For all you cautious crossover voters who wanted ron paul but instead accepted obama because of his better chances of winning, i ask you if you are going to vote for Obama,to send emails wanting ron paul to be his one of his advisors or one that is close to cabinet, yes i know ron paul is not even in his party but if obama is going to be preseident lets at least ask him to take some advice from ron paul, never stop thinking!!!
Finally an ad that wants to talk about issues. I hink he is the better man for the white house since McCain has instilled old idealology. Now finally someone who wants to spend money on the US people.
How can ANYone listen to this ad and believe that the Republicans are the answer. OBAMA is our ONLY choice, the BEST choice, the RESPONSIBLE choice to lead the country into a new century. We've wasted 8 good years...we can't afford to give more time to the Republican party headed by McCain. A leader is only as good as the sum of the parts...and the parts are still old school Bush cronies.
Does anyone know where I can find information on Barack Obama's position on the genocide in Darfur? (Perhaps another youtube video or a website.) Thanks for responding.
Go Obama!! Even though I'm swedish I defently hope Obama wins for the worlds sake!!! (No more wars!) :D nad Btw Good ad, good way to handle the whole crisis thing :D
I know this is said every year, but if there is ever a more important year to vote, THIS YEAR is it. Please VOTE! Whew, with that said....Obama, you ARE the man. Funny that in the same breath the McCain ticket attacks him of being "simply" a community organizer AND a celebrity....hmmm, really? Wow. Our country can no longer be run by fear. We must stand up to fear, and those who want to control us by making us fearful of everything in life. We must say, "No more." Yes we can, yes we can!!!
i say that Obama's tax relief plan should be this: 1) freeze the assets of all those crooks on Wallstreet; 2) throw those Wallstreet crooks in jail; 3) use all their assets and distribute them to the middle and lower class in the US as tax relief packages. that's a real plan.
It seems everyone has forgotten about Iraq and the fact that we're wasting so much money there when it could be used in so many ways here. Thanks for brining it up Barack and keep attacking McCain on the fact that he'll waste money there for many years to come. We cant still win a war without wasting money!
If undecided voters dont understand this then their crazy!! Obama has focused on the issues. This will be my first time voting. I'm am also well informed and support this plan 100%. Vote OBAMA/BIDEN!!
Please stumble, digg, twitter, plurk or whatever . . . but spread this message around. Please. It's time that we become a UNITED NATION and deal with solutions, not pick at each other.
Obama 08! We are standing at the edge of a precipice. No one is quite sure what's on the other side. We can't afford to have McCain lead us through his path. Make sure to register. Make sure to vote for Obama!
Please stumble, digg, twitter, plurk or whatever . . . but spread this message around. Please. It's time that we become a UNITED NATION and deal with solutions, not pick at each other.
LOL! Exactly! I just giggle every time I hear someone from McCain's camp criticizing Obama's campaign for negative ads and smearing. Gee, did they forget the ad THEY just made?!?! I feel that Obama is taking the high road. I will stop what I am doing every time one of his ads come on, because I believe in him!! GO OBAMA '08!!
This is the best campaign ad released to date. I would love to see a continuation of these, each one addressing a different core issue. People are smarter than they are given credit for. Let's act that way.
I know this will not be a popular statement, but Obama's concept of communal "shared responsibility" represents the same myth attempted by former leaders. The truth is, we need every bit of every individual's skill and honest work to pull ourselves through this, and government will do nothing but get in the way, particularly a government under McCain or Obama.
I can't wait to see the debates. I think America will finally realize that despite their fears and prejudices, Obama is the right candidate to pull America back to it's former greatness and beyond. Again, Obama's poll numbers are leading and now Palin's numbers are declining. I think after the debates, there will be no doubt who is better capable to represent the American people and this great nation. No more lies, No more Bush, No more Rupublican trash!!!
He sounds like a President...a thoughtful, intellectually engaged President. He sounds like a President who can quickly wrap his mind around complex issues and give them the attention they deserve, rather than being told what to say and what to do about our myriad problems. He is the right man for right now.
If you want to learn about economic read this article by Joseph E. Stiglitz, professor at Columbia University, was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2001, on CNN
His plan is also laid out in clear and easy to understand language on his website. People who say he's all glitz and no substance don't have a leg to stand on. Compare Obama's plan with McCain's and it's easy to see which is the best candidate for fixing our economy. VOTE! REGISTER! VOTE!
NO EXCUSES! WE CAN'T AFFORD APATHY THIS TIME AROUND!
Funny how some of the reps are blaming Clinton for the situation our economy is in right now. IF that was the case the reps had 7 years to fix it didn't they?
Yeah, it makes sense to have this guy as our president but say that to the 46% that are voting for McCain. Half of them are poor Americans being fooled by false sense of Patriotism.
More tax breaks!? I know you've already refused to rescind tax breaks for the rich...But more tax cuts for the middle class? We have a trillion dollar deficit! Spare me the bread and circuses routine and tell me that you'll balance the budget and pull us away from the edge of the cliff.
It is odd to think that more regulation == less socialism, but the mess the republicans have gotten us in has put us in the position of having to socialize a major American company?
William F. Buckley Jr. must be spinning in his grave right now.
Great Ad! - the economy is the most important issue effecting most Americans negatively and Obama has the the plan and intelligence to begin rebuilding it.
I wish they would add available in Espanol to it as well to reach latin voters who have been hit hard too.
I really feel like this man has my best interests at heart. As a community organizer he has been WITH the people, LISTENING to them...instead of just ruling from up high and talking at us.
He is unlike any other politician I've ever known.
I love this man and his ideas and all that he stands for.
Even if he doesn't win the presidency he will have captivated millions of people around the world...with his dignity in tact. Can John McCain say that? No. Definitely not.
This is what it's about, ALL it's about, no bells, whistles, baiting or bashing. Just about our well-being as Americans. That's ALL the government should be focused on. The rest (any social agenda not pertaining to equity ought to be personal not political).
It makes me so upset that the Dems are the only one who seems to get this and people eat up the right-wing slander.
I'm completely and utterly floored that the polls shown the Presidential race to be a tight one. If this YouTube video does not open your eyes to the change and solution America needs; expect another long term of pain and misery. America needs change, not more of the same. While America bleeds, Obama shows you the cure, will you take it?
the Government and the Government Bailed out AIG! THINK NOW!! THAT IS LIKE THE FEDS PRINTING UP 80 BILLION DOLLARS ON THEIR PRINTING PRESS AND SAYING IT IS WORTH SOMETHING is it just me or does this sound illegal!
of the money, so in essence the equation can never be balanced out, causing a endless debt that can never be repaid. On the news they said The Federal Reserve Bank bailed out AIG and they referred to them as the Government, the FEDS are not the GOVERNMENT! The feds printed up 80 billion dollars out of thin air and loaned it to
and is backed by nothing it is like Monopoly money it is a PRODUCT, just like paper, food, cars, houses. When we buy products we are charged for overhead and a percentage profit margin when the Government gets a loan from the feds they charge them interest on the product that they made backed by nothing! This is the whole reason why we are in this mess. The interest charged on the product (money) is not proportional to the actual value
The money printers are the whole reason why we are in this financial crisis, who are the money printers? They are The federal Reserve Bank or FED for short, the FED has nothing to do with our Government they are not subject to our laws and our totally independent of the USA The FED are the international Bankers
they have the power to print money, this money is nothing more than special paper, ink, and a printer
One if the reasons the polls are so close is that people are spitting blame between a Republican president and a Democratic congress (many will feel the Dems are responsible for these corporate bailouts). Obama needs to actually define himself against that congress and also his party (something McCain has had to do) and also remind people of just how long the Republicans controlled congress and what they did/didn't do during that time to create the mess that exists today.
American elections are such a pleasure to watch, and watch it closely since Feb '07 I have. Barack will change the game - as you chaps like to say - with this ad. Not only does the message resonate on a practical level, it also demonstrates the petty tactics currently employed by McCain.
Lets get 12,500 more subscribers! Then we'll have 100,000 subscribers! Spread the world - I know it will make news too. They'll compare it to McCains 20,000 on CNN on prime time :)
At the electoral map, all Obama needs to do is hold on to Pennsylvania, and win Ohio and Michigan, and the election is won. He can give up Florida to McCain but he needs those 3 states so if your in that area please campaign.
Fannie: Gone. Freddie: Gone. Merrill: Gone. AIG: Owned by the Gov. Gas: $3.00/gal. Food costs rising. Energy costs rising. Dollar sinking today. Stock Market down 25% from its highs! Bush no where to be seen. Sure, go ahead and put another Republican in the White House.
To all of us who support Sen. Obama ,lets get out and work .Help register voters and spread an educated word to our friend and family who say that they are on the fence.(Obama '08)
i am voting for him.barrack is another george washington, thomas jefferson, abraham lincoln, ronald reagan and bill clinton.this guy is the real deal and he is christian so i know that he is real and is trustworthy.
Come on...this guy has the potential to be one of the greatest American presidents of all time. The people of the world will refer to any point in time after 2008 as 'Post Obama.'
I am SICK of the constant distractions from the McCain Campaign. I'm glad that Obama can communicate with the American people in a grown-up way, that is clear and to the point. One of the best ads to date.
i think mccain is a honest and down to earth hero, but palin has some really extreme views that i can never agree with and the possibility of her ruling the country is just crazy.
Sorry Obama is a good guy but too liberal for our state of Ohio. Free Education, Free Health Car, what's next a free car? Shrink the government don't expand it!
Fannie: Gone. Freddie: Gone. Merrill: Gone. AIG: Owned by the Gov. Gas: $3.00/gal. Food costs rising. Energy costs rising. Dollar sinking today. Stock Market down 25% from its highs! Bush no where to be seen. Sure, go ahead and put another Republican in the White House.
This has to be one of the best ads of this campaign. After the last few weeks of attacking McCain, Obama needed to put out a message of what he will do. This ad did that so well and in such a direct simple way. Show this everywhere!! Thanks Barack!
I liked the fact that he asked the American voters to go out and READ his plan. Many people think Barack Obama is vague, but he's given them all the information they need if they'd just read it / listen to it. By doing that, he shifts the responsibility of acceptance onto the American people, and that should always be the case.

MAN WITH A PLAN!

After slogging through 8 years of Republican disaster, America needs responsible, effective Democratic leadership.

American elections are such a pleasure to watch, and watch it closely since Feb '07 I have. Barack will change the game - as you chaps like to say - with this ad. Not only does the message resonate on a practical level, it also demonstrates the petty tactics currently employed by McCain.

Thank you Senator Obama for speaking to the American people in an intelligent and practical way.
Thanks for offering solutions and not a "commission" in which McCain suggested.
Where is President Bush?
Is he in hiding like he was after Katrina? Ike is the new Katrina.
There is an economic crisis in America and Bush is nowhere to be found.
President Obama would be front and center addressing the American people to keep us informed.
Vote for REAL change.

At the electoral map, all Obama needs to do is hold on to Pennsylvania, and win Ohio and Michigan, and the election is won. He can give up Florida to McCain but he needs those 3 states so if your in that area please campaign.

I am SICK of the constant distractions from the McCain Campaign. I'm glad that Obama can communicate with the American people in a grown-up way, that is clear and to the point. One of the best ads to date.

Come on, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia! We can't get this man to the White House without your help.

Letsgosooners is right!
We are counting on you Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Also:
In Florida, Kerry only lost by 380,000. 900,000 young people didn't show up. 400,000 african americans didn't show up. We can take that state.
In New Mexico, Kerry only lost by 10,000.
We can take that state!
Nevada and Colorado we need you too!
Lets make it a landslide!
Show the world we are not just RED and BLUE states but we are The United States!!!!

This has to be one of the best ads of this campaign. After the last few weeks of attacking McCain, Obama needed to put out a message of what he will do. This ad did that so well and in such a direct simple way. Show this everywhere!! Thanks Barack!
skar2552 3 years ago 67
I liked the fact that he asked the American voters to go out and READ his plan. Many people think Barack Obama is vague, but he's given them all the information they need if they'd just read it / listen to it. By doing that, he shifts the responsibility of acceptance onto the American people, and that should always be the case.
