All the StS albums are great, but I love "New Moon" the most because of the black metal tinges they throw into the mix of melodeath and doom. You can hear it clearly in this song as well as Horror pt 3. Amazing combination and songwriting.

This is basically the story of "Twin Peaks" - 'the owls are not what they seem', 'Black lodge' and 'red room' are direct quotes from the tv series and movie. The story of a demon possessed murderer is the same in Twin Peaks as in these lyrics. These guys must love Twin Peaks - they already have a song called "Ghost of Laura Palmer". Anyway, awesome band.

They have said time and time again that they DO have black metal influences and DO want to have some of the black metal influences in their music (hence why Plague of Butterflies started to use the different vocal style)

I personally LOVE it it sounds EPIC in every fashion and still retains its melancholic melodic doom sound to it while having the brutal black vox
