  • Omg wonder girs I met them they were mean

  • The reason Lotte uses November 11 to promote Pepero is because it's 11-11, thus looking like two pairs of Pepero sticks. It's not Veteran's or Remembrance Day there because Korea generally was not involved in the First World War.

  • wow, ive always been eating pepero and pocky and never knew this :D

  • nice ^^

  • thanx i like your video

  • Here in America, Nov. 11th is "Use the veterans as an excuse to take the day off from work/school" day. I'd much rather celebrate Pepero Day. Sadly, even though I'm surrounded by a bunch of koreans who claim they love me, I did not get a single box. ;_;

  • @kagnomi use the verterans as an excuse? that's plain rude. commercial days like valentines' day and pepero day was made for companies to rip money off of students who don't see spending as a big deal. as much as I like the snacks I don't like the pepero day event because in Korea it's supposed to be farmer's appreciation day and nobody gives a crap about it since pepero day gets all the media attention and is more advertised

  • @tokee1234567 It's not rude - it's the sad truth. When most people say Veteran's day is coming up, they're not reflecting on our fighting men and women or going to memorials. They're thinking "Thank goodness - I get a day off work/school!"

  • @tokee1234567 Valentine's Day in the West was not conceived as a marketing day. It started out as a pagan matchmaking festival to signal the approach of springtime, then got co-opted by the Christian church to celebrate romantic love within a Christian framework. The candy and cards crap got started much, much later, then got exported to Asia as such. February 14 is also famous for a Chicago gangland massacre -- good thing that idea didn't get taken overseas.

  • @kagnomi While I agree that a lot people use the day as an excuse to get out of work or school and that not all that many Americans care about veterans, November 11th still is an important day to remember those who have served their country in the military (in the US), and those who have died for it (in Canada and Western Europe).

  • Yummy

  • Ahhhhh!!! WONDERGIRLS IN BACKGRAOUND!!!! I'm African American and i love em! I am proably going to Korea for summer one year!

  • remembrance day? in austria it's called saint martin's day...

  • Nobody by the wondergirls is in the background!!!

  • Pepero Day is basically a Korean valentines day. :p

  • it's a day for lovers mostly. The lovers eat the pepero from each side and come closer..closer...then KISS!

  • Well, from my eye, november 11th is rememberance day, and it is pepero day in Korea.

  • i hear "nobody nobody but you" in the background! :)

  • i dont really get what that hollyday is about... is it just to make ppl buy some stuff and give it to other ppl? or does it have another meaning? it seems kind of..i dont know, stupid...but im no one to judge

  • pepero day is just another way for LOTTE to suck the money out of every girls and boys. i hate that scumbag company... so dirty. even tho its korean. fuck that shit. they suck dick. they always do dirty business.

  • If you think of it that way, Halloween, Christmas, Valentines day, etc. are all evil days where big companies makes you spend your money.

  • ._. that store's playlist is almost exactly like my own.

    right after

    nobody; wonder girls

is hey mr. big lee hyori.

    scary .

  • -_- its not pep-ero its pep-edo. thats how you say it.

  • uh... it's pepero... or 빼빼로

  • You clearly don't know things here...

  • @XxKorritoxX it's pepero. pe pe ro. it's how it's written. i've never heard pepedo. who told you it's pepedo?

  • it's not POCKY its PEPERO.

Cool vid none the less ;)

  • pocky is the japanese name. pepero is the korean name of the product.

  • no.

    en(.)wikipedia(.)org/wiki/Pepero

  • yea?? i'm right it's the korean name for the product.

  • "It was inspired by the Japanese product Pocky."

Where does it say Pocky and Pepero belong in the same company? Pepero is from LOTTE and Pocky is from Glico.

  • well who said that they belong in the same company? stop bringing unrelated sidefacts into the conversation!

  • ok first all what product are you talking about?

Are you implying Pepero is the korean name of Pocky? What I'm getting at is they're obviously not from the same company and they're two different snacks from different countries.

  • pepero. i'm saying that it's a korean name of pocky, influenced by pocky at least,

  • Yes, pocky is from japan and

    pepero is from korea

i dunno whether they agreed to make same product as them, but one thing is, pocky is the origin.

  • nobody gives a crap, dude.

  • Koreans don't give a crap about WW1 nor WW2.

    For europe and North America?

    Big shit dude.

  • Big shit yourself, ass-wipe.

    And it's dudette, you dick.

  • why, you got mad cuz you think im being ignorant to them cuz of that days?

    Probably you are korean.

    short temped or something?

I guess so, does all koreans are short tempered like you?

Obviously not because IM KOREAN you idiot.

    ㅠ_ㅠ good video!

  • How is making a video to EXPLAIN a Korean holiday a lack of cultural understanding?

I don't understand why you wrote that, and no where in this video did we "ridicule" Korea. In fact, if you watched the video, I did mentioned that I bought Pepero for Pepero Day.

  • his not korean.. he acts korean n ridicule ppl,,, i've seen him around before dont even pay attention (have u ever haerd of that one island country next to korea??,, yeah thats where this freaks from really,, n u do know bout how much krns hate em..rofls..this is why.)
