Well, in the actual battle (not that this is any similar to the actual battle) there were actually 7,000 Greek soldiers fighting 100,000 Persians. The reason why it's called the "Last Stand of the 300" is because it was 300 Spartans backed up by 6,700 allies from other city-states.

Actually, there were 10,000 greeks and there were 100,000 persians , but the greeks were betrayd by a citizent called Efialtis that showed the Persians a path to round up the greeks. ok heres what happened, people estimated that there was 50-300 spartans (with greek allies) it was said their were 2 million persian soldiers. while the spartans fought against the persian footsoldiers, ships were coming from a peninsula to flank the spartans, but a great spartan hero (forgot his name) defended against him with his ships. the persians kept on coming wave after wave untill greece retreted back to their city, and without their help the spartans defended against perian arrows -->
