  • 3 zombies in the mix

  • !!! WOW !!!

  • astrein, toll, dass niemand singt

  • its so cool seeing a long time influence of mine playing with a newer influence because i decided to go buy a slide. i like it alot

  • They look 'surreal', as if magically playing their guitars! Fan-f#%$-tastic!!!

  • This is just fantastic, cheers for sticking this up.

  • I love them. ¿Does anybody know where could I get this track? Iwebender, thanks for this gift.

  • @leoaquitania08 this was an an album ,the healer ,santana /john lee hooker ,great album pick it up

  • someone compared santana to hendrix. im sick of listening his 2 licks he plays all the time. Someone teaches him to jam - Ry!!!

  • so.. i wonder what f.. ru doing here?

  • Grande RY !!

  • As if anybody needed to....LOL....THIS GUY RY IS FANTASTIC !@!!!!

  • Two great guitarists with different styles in action!!!!! Ladies and gentlemen, we are all in the presence of real geniuses!!!!!

  • good*****

  • any jackass that says ry cooder is better than carlos santana has no understanding of music at all. Neither are better than each other they have different styles that equal in their own personal interpretation and how they deliver it. Learn your music or better yet feel your music! asshole comments from jackasses!

  • @rvphoto Carlos ....why don't you play in a major key for a change ....Dmin and Amin or getting ahhhhh zzzzz a tad BORING!!!!!

  • @ryreinhardt wow what a good name you have two of the absolute best

  • @ryreinhardt The thing is, Lightnin Hopkins only played in two keys and most of his songs sound the same. John Lee Hooker also Albert King only played about 5 notes.. But that is their style and they are still legends.

    Minimalism can be effective.

But Carlos did some seriously intricate things with John McLaughlin ..consider "Flame Sky".

  • @taildragger53 It's what's called a pentatonic scale. Great for blues but you can't play the melody for Mary Had a Little Lamb with 5 notes.

  • @BlundeePoocus Yes, thank you.

I'm familar with the pentatonic scale/mixolydian mode plus all others scales modes..

I teach jazz guitar in the Wes Montgomery style. Have played guitar since 1968.

  • Ry Cooder Yes Yes Yes Amazing

  • there is no one trick pony anywhere in this - this is PRIMO!!! i mean, improve on this? aint gonna happen

  • Ry cooder shuts the stage down!!!! What taste! What technique! What a guy!

Santana really shines though when he gets that shaker out. I think he missed his calling there.

    (Its a joke)

  • Terrific performance. I really can't believe the petty sniping comments going on here about this number. Carlos Santana a 'one trick pony'? Really. Ry Cooder is one terrific guitarist and a musician's musician. Carlos Santana invented a new genre. I heard him play in '68, 69 (small crowd in Bethel for that one) '85 and again in '88. He can tear the roof off a concert hall or have you crying with the notes he puuls out of that guitar. One trick pony. Indeed.

  • Brilliant !

    Thanks adding this video.

  • fucking sweet

  • Yeah ,I guess everbody does it better than 'poor ol Carlos' but then here's a man who broke latin into rock mainstream and plays the groove-always rather than worrying about shredding his ass off every night.I 'd go for a groove player first anytime.

  • woooooow. Cooder RULEZ.

  • Amazing how Ry blends right into this. So versatile this guy....

  • @oceanplanet602 c`mon guys, be wise! both santana and cooder are the masters of their fields and unique each one in his style. Not everyone must be a Henrix or a Clapton, though that`s the matter of taste too))

  • @oceanplanet602

    He loves the Latin tempo.

  • @omerthekat I couldn't teach cooder anything ... he can play just about anything unlike the one trick pony that is Santana....he has not progressed one bit in 40 yrs.

but he does santana stuff pretty good

  • @omerthekat ..idiot

  • @omerthekat : LOL! Good response!

  • @omerthekat dont be an ass, ass!!!!!

  • poor ole Carlos only knows how to play in minor keys - hardly ever plays a chord can't sing, never touches an accoustic guitar and all his stuff sounds the same - stuck in rut!!

  • @ryreinhardt carlos is the only guy who won 8 grammys for one album except michael jackson , and if you think his playing always sound the same you should listen some of his early stuff(abraxas, moonflower etc.),and don't talk trash about him,he is the reason i've decided to start playing guitar 6 years ago

  • @johnydeltablues Totally agree, he's a legend, I have all his albums and I listen to them every single day. I like Oneness : Silver Dreams Golden Reality, this album comes from the sky.

  • @johnydeltablues CARAVANSERAI, BORBOLETTA, SWING OF DELIGHT,WELLCOME ETC ETC ETC AND ETC!!! THANKS!!! CARLOS SANTANA IS THE ONE!!!!!!!UNIVERSAL MUSIC!!!!!
