When I was little I didn't understand that she was dead in this scene. My first thought was that in her sleep she sees him every night, and didn't - in fact - let him go. But I think her death is a happier ending; a lifetime of waiting to be with the one you love is a lifetime of misery.

M sick of people saying Rose let go of Jack. She didn't it wasn't a "i'll never let go of your body" promise it was a promise that she would live life to the full and not die in the ocean when the ship sank and she fulfilled that promise and was reunited with Jack after living a long life so they could start a new life together in heaven.
