer recommended this cleaning like just for everday cleaning your piercing and its called h2ocean and it disinfects your piercing and it has sea salt so i would definatly recommend it for an everday clean and you dont have to stick your nose in the bowl you just spray it:) i hope this helped someone:)

not really...for me it hurt the most when they put the jewelry in. You dont really feel the needle in your nose once its pierced through. You scare yourself so much that its over in no time!

xNataliex93-- My piercer told me to do it 2-5 minutes but I have heard that the longer you do it the better...Im not sure if it really matters how long you do it, as long as you actually do it! I had the bump on my piercing for over 3 months...Just bare through it! you just have to be patient with it.

Its called a keliod. its a build up of tissue. I used to have one my nose too. I got ride of it by doing using grape fruit seed extract on a wet q- tip several times daily. make sure you dilute the extract because it is strong and only apply it to the bump. best wishes
