@sstansbu It's preference. GH2 has been tested to show more detail in video mode, as well as have less moire and aliasing issues, but honestly if your target is YouTube it probably doesn't matter that much as any DSLR looks amazing compared to consumer camcorders as long as the person using them knows what they're doing. Pick whatever you're more comfortable with, and keep in mind that your camera is only as good as the lens you put on it.
i think you make really awesome videos so i wanted to ask you if you ever tryed out the g2 becouse i have and i would like to hear your opinion in it..
Hey! Great video!! I really want to do this with my Lumix G2 but I don't know how. Do you know how to do it? Please if you could reply that would be great!!
@planetrics they didn't say they used it much (and shooting wide open wouldn't make much sense in these scenes anyways)... but the fact is DSLR lenses (along with newers DSLRs with decent video modes) offer a much more cinematic potential than consumer camcorders. hence why indie filmmakers are flocking to DSLRs.
@radulica Panasonic just released the AG-AF100 that is price at 5k but amazing in quality! I use the 60D at the moment, but will graduate to the Panasonic or whatever they come out with that competes with that from CAnon~
What have you done to make everything so pumped up in the color? Have you played with the saturation afterwards?

Nice video I like the retro colors. You should re-edit the footage so all of it looks retro.

Smart video - question? How did you get the smokey pink and blue casts - was it with filters or in post production. Good effect.

Any thoughts?

I compared and checked reviews for months, but finally i've ordered the GH2. Mainly because of the follow focus option. Good luck.

this looks so cool. Where can i get a video camera that can film like this? I've only seen photo cameras that film like this..

@radulica
A normal HD camcorder doesn't have the depth of field like a DSLR so it will be hard to find a camcorder who shoots video like the GH2...
FenchelJanisch 1 year ago
@FenchelJanisch I see no depth of field here at all.
