  • I will buy this stick just to throw it away.

  • I do have job. Ask your mom.

  • Are you upset? Man the nuclear buster bomb of truth I dropped down the front of your pants must of gone off too early.

That twinge you feel in the front of your chest?

That's just my wicked words and mad mind mojo given your sperm a new set of rules.

For now on all your children will grow up cross eyed crossed legged and crossed thumbed with no way to play a game.

    Bam, what ya got?

    Tag your it.

  • remember! this is considered a "entry level" stick!

its decent "real" stick. but its far from "perfect".

there are better ones, especially for what ypu would pay for this stick, you could buy a custom, or even a hrap tourney stick.

keeps it real, and keeps it arcade!

man it makes me so happy to see the interest in arcade controls jump. maybe one day this will lead to a resurgence in actual arcades!

    cool vid.keep the dream alive!

  • man, the player sides are way too close.

this is aq great "intro: to arcade style joysticks.

but there are many, many way better ones available.

start with this then move your way up, eventually one needs to build their own with premium parts.

i use all japanese parts. the u.s. ones such as the happ comp stick used in this one is way too "floppy".

  • beats the madcatz and hori.

  • @theFaded01 are you insane? when it comes to "real" tourney fighters, we use jap parts and sticks. in reality, this stick and all x-arcade sticks are seriously flawed.

i bet this one will have to be "over hauled" with new parts in a year. just like every other stick they make.

these can be made fair;y good with swana or setties.

this is only my opinion as i do not care for our u.s.a. made parts.

they are not made to "take a lickin and keep on tickin!"

    the jap parts are!

    do some research!

  • @roserose217

go suck on a joystick you fuckin loser. Do some research and get a job.

  • you have to remember that in japan there are thousands of arcades and there are less than 1000 in the u.s.

our parts are not made to high standards, they are made to be sold, thats it.

we have no quality control in america!

better hurry and buy your jap arcade parts as the radiation will make it impossible soon!

    peace and chicken grease!

  • Does anyone know the dimensions of this because i am building a MAME cabinet and this is going to be the controls

  • i have questions 1 how does this work with xbox 360 like how do u open up the xbox guide 2 how can i talk online with it ??? do i need a wireless mic or what

  • WAOOO

i have hear alot of good stuff about these control im from texas and im gonna buy it

    :)

  • where did u get it?

  • @reyeskyle at xgaming.com

  • where did u get it?

  • where did u get it?

  • alright so for tatsunoko vs capcom would an xarcade or 2 wii hori controllers i mean wich of the 2 would do better

  • well here is what I reviewed. The X Arcade doesn't hook up directly to the Wii-motes themselves, but through the Gamecube ports and T vs C will use a GC controller. In all you are looking about $40 difference from buying two T vs C Wii sticks compared to one x-arcade. However if you are just by yourself, go for just the Wii Stick more.

  • I 'm using a 2 player x arcade with mame in my cabinet It works perfectly its been in my cabinet for 2 years this december never let me down once.

  • @christiantysoe i think ur head is a little too far up ur ass......

  • these buttons and stick are not high quality. sanwa is the best dont let anyone tell you otherwise.

  • happ ftw! sanwa push buttons are too responsive....

  • I agree I bought one of theseand the joystick did not self center half of the time and the track ball did not work at all. I put in new HQ joysticks and new track ball.

  • Everyones on about the build of this thing and lag due to adapters. Myself i'll be ordering about 2 sticks and 20 or so buttons for them for a custom built stick for 360/original xbox/pc, i'm going to disassemble the controller and wire the joysticks and buttons directly to the controllers pcb with a connector in between, thus being able to swap between a 360 and original xbox pcb and eliminate any lag and have a better button layout. I'll be posting a video on this project in the coming days.

  • 10lbs is way too much for a stick. I prefer the solo stick. But, if it can't play on the 360 without experiencing input lag, then fuck it.

  • lol, you can't play on the 360 with it at all, they don't make an adapter yet.

  • no, but you can always use and adapter from xcm via ps/2 or ps2 adapter for the stick into the xcm adapter.

in general, microsoft should stop jewing out and actually make x arcade stick an official product for the 360 so we don't have to go through all this trouble of converting things.

  • holy fuck, where do I begin here:

#1 the included USB/PC cable causes the X-Arcade to be recognized as a KEYBOARD, not a game controller

#2 the 360 requires a special code to be present in the programming of the controller to be recognized by a 360, and Microsoft is very picky about who gets it. You can read about it on the x-arcade website

    bottom line: you're an idiot.

  • It is suposed to be recognized as a keyboard, and because of that you don't need any drivers which is the whole idea!

  • so what is so wrong with the X-Arcade? I keep hearing negative things, but I've recently messed with the more fanboyed joysticks like the SF 4 stick and I found them to be really loose and sloppy. I like the concave buttons and teardrop joystick of the X-Arcade, so it would have to be pretty fucked up for me to not want it. So what is so wrong with it?

  • When the so called super strong tank stick arrived it was ALEADY BROKEN!!! I had to fix it in 2 places. year later circuit board doesnt work i ask for a new one but apparently the incredible lifetime warranty doesnt apply to me because i got it from the wrong place! >:( DONT BUY THIS

  • stop going on every x arcade video and putting the same thing TROLL!

  • I think people's problem with this isn't the sticks/buttons used, but instead the way it is built, to pass through so much hardware creates lag. If I'm correct (i'll be testing this soon) ordering sticks and buttons from them and custom building your own should eliminate lag. Also, if you browser around, you'll notice most SFIV players prefer Japanese parts, or at least those made in the japanese style, ie. Sanwa or Seimetsu sticks and buttons. Which means balltop sticks and convex buttons.

  • well the USB is the primary output, so it shouldn't create much lag that way. I think the whole "lag" thing is completely blown out of proportion, I think people just need to accept they suck at video games and stop making excuses. I have played plenty of emulated compilations that have "OMG LAG!" and I had no problem at all. Also, concave buttons are the ONLY buttons an arcade should ever have, anything else is just nonsense.

  • and on that note, can some one verify if there is any significant lag if just playing it on the computer with USB? I only plan on using the USB cable to use with MAME.

  • I'm getting ready to make a case with a sanwa JLF stick and sanwa buttons, :P I know you're not big on convex, but if you want to eliminate lag I could suggest the method I'm using, buy whatever sticks/buttons you want (Happ, Xarcade, Sanwa, whatever), make/buy your own case and wire them to a wired xbox 360 controller. The wired controllers are recognized automatically in windows XP and above and will download the drivers for you (if not they're on MS's website.) No lag this way.

  • umm, you know it would be alot cheaper and probably more compatible if you just bought a $10 USB gamepad (logitech precision is great quality) and wired to that, right? That is of course unless you actually want to use it on a 360.

  • Right, but I do actually intend on using it on a 360, Street fighter 4/soul calibur 4, thus the 360 is the best way for me to go to use it on a 360 and emulators (Mame, NES, etc) for mine, if you want to go with purely pc then you're right. Plus I had a spare wired 360 controller laying around that'd been in a duffle bag for months since I use a couple wireless ones instead. So it works out semi-free on my end.

  • wow man great minds think alike i did the exact same thing. even works on the 360 ^^

  • there is no lag with computers when using this stick, only on a rare occasion it would happen to a console.

  • You'd think he'd tell us what we need to know:

    1. The durability of the parts

    2. The weight

    3. The feel

    4. The responsiveness / performance

Basically, just how close is it to the arcade machine's stick.

I hear the thing has a ton of lag issues because of the adpater feature.

Overall, aside from the annoying square gate of my Virtua Stick High Grade, which I'm becoming accustomed to, I'm pleased with the sega stick.

  • that is one of the worst sticks i have ever seen. why does it have 3 top 3 mid and 2 low thats the worst button lay out ever. if your going to make a button lay out 4 on top and 4 on on bottom thats how it should be.

  • its works with 360 but its not really good if you gonna play street fighter with it, just have too much lag.

  • it dont wrok with xbox 360

  • The sticks and button layout are not even align correctly

  • Detail Manuel XDD Its only two pages of bullshit...

  • He did not mention the poor packaging ...Shit basically falls out of the box..One my X-arcade sticks actually had a screw missing so the serial cable sucked ass...

  • THIS GUY IS A MARKETER!!!!!!! Don't believe a word he says, he is full of shit , this 50 year old has never even used the stick. Just throw it into the chimney because thats all its good for (firewood). Has the worst input lag, worse technology built in. Calling anything other than trash is really an overstatement, as it is nothing less than good money well spent on 25 lbs of wood!

  • Can you tell me of a better alternative? I am looking for something like this with two joysticks and hooks directly into my pc.

  • Lies, Lies, and more bs. People don't be fooled by the mass marketing of these x sticks. This company needs to be reported to the BBB.

  • This board is only good for customization. If you're going to replace the buttons and stick for Sanwa you might have something here. I would be happier if X-Arcade made a single player variant in a smaller case.

  • they do..just go to their site

  • buttons and stick are NOT high quality.

  • i like the fact that it can act as a regular controller on a console so i can play soul calibur with it too

  • Does this work with PS3?

  • yes it does!!!!

  • are they making one for the ps3 since SF4 is coming out?

  • is for the sp3 sp2 and the ps1? that joystick have been out for a while already?

  • your review sucks and is of poor quality..show the sticks and buttons in action or take the review down.

  • I have used this on my mame cabinet for a year no problems at all

  • What a piece of crap! I've bought two of these Crap Sticks Duels ver. for 170$! I had Dreamcast Adapters and they stopped working in no less then a month. And the Placement of the Joystick is off line.

  • you should return them...im pretty sure the xarcade has a lifetime warranty.. :)

  • Uh Yeah, if you don't know how to RETURN your product, you can't get them fixed. I've had mine for about two weeks and I'm satisfied on all fronts. While it doesn't feel as good as HAPP's buttons, that warranty is nice. Maybe later on I'll switch them out so my joysticks will still be covered. Mine also came with the dreamcast adapter, a ps/2 keyboard/usb adapter and some software I didn't need. But I really like it. Just wish It had dreamcast memory card support.

  • 2 weeks huh gl. also yeah the warranty is a nice thing but I don't want to pay the s&h and even deal with the whole mess.

update. 3weeks ago. after a year in storage I broke out the X Sticks duel and they work again.? just like that.

btw plug in your dreamcast controller into the 3rd or 4th slot on the console for memory card support.

  • I'm glad it works now for you. I'm more than willing to pay S+H if mine breaks down to get it replaced. Cheaper than buying another stick of this quality/build. As for my memory card issue, I mean some games use the Port-A Slot-1 memory card load/save which is annoying

  • ps2 adaptor for pc, which means u plug ur keyboard into the x-arcade, and xarcade into your pc's ps2 port. U need a ps2 keyboard to program the x-arcade. There are 3 programmable button setups, and 1 unprogrammable basic setup. If u have a laptop then u can use the USB adaptor. I have an x-arcade solo with a sanwa stick, and it feels nice, it's heavy, made of wood, the buttons feel ok. The best arcade stick u can buy, and it comes with a lifetime warranty.

  • use it damn it

  • Is it true it lags mame thriugh USB?

  • No works perfectly on PC through USB! I have Sanwa ball top sticks in my Xarcade, and with mame the perfect 2D beat em up machine!

    For now!!

  • hold on i got a laptop and where would i plug that ps keyboard port on my laptop (theres no where to plug it)

is there a usb instead of that

  • buy a ps/2 to usb adapter. they should only be 8 bucks at most

  • why don't any of these reviews show the dude actually using the arcade stick and playing it? thanks for showing us how it plugs in, but we'd also like to see it in action :S

  • yeah, it's a shame that mine just quit working...

It "WAS" a kick ass controller...

Their tech support people are slow and could care less about your problems.

  • yeah i have mame but i want a thing like this so it will be more arcade experience

  • I have the tankstick and man, it's the best dam thing for emulators !

  • yo chill u alreadi posted here

  • I have an x arcade stick for about a year now and I love it. It is full costomizable so you can change the buttons and joy stick out if you want but just know you are held resposible if you break it.

  • any reviews on the tankstick?

  • I just oredered the tankstick on sunday ! man, i can't wait to get it delivered ! playing with my emulators are going to be kick a**

  • MAS HRAP > X-Arcade

  • I have the tankstick which has the trackball. I built a MAME arcade cabinet and it's worked out great. For the price it was the best deal and it supports Xbox and PS2.

This is awesome for Marvel vs Capcom 2, I do prefer Street Fighter 2 Alpha

  • is this good for marvel vs capcom 2

  • i hear these suck! get a hrap!

  • what a pile of shit. he neva evan showed you it workin or evan how to plug it in. Utter Tosh

  • He made the review for the X-Arcade sound better than how it really is. He must not know the other joysticks that are out there. Seriously, the X-Arcade joysticks and buttons, compared to others, are by far the cheapest. The clicking noise is way too loud and annoying. The response on it isn't so great either. The X-Arcade may look nice on the outside, design/colors, and the console adapter feature is nice -- but their custom X-Arcade joystick and buttons were disappointing.

  • the x arcade stick is an industrial piece of hardware which you can custom design, adjust the sensitivity of the joysticks and replace individual parts. It is not very domesticated as these were originally made for arcade purposes.

  • I'm not sure what your point is?

  • the point is, the hori stick is just a toy where the x arcade is a serious piece of kit

  • I think you replied to the wrong person. I wasn't the who mentioned the Hori Stick. Still, the X-Arcade makes their own parts and it's not anywhere near the quality of a Happ. X-Arcade parts seem like "toy" too.

  • it was in reply to you, I know you didnt mention the hori stick, but you still think there are better joysticks out there than the x arcade, if there are others please post links, i would be interested.

  • I just told you... Happ Controls or if you want the best it's Sanwa. X-Arcade is just an imitation.

  • you put sanwa sticks into the x arcade

  • THe guy talks so slow and almost patronising :/ Go for a Hori Stick - Cheaper and better stick?

  • lol @ the Hori Stick!
