Well they don't serve in direct combat units like 0300 and 0800 but the ones I came across are just as capable in their jobs as their male counter parts.
In these two latest wars they sometimes are in direct combat units. There is a loophole that the brass is using. Females are assigned to combat support units and then qualified ones are then 'attached' to direct action units.
