The tail fins that could poke your eye out. That's where it's at! The '55-'57 years have really taken off in price lately, thanks to Barrett-Jackson. As much as that auction is cool to watch, it's helped make everything uber-expensive.
yep Ralph Nader really hated the '50s cars, he even stated the big fins could injure or kill people? sure Ralph, maybe if you back into a pedestrian, or you drive in reverse, but maybe Ralph drives in reverse? lol lol also i have never ever got a chance to see what old Ralph ever drove or drives? maybe a Volvo? or ??? lol i bet he has a big ole Limo now! they could be dangerous! just think if a truck T-boned it! and your right Don, Barrett has really jacked prices up, the sky is the limit now!!
Hi Brent. The 58 is a Coupe Deville and the 57 I think is a Coupe Deville but hard to tell as it is not original. Thats when GM made real cars never to be seen again. My next door neighbor had a 58 Sedan Deville and kept it for years.
thanks, i figured it was a Coupe DeVille, wasn't sure as there was other Coupes in other models if i am not mistaken, i just don't have a lot of detailed Cadillac knowledge, not as much as my Ford, Mercury, Lincoln knowledge, and Ford truck knowledge, but ya learn something new every day! also the '58 has a much nicer look to it, i like the dual quad headlights vs. the '57 singles, also both cars have the classic Dagmar bumpers, which are named after a actress who had a artillery shell physique
thanks for the comment Ron, glad you liked these two fine Cadillacs! one custom and one stock! you should have seen how close some of these cars were parked to that stream! if a parking break didn't catch or it rolled out of gear, your car would roll down that little hill part, and would be converted into a Amphicar in seconds! lol lol
Ralph...its all true! CANT BEAT THOSE FINS. CADILLAC LIFE!!!!!!!
