I think I thought about it as a cliché. The Cold Protestant North where scrubbing and mopping is a frustrated substitute for sex as opposed to the dirty sexy South where they don't have such inhibitions...
About East Jerusalem I actually meant outside the Old City (though it lies in East Jerusalem). But I think why it was that extreme, was because I lived around a market where a lot of people came and went. In the Old City there actually seemed to be a lot of effort to clean it up...

Hi HogRebel, ya, its me, GoodNight, and I can tell you his name is Frank Caliendo. I actually had seen this video before, because I got addicted to Bush impressions. He's the best Bush impersonator I've seen so far.
In the Navy, I went to Naples, Italy / Athens, Greece, Palma de Mallorca, Spain, and Haifa, Israel, and ALL of them were pretty nasty-dirty! Naples, especially! We called it the "Armpit Of The MED"! >:P I hear they cleaned it up, some, anyway. Hope you're having a good day! Tak! ; )
Hi, HogRebel, Not been a lot around in the Mediterranean myself, I only crossed Naples on my way to Pompeii, I did see Rome and yes it tends to be more "trashy" (don't know if thats the proper word that applies). "The Armpit of the Med"? Doesn't make me want to go to Naples! Worst place I went though, was East Jerusalem, some of the streets just outside the Old City was literally littered with garbage. Anyway hope you also having a good day.
