im sure you know this by now but hitting the Y button works also like hitting the A button when attacking. an example is mallows thunderbolt attack. hit y at the right time after the attack and an extra flash emits the screen making the attack stronger. YAY!

Hey, mon, Mallow isn't that bad... I mean, in the ship he's pretty darn useful with his ultra cheap Thunderbolt. But it's important to only use magic boosts on him on the level ups.
