  • @D0ntEatThatPie How tall is In Hyuk Suh, please?

  • sakura, dude shut up! you think kuk sool is made up? if you ever try fighting someone who trains in that, you would probably on the floor, SCREAMING. im not taking sides or anything, but i hate trolls, especially you. ive only

    watch real chinese marital art!!!

  • @sakura0jp0aikidodesu Do you just go around to ever kuk sool video and post your gay History lesson? People who generally watch these videos are WKSA members, so they are NOT going to check out "Real chinese martial arts" If we wanted to see a real chinese Martial artist, we would look up Ip man, or Bruce Lee. Not your videos. Thank you.

  • @sakura0jp0aikidodesu

It's better to keep ur mouth shut up If you don't you what u talking about.

Do you even know about korea? Kuk sool won is a korean traditional martial art if you don't know yet. you need to learn respect and grow up before you talking about ur garbage idea.

  • @MsBebold hi,i love korean drama, its very fun.are you a Kuk sool won student? why kuk sool won opener Suh In-Hyuk hide his own history that learnt Hapkido in Daegu, and tell a lie that learnt the art from mountain hermits or priest?

  • @MsBebold in this movie he acts nikyo(二教),second grappling style, but he turns his back to enemy...the attitude is abominable act in martial art. if enemy hide knife,he will be killed..in Dojo you should keep steady tense feeling even you are teacher.moreover its not important to grip strong anymore in the gripping waza,to concentrate your force to the your tummy point Tanden(丹田) and twist your hip. korean can't think the reason(理) kotowari...

  • @MsBebold

    Verification of Hapkido History

  • @MsBebold sorry! its for you! have a fun!!

Verification of Kuk Sool Won History

    /watch?v=vApfSD3g0C0

  • quote from wiki "Following in Korean tradition, Kuk Sool Won uniforms are black and not white because white is a color associated with death in Korea"really????? korea are proud that "we are white nation"white is korean traditional color since they didn't have dye till modern age.they had been imported the black and other color cloth from china till 20ad. korean are making the falsification of history easily.fraud korean! later i will explain the applesauce history and techniques.

  • moreover dragon, shenlong(神龍)is originated chinese, why korea are stolen any other culture??? why the uniform is white or lightness, even cooking chef wear white, since cleanliness is needed for bodily exercise and martial art as manner.even the older and exhausted uniform, keeping clean and washing is for mind that is important.

  • gold is vain splendor color, its not appropriate since its ruled that any instructor must not be proud their cathedra with the unique uniform chickenshit.basically, yellow and gold is noble for emperor or monks in china.however its mean meanness and betrayal from Judah of isukarionte in EU.korea was colonized by china for 1000 year till 1910,their king could wearied only red color.

  • its not martial art anymore, cult using martial art to get money.firstly, the rule of uniform is very funny.the crimp is colored by degree, silver, red, gold.Surprisingly, grandmaster can swear that All Gold Dobok(wang-sa) with twin dragon emblems...what that???martial art is not the method to be bossy for other people and students.white and black belt are accepted in karate, judo, aikido but its for getting behind the danger the expert do not play in abandon with beginner.

  • Kuk Sool Won is korean fabricated art that "selling counterfeit martial arts"its deformed Chinese Wushu,tai-chi(太極拳),shaolin(少林寺) kun-fu basically and mixed with trivial copied the grappling technic of aikido(合気道) jyujutsu(柔術),karate(空手)by shallow cleverness....fraud Korean.

  • That's a Korean cult. Kuk Sool Won does not appear in any historical record of Japan, China, the West, or even Korea. It's just a fabricated tradition.

  • man he makes it look so easy bet he could kill ppl with little effort :)

  • The highest ranking WKSA master in the Midwest is located in St. Louis. (He's 6th Dan - - and my school owner's, instructor's, instructor.) There are large schools in Brentwood, O'Fallon, and in Peoria. There's also a school in O'Fallon, Illinois and four other schools in Illinois. If you're interested, let me know and I can get you the phone numbers, or I could call the school and introduce you to them. I'm off to Black Belt class right now! Let me know, Ok?

  • @HCWalker58 there used to be a school in lawrence, kansas but idk if there is anymore =/

  • Comment removed

  • I am extremely impressed and very interested in learning. Sadly I have never heard of this martial art and living in such a small area with no others to train with on a regular basis, this could be difficult to learn.

  • @wolfkingaka - Where do you live? If there is a WKSA school near you, I could help you find it.

  • @HCWalker58 south east missouri

  • Plus... He's over 70 years old... He's retired from teaching. I'm a student of his, see him & speak with him at least twice yearly. Do you? Those of us who strap on a black belt from his system, feel privileged to do so. We know from experience just how impressive it is. We KNOW from experience what it takes to earn a WKSA black belt. If you'd ever felt a single one of those joint locks properly applied... THAT would impress you.

  • Hmmm... That's interesting jiggahippo. YOU are personally not impressed w/this system or Kuk Sa Nim, Suh... Oh well, the Man Hae Foundation of South Korea was impressed enough with him to CREATE A SPECIAL CATEGORY FOR HIM to award him their GRAND PRIZE (2007), specifically for his work with WKSA. This only names him among other past winners like, um, NELSON MANDELLA, His Holiness THE DALAI LAMA, and a few other Nobel Peace Prize winners, a couple PRESIDENTS of countries... OH WELL...

  • Ive personally never been impressed with this system or Suh. He had his main school in Houston on 1960 FM but closed some years ago, I guess he moved. I would watch his class but he never taught his BB did and they were awful. OH WELL.

  • every1 that thinks this is bull is dead wrong im a 2nd degree black belt n kuk sool

i asure you hes not trying to hurt the guy, hes not even trying in this demo if he was in a real situation the other guy wouldnt be able to move after the first confrontation a demo is a demo rl is rl yes the pressure points help to hender , there is more going on then hiting them tho its a combination of things happening

  • sneakysteve he gave himself the title and pajamas. You can do it to when you invent you own martial art system like he did. That is, a succesful and proven martial art system as he did.

  • Who awarded him his title and shiney pajamas?

  • the governing body of Korean Martial Arts, do your research steve.

  • Snabbt fint bra och kunnigt

  • the grand master the belt color changed from purple blue in this video to more purple red used today why?

  • Grand Master Sa seems like he would be a very sadistic person in person. Even in demos it looks like he enjoys hurting people, but I still respect him. X3

  • He's actually a very gentle man, xD

  • I thought he probably was, but he just seems to have that aura to me. I would really like to meet him and give him my gratitude for creating Kuk Sool, it's a effective, fun discipline.

  • Yeah I do beleive he's actually on a world tour right now. If your a student you might get to meet him at one point or another...

  • the thing about hyuk suh is that i think that he has ultimately gotten bored with doing this every demo hes just like "yawn. ok now imma go sit down."

  • the commentator kinda ruins this vid...

  • He stands about 4'11" tall but his skill is amazing.

  • when was this? i live in modesto.

  • Hey this demo is pretty awesome. Have you guys checked out the video "kuk sool won ki bon su-gene gause #19". I was wondering, those techniques are very similar, and most identical to the ki bon su in Hapkido, which is one of the style I study. Anyone know the correlation?

  • hey its elvis

  • Kuk Sool Won was my first black belt... From Grand Master He-Young Kimm

  • wow haven't seen GM In Hyuk Suh since I was like seven years old... Good to see him on youtube ;) As for pressure points, yes they do hurt :P I still remember and utilize some of my Kuk Sool Won training in my Kung Fu sparring session but large part of me wish I had kept with the training.

  • In Hyuk Suh is the greatest man to have ever walked this earth. Enough said. :)

  • he makes it look so simple it looks fake - this guy is on a different level to anyone - when you'r in his presence the aura he gives off is one you will rember for the rest of your life, it's not like you can sence wen someone is angry or a bad vibe- it's very intense, it gives you butterflys every one I know who has meet him says the same, beyond words. The guy in the uniform with red, is master Barry Harmon the higest ranking non Korean in the world [8th degree]

  • Master Harmon and his wife were both promoted to 9th degree at the world tournement in Houston back in October. Just FYI =)

  • Once he gave my class a lecture on being respectful, he told us not to say bad words. But he gave us examples of bad words not to say... it was awkward and funny. It just goes to show that he's a genuine guy that just so happens to be the Grandmaster of Kuk Sool Won

  • My fondest memory of him is when he came to my training session before my promotion to black belt. He measured the waists of myself and three others. To throw us off he tried to tell us that the measurements were not for the belts. I guess they weren't because later that day, we had new cermonial uniforms to go with our black belts.

  • No offense but this is like something out of a martial arts film, and a reeeally cheesy one at that.

Stuff doesn't work like this in the real world.

Pressure points can be effective, but anyone in a fight with you is going to resist like hell.

Don't know how effective this would be against someone that does Muay Thai & BJJ.

  • Resist like hell? hahahaha, you´ve never been held on pressure points right? Its so painful you cant move, it practically paralizes the opponent. And if you try to move youll end up hurting yourself even more. Take a look at Master In Suk Suh´s demo, hes not as nice as Kuk Sa Nim, he makes a 3rd Dahn Kuk Sool black belt squeal like a little girl.

  • Yes, resist like hell.

I trained for years with an organisation that had one of it's main focuses on using pressure points, yes, they do hurt, LOTS.

But if someone was to try for example to grab a pressure point on your arm, hurt as it would, you resist and try to return blows. Fists, elbows, feet, knees, HEAD - whatever!

Seriously, go spar with someone who does training in a couple of different arts. You'll see the difference.

  • dude, you don't know shit! Thats why its called a pressure point. When it's applied correctly, the last thing you are thinking about is throwing a punch, let alone an elbow or foot or knee. The only thing you think about is getting out of that particular hold.

  • @tomingh

    I do know shit, cheers.

Seriously, the idea of using pressure points in the way demonstrated in the video is unrealistic. In a situation where you have to defend yourself against a resisting opponent, with adrenaline pumping on either side, you'd be lucky to be able to execute that kinda stuff properly on a junky.

I know from experience, not from light-to-no-contact sparring in a controlled environment.

    Cheers! Enjoy your weekend!

  • @slicerlml I am going to have disagree with you about pressure points they do work but you have to have very strong fingers hence finger tip push up to be really good.

  • @poeboys I'm not saying pressure points don't work, as you can see in my previous post. Just that they are not going to work like in the video. In a real situation, while the guy has you by one arm, you would be trying to smash his face in for him with your other.....or using knees...or your head...or feet...you get the idea lol.

  • @slicerlml Can I ask you a question what would have this master do get in a knock down drag out with his partner and fight him so he can demonstrate his skill? All I saying is that these days everybody is so worried about what will and will not work in a fight. If you are a true martial artist then you should be trying to avoid fights anyway. Martial arts are about self defense and that doesn't mean a guy calls you and an ass in a bar and then you kick his butt.

  • @slicerlml Look man I saw that you are a MT artist do you think that the art of Muay Boan is trash because some of the movies don't work in a fight. Without MB you don't have MT the sport. I don't know if it will work but I bet someone in the past could run toward the enemy on the battlefield at full speed and jump of is enemy knee and elbow or stab him in the head or the technique would not have survive because that guy would be dead.

  • @slicerlml maybe you would, but the distinguished gentleman in this video doesn't have your lack of precision, he also trains acupuncturists in acupuncture and acupressure, he doesn't have to even think about it, he just spots the point and strikes

  • @slicerlml someone who can actually fight keeps their cool. when you've fought a lot and you aren't an idiot you learn that. martial arts is a discipline first and a form of defense second... offense takes a solid third. a trained mind > some dumb fuck anyday. who the fuck does light sparring anyways? in yellow belt we started full contact with punches to the head and all. that imo is good fighting experience. sadly they won't let us fight openhand but i can understand why... people die.

  • This is very rare footage of a ledgend in action -the body is like a map of pressure and nerve points - Kuk Sa Nim [the Grand Master of the national martial Art of Korea -Taekwondo is the national martial SPORT]

The grand master is beyond kicking and punching and doing gymnastics that novices think are martial arts - this is a demonstration of how evective a true martial artist can be after a lifetime of dedication/blood/sweat- and maybe a few tears a pressure point is 1 milimeter in diamiter

  • Kuk Sa Nim really is amazing

and he's such a nice guy!

And really, the pressure points do work. I'm not one of HIS students but I practice Kuk Sool and I've had the, uh, pleasure, of having his son Master Alex show a technique on me during a seminar.

    :]

    -JKN Ashley

  • Pressure points are not impressive.

I train in Kuk Sool Won in Korea and pressure points arnt nearly as effective as this guy is making out to be.

  • well to be honest ive seen and know people that have been pointed by grandmaster and they will tell you how effective it is

  • Yeah, his students will tell you how effective they are. Studies have shown that students are more likely to be suscepitble to pressure points then everyday people.

  • what studues

  • On the contrary, the students become more sensitized to the pressure points and joint locks. As a student of several years, I know this. I can take a lot more now than in the past. We say that those receiving the techniques are also getting a work out.

  • im in kuk sool won right now, and, well, you mean that students have a lower chance of being subdued from pressure at shutdown points right? your right, i know this too as a blue belt red stripe.

  • Perhaps the trick is to have really strong fingers? They might work better if you're able to really dig into the opponent's skin, you know? I don't know for sure, I'm just throwing out ideas.

  • ive been doing kuk sool won for about 2 years im a black brown belt. if any of u do kuk sool won plz tell me your rank.

  • i do kuksoolwon i'm a 1st degree

  • 2nd degree. Could have been 3rd If I didn't stop going cause of school.

  • lol i met this guy about 2yrs ago

  • I wish I had entered Kuk Sool sooner than I had. Then I would have been able to see Kuk Suh Nim do a demo. I live in Indiana though, and I did not know about Kuk Sool until I moved to Texas, where the headquarters currently is.However, I was only there for some of 2006 and about half of 2007 before my parents and my brother and I had to move back because our house did not sell. Now I have to go two hours away to take Kuk Sool in Purdue, but it IS worth it.

  • the commentator ruined this :/

  • Most commentators ruin what the commentate. So, I just mute the sound. ;-)

  • Kuk Sa Nim is so awesome! I love watching him demo!!!!

  • i will be back

  • people have copied the grandmaster's uniform, and the Kuk Sool Won general's uniform, and the basic Kuk Sool Won techniques, BUT they cannot copy the skill or class of In Hyuk Suh.
