You're missing out on Apocalypse Now, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Solaris (1972), A Clockwork Orange, There Will Be Blood, Ivan's Childhood, Dr. Strangelove, Children Of Men, Boogie Nights, Annie Hall.

Though, looking back on what i just wrote, I might just be partial to dark humor, tragedies and political satires.

Matrix (first one) I think set my interest in movie's that challenge our perceptions and what we perceive as "reality".

I started watching Zhang Yimou movies .. HERO you mentioned. If you have not seen:

- The Road Home (Zhang Ziyi first movie).

- Happy Times (billed as comedy, but is really a drama)

- HERO and House of Flying Daggers

I also started watching Wong Kar Wai movies -- Quentin Tarantino (like his support for HERO) likes these films.

- Chungking Express

- Fallen Angels

- 2046.

Since you like Amelie and Alien Resurrection (both are directed by J-P Jeunet) you might also like Un Long Dimanche De Fiançailles (A Very Long Engagement) (2004).

Other films you also might enjoy are: Fearless (1993), The Big Blue (1988), La Femme Nikita (1990), The Fisher King (1991), Three Colors: Blue (1993), Twelve Monkeys (1995).

When I was a kid a was so scared of alien I didn't watch any of them until I decided to watch Alien 4 in the theaters and was I surprised ! Amazing movie but my favorite of the 4 is Aliens (2). It has everything in it!

Nice list Kat, there are some that are for sure on my top 20 as well but other (of course) that wouldn't make the cut.

I've been trying to make a list in an excel file and it's taking forever but one day I'll make a video about it.

Aliens is the best! That movie just has it all, action, adventure, drama, great characters, great special effects, a Queen Alien, and it is still just as good now as it was the day it originally came out. Of course I love the Star Wars films as well. The Prequels aren't as good as the original trilogy, but I thought Episode III Revenge of the Sith was awesome. Another great classic that has it all and is still just as powerful as the day it came out is Robobop. Ha, Ha! Yeah, I'm a Sci Fi Nerd.

You should watch some Takeshi Kitano movies. If you have the time to do so, you should start with Hana Bi. Also check out the soundtrack of this movie by Joe Hisaishi. He is an amazing composer.

i want'ed to know y u hate the new 3 star wars movies, just wondering. i liked episode 1 The Phantom Menace, it was a well executed movie for me. the only thing i didt like was Jar Jar binks. god y???? lol that boy that played kid anakin skywalker was good, and the rest of the actors were cool as well. the other guy just made teen vader look like a emo bitch. he cried to much and complained to much, but the other actors, side stories, CGI, and battles were good.... good top 10 Kat. u have 4 movies that are in my top 10 too ;) 1.meet joe black 2.the dark night 3.ghost in the shell 4.the matrix 5.the fox and the hound 6. equilibrium 7.inception 8.the pianist 9.fight club and... 10.reservoir dogs- the 3 that didn't make it on the top 20 are anchorman, pans labyrinth, and avatar... but as for avatar... the same thing as the last samurai and pocahontas in the story aspect, but in 3D AWESOMENESS! thus, pooping on those two. lol still didn't make it though.

I was surprised at so many Aliens in the top ten..but I like it. Sigourney Weaver ist hot as hell in resurrection :D

Equilibrium is definitely a cool version of 1984. And Bale is ideal for that role. Since I mentioned him, I'd have put The dark knight and American Psycho in the top ten as well.

I never knew Fight Club was originally a book lol...I feel dumb. Hey I was like 10 when it came out lol. And have you seen the newer version of Star Wars 6? where they put in characters from Star Wars 3? that was kinda...disappointing to me lol. I've never seen equilibrium...but it looks pretty cool. I know a few people who really like it so I should watch it...can you tell I'm typing as I watch? lol. Great list and video though :D and I think any reviews from you would be really cool to see :P
