wmm sucks shit. im having problems like on the timeline it screws it all up where the lyrics dont match going w/ the damn songs.it wastes my time but i still do it anyways.also when i import pictures and put them on the timeline,it messes up and where i put another pic, it puts the new one there.im thinking to get sony vegas or something.

For some reason, mine hasn't crashed for a long time, and I make quite a few videos with it. In fact, I can't even remember the last time it crashed. And I'm talking about all versions, since I've worked with all 3, and not just short videos. Also, it can get advanced as well, check out rehanfx .org to see just what you can customize in WMM

I worked real hard on a video and WMM just god damn won't save the video I worked hours on. I tried using hypercam. That works good. unfortunately, it laggs the living hell out of my video while it records. so i guess i'm out of luck. please help me.

Its good for converts AVI to a smaller file so it can upload it faster, but camtasia can do that and make it upload even faster, so windows movie maker sucks.

It's not the PC, you idiots. This program is riddled with bugs. My sytem has a 500 GB hard drive (350 Gigs available) and 2 Gigs of RAM. I have experienced numerous problems other than the one depicted in this video. Truth is: Microsoft sucks and they truly don't give a shit about the consumer. They included a shit program with their Vista OS, but didn't bother extensively testing it first. Thanks MS!

So when you load that auto-save file, your next action, no matter what is is, will definitely crash the program. But again, thanks for that wonderful tip. Well most of the videos i upload are from windows movie maker and it RARELY crashes. Maybe u need to upgrade your RAM! I have 2 gb and it runs just fine. Try cleaning up your computer as well. Get rid of garbage programs u dont use!

When I use movie maker it crashes when I import new content, it crashes when I scroll down to fast. When I slow down down a clip IT SLOWS DOWN THE CLIP BESIDE IT AS WELL, unless I delete it but sometime THAT doesn't work either and I have to overlapped it slightly. Sometimes it'll shutdown when I do FUCK ALL, and after all that it won't convert the finished file to Wmv! It say the location isn't valid.

The location is the DESKTOP!

Luckily, the moviemaker on thsi computer doesn't crash very often since we just restored the computer about a month ago.

One good tip about moviemaker: ALWAYS make sure the videos you upload are WMV before you start editing. Otherwise, the thing just keeps freezing, and clips take forever to split and put onto the timeline. It's a fuckin mess. And if you use a format other than WMV and try to save the movie, chances are it won't save. I dunno y MM can't handle other formats well. Gay

Even mpeg, which I'd say is one of the best video formats, doesn't save or oftentimes work well on MM. It fuckin blows. Premiere, on the other hand, is a lot more flexible. However, sometimes it takes forever to save your movies.

The only great thing about moviemaker is that, typically, movies don't take long to save. You can also cut down the huge Adobe Premiere video sizes by resaving them as WMVs through MM.

I hate moviemaker, but there's really no free or cheap alternative that's good. Ulead and Premiere cost a buttload of money. I once had a friend send me a d/l over aim of premiere, but I don't feel like asking him and bothering him again. He's not online very often anyway.
