Re-watching this makes me smile, I've now read the manga and re-watched the entire series. Definitely one of my favorites, and Youko is still one of my favorite fictional characters in existence.
Well, he seemed to like her not too far into the series, but every time he imagined them getting married and having kids, he'd see her cradling a litter of dog puppies. Somewhat inaccurate, since she's actually a 9-tailed kitsune(if you read the manga, they hint at this after just a few chapters). Though I don't know if in this series' reality, if humans and spirits can even procreate with each other. I know in Kanokon and Inuyasha they could, but I don't know about this series.
I was so annoyed at Keita for a while, Youko is a beautiful girl, and he broke her heart so many times! But I'm really glad they ended up together, great job!
