Upgrading front suspension and making chassis stiffer won't help, since you are basicly ruining cars weight balance with larger engine. Gutted CRX is very light car, maybe around 1600 pounds.

infact, put a GT40R turbo on a K24, and then a 5.0 ford, I put my money on the K24 requiring less modifications to breathe that amount of boost (cams, headwork, ect).
for instance, a stock block K24 can handle 700whp, but it only needs cams to breathe that air
i know for a fact a 5.0 wont perform that high without aftermarket heads, and a cam at the least

@xboxgnome what experience are you basing this on? the engine I was talking about is the K-series, they can make insane power on stock internals. if you're talking about a POS D-series, or B18b, then 400hp is beyond the limit for stock internals. I currently own a K24 powered EK civic hatch that is making 530whp on stock internals, and its been setup that way for over a year and a half. i've put 20,000 kms on it, and done tons of racing. only maintenance done is oil changes.

But I had to get rid of it since I have started trying to persue a degree (no time or money to put into the car). Now I own a '98 Eagle Talon and absolutely love it. But I had to get rid of it since I have started trying to persue a degree (no time or money to put into the car). Now I own a '98 Eagle Talon and absolutely love it. Sure, it doesn't have the brute strength my Camaro had but it's still fun as hell to drive and hopefully after I get out of school I can build it up to be on par with my Camaro. People like us just like to go fast, no matter what it's in.
