i think if you use the same sword without changing it gradually becomes stronger because i can hit like 8000 with the buster sword (never swapped throughtout the game)

You know what always surprised me about ff7, they force you to keep the buster sword in your inventory despite the fact that it's useless. I always believed it was there because you could power if up later in the game, i mean, no other characters kept their initial weapon.

Yeah there is a monster you can get the mimic? materia from I'm not sure which materia but ti's hella good. Took me 3 days of playing to get it to drop from the monster though.

Its the tyranosouras looking monster. In gongaga. It is the only monster in the area by the blown up reactor. He has 1600 hp.

so basically. if your late in the game use conformer or death penalty to instantly morph the guy. Power sources fast! takes about 10 minutes per six sources on disk one!

The final battle against Sephiroth technically doesn't have an HP value. The battle ends as soon as Cloud performs an action against him. There's a video of someone using Steal on him and it ends the battle, and he didn't even do damage. =/

Ah that would make sense, I saw a video with him only having 1Hp but that must be needed for the system. It would make sense that the turn ends straight afterwards as your suppose to preform omnislash. :)

I got cloud so icnredibly high that final fantasy was so sad. walking around with nothing being able to hit me at all. the ending boss was easy.

if any one wants 99 hero drinks i have a way but it is taking a chance go find a hero drink (dosent matter where) ress circl on it but dont press it again open your disc tray and keep tapping circle and it will just add em up it also works on any other item but you can ruin you ps1 or ps2

you find once you get your luck to 255 bout 8 out 0f 10 (if not 9 out of 10) hits are crit hits. Plus there's clearly no ue of hero drinks being used or me and my friend with of posted them taking hero drinks. maybe stop with the negative nacy :P

Oh and the luck and dex increase the chance of a critical hit, I think the most you can get it is around 90%.

Oh and don't bother correcting me if it's dex or agi :P I play too many games to remember which game uses which convention.

i was just saying...but i believe you could inflict 9999 damage with buster sword on any enemy exept mabye the sahagins or whatever in casmo canyon desert. with 255 strength you could do 9999 damage on almost anything with any sword. it just takes several hours morphing foes

I had a plan long ago to get Cloud to deal out 9999 with each hit. But with all the new games out I kinda forgot about it. Something to do with maxing luck and str and dex.

stat maxing immediately after you get morph (that is, once Aeris leaves the party and you wake up in Gongaga) is the way to go... 255 in, if you're good, about 5 hours... max speed settings ftw!

I'm afraid getting 255 won't do 9999 only about 9300 but if you get 255 luck aswell then 90% hits will be critical so then it will be 9999 and yes it is the ps1 version and you'll need alot more than 50 more power sources as towards the end about 225 onwards one power source won't = one point (sorry to bear so much bad news lol)

Champion ship belt does strengh and vitality +10 and costs 16,000 bp at the battle arena, but at level 99 with 255 stats that won't really help much and yes the only place you can morph for luck sources is the sunken gelnika and you get them from Bap Raps but using yuffie with conformer or vincent with a fully powered up death penalty morph will do enormous damage. luck plus materia only increases luck by 50% when mastered so you will need alot or a high luck stat to begin with.

theres game shark and armax its cheat discs which you use to change hex codes(the things that make the game work)so you can like even make your damage to become over 9999

Hmmm that's good but try doing it without materia believe me it makes a huge difference you do have to spend about 2 months in the Gelnika (Can't spell it lol) But you can get 255 on everything and then you don't even need materia except for Ruby and you can even do that without materia at a push.

I used to forget that one alot but once you now how, it's easy just touch the hot springs in the snow fields then head left and eventually you'll come across a cave, inside is a woman scared of the heat from the hot springs, you battle her and she drops the alexander materia

Nooooooooo no no no no unlike other Final Fantasies, when you get to 99 in 7 your stats are no where near full and so you have to rely on other things to aid your damage, one of these being the strength of the weapon and the weapon used in this video is lowest strength weapon you can give that character.
