Thank you so much for uploading these! I remember watching this on television with my mum when it was first broadcast, I was just a child then and I didn't know London at all. I moved here a few years ago and got so excited the first time I found myself in Berkeley Square!
This was a great series. Shame it was cancelled so soon, but I think I understand why. The frequent harrowing scenes of suffering and neglected children make this programme very hard, if not impossible, for a key demographic -- mothers -- to watch. I saw it first before I had children. But since having my two, I could not sit through the painful scenes, especially the ones with little Bertie and his baby brother. I have a feeling that's why audience numbers may have been disappointing.
@hebsmum I agree, and I found one of the story lines so tragic that it couldn't really be followed up. Unless they changed casts, introducing new nannies with these three as background characters, or made it a soap opera of never-ending melodrama, how could you have another season?
I think she is very good at reprimanding the children and the other servant, she does it in such a soft but clear way that it is not hurtful -a skill to have!
I,m looking for anything that has hermione norris in it then came across this really enjoyed watching it but i notice that ep8 missing do you have it and can you please now load it
omg thank you so so much for this.. it doesn't air on tv anymore in the country I live in, and i haven't been able to find it anywhere.. so thank you..and of course i love this show..
This is a fun miniseries. It zips along at a nice pace. I enjoyed hating that self-involved Mrs. Chambers (1:13+). I wanted, so badly, to give her a good, hard slap.
I enjoyed the character of Hannah. Talk about big, big problems in one's life, whew!
My best friend's mom has this on DVD and after she watched it, she told me I had to watch it. I said 'Are you kidding me?' She made me watch it. I put it on and got sucked right in! Couldn't stop until it was done! I was exhausted most nights. Lol! I'm so glad she made me watch it though, and I'm even happier that you've uploaded all of these episodes so that I can watch it again and again!!! I had to give the DVD back. :(

I am shamelessly hooked on Brit period pieces. I should blush but that would be disingenuous.
