  • If you want to see amazing stuff, check out Sakutaba when he was in Japanese PW (Kingdom maybe was the name). That was wrestling that looked like fighting!

  • Done Frye with long hair looks badass.

  • hahaha, compare this fight with a real mma fight, funny

  • If it wasn't for New japan pro wrestling Heck rikidozan or antonio inoki there would be no UFC or MMA.

  • c est nul!!

  • lol at Don Frye with long hair

  • but people in america dont understand that pro wrestling in japan is a very serious subject. the really view it as an art.

  • What year is this? Frye has long hair?

  • scott norton killed him. why isnt he in the ufc

  • If you want people to watch MMA, you're going about it the wrong way by putting down stuff other people enjoy watching. Simple as that. Go fucking tell people watching Friends that it's fake and to watch MMA. Same damn thing.

  • It amazes me that people in this day and age, even after the wrestling business itself has come out of the closet and openly admitted it, still go around trying desperately to convince people that wrestling is fake when EVERYONE ALREADY KNOWS ITS FAKE. If you go on videos announcing that wrestling is fake, you're a fucking idiot, because everyone already knows this. Since like fucking 1998, it's been no secret. And guess what.. wrestling fans don't give a shit. Never have and never will.

  • @JPThunder01 ded ya knew that wrestileng mayy be fak ?

  • @JPThunder01 the trick of wrestling is if you can find a match that feels real...that feels like a genuine real fight. There are couple of matches that actually have the quality. Some of the bruiser brody adbullah matches, the original iron sheik matches, bret hart vs stone cold at wm13...thats the trick to find something that has a real quality to it..

  • Did you see that slam at :57 mark? Norton's the man, too bad he wasn't used right in WCW.

  • It makes me smile that the world knows wrestling in "fake" but yet lots off mixed martial artist or martial artist in general at one point in Their lives have wanted or competed in pro wrestling especially in japan wrestling is very respected in japan as a sport so ppl stop hating on wrestling lol

  • Will the MMA marks please FUCK OFF and STOP clicking on pro wrestling matches!!! It seems just about every wrestling video on youtube has some elitist MMA fuckwit mark proclaiming wrestling is fake as if they're the first person in existance privy to that knowledge. EVERY pro wrestling fan knows it's FIXED NOT FAKE, wrestling has had MANY very serious injuries since it's existance and takes very tough individuals to get in the ring and ALOT of skill and other attributes to be successful.

  • its not all fake . talk to stoen cold he dam near loos his life.geting pildriver by owen hart. wrestlers dont get black eyes and stuff.but they get alot of broken bones and torn body parts.and i think if you didnt do the sport then u have no thing to say

  • its not don fye

  • @pasztecik08 You're absolutely right, it's not "don fye" but it IS Don Frye!!

  • I didn't even know DOn Frye had done pro wrestling... cool, I guess you really do learn something every day :)

  • параша

  • if Kenny Powers completed his steroid cycle and hit the weights hard this is exactly how he would look.

  • Don Frye has no life!

  • @MrLinder says the dude watching professional wrestling on youtube. good call dick cheese.

  • coming from someone that took his time to comment on the video.. good call, dick cheese.

  • I didnt know don was a wrestler before he went into mma..

  • wow this is funny but wheres da audio

  • 1:04 Botch!!!!!!! Don Frye was actually in a arcade game in Japan.

  • for some reason my sound wont work

  • @cabrera1234 mine either, maybe it is the video?

  • @cabrera1234 i THINK IT IS THE VIDEO, MAN. MY SOUND ISN'T WORKING EITHER. sorry about the capslock. I forgot it was on

  • How the hell Don Frye manage to get big like that I remember watching his UFC figths his not that big

  • take a guess...

notice anything diff about the pride fighters that got bought up by the ufc???

  • Care to explan that statement? Seriously, I know what you are implying, and I'd like to see you try to defend it.

  • Steroids. Look at Brock Lesnar. 300+ pounds in WWE. He comes to MMA and now weighs in at 260-270lbs. mmmmm......I wonder where all those extra 50lbs went? Same thing for Bobby Lashley. Huge size difference since he left wrestling for MMA.

Although I don't agree with sudokcd on steroids in Pride. Pride was pretty clean. It wasn't some backyard fighting production. Don Frye wasn't that big in Pride. He was very cut and muscular but not super huge like in this clip.

  • Lol. Bobby Lashley is the same size. Lesnar has been huge since he was in college. You have no idea what you are talking about anyway, Since Lesnar wtill has to cut weight to make 265. Stop trying to stereotype WWE guys.

And lol at PRIDE being pretty clean. Who told you that?

  • All you have to do is go watch a few Lesnar and Lashley vids from their time in WWE. They are easily twice the size that they are today. We are talking a 4 inch difference on the biceps. Just look at their shoulders and traps. They were way more ripped and huge back in WWE. Compare the vids yourself on youtube.

So yeah, nobody juices in WWE right? Tell that to HHH. Guy went from 240lbs to 280 like he is today.

  • 4 inch difference in their Biceps? Are you kidding? You clearly don't have a clue what you are talking abouit.

I have, Lesnar didn't change much, neither did Lashley. Both in fact changed less than I expected them to with the shift in focus of their training.

  • If you remember correctly he was alot smaller than that when HHH was Hunter Hearst Helmsley back in WWF not WWE, he was like 185 lbs, then Degeneration X showed up with Shawn Michaels and he went from 185-265 in like 6 months time.

  • maddingo - I agree with the HHH statement all the way bud, but I beg to differ with Lesnar and maybe Lashley (I question that too). MMA fighters have a much different workout than WWE wrestlers. MMA fighters have to train for cardio, seeing how they're constantly fighting possibly for 5 5 minute rounds. They have to have speed as well. WWE stars can just be big and survive, without a serious cardio workout. Whether Lesnar or Lashley did idk, but I 100% backup Lesnar, Lashley hopefully not.

  • nah dude wrestlers cardio train too if you cant hold a 30 min. match you more than likely wont make it.

  • Nah, if you notice, they use more rest holds to really slow a match down. A ppv main event last 15-20 tops, unless it's an ironman. Not going to say they're not in cardio condition, but they definitely don't have the cardio of fighters.

  • ok... come train with me.

    lol.

  • the traditional wrestlers like steamboat, flair, briscoe, kobashi, etc...all wrestled 40+ minute matches regularly

  • Ok, say a wrestling match goes 30 minutes. It has nothing on a 12 round boxing bout, or a 25 minute MMA bout. All I'm saying is of course Lashley & Brock shed weight in MMA. You need to in order to make it. 300 punches, takedowns, submissions & kicks, vs. pre scripted swinging foot stomps (the punching effects). Part of it is too, the damage factor. Getting beat up within 30 takes most of your energy. As much as I love pro wrestling, it's planned and allows guys out of shape to compete.

  • Most HW MMA fighters could get that big if they wanted to, just eat more and do more hi-rep, relatively low weight workouts. The reason they don't is that there isn't any upside to it. In MMA you want functional strength, in Pro Wrestling, since who wins has been decided beforehand, you want show muscle. The majority of that weight gain is not functional strength, although it looks impressive. The width of muscle strands can vary without affecting their tensile power.

  • For more information on the difference between functional strength gain and show muscle, check out the article on Muscle hypertrophy on wikipedia.

  • You are living in another world if you don't see the difference in size between HHH now and the mid to early 90s. HHH was easily the size of a Bret Hart or Randy Savage. Somewhere in the 230-245lbs range. Yes, you can bigger with a change of diet and workout. But when somebody has been training their whole life and is already developed and then adds on another 40lbs beyond what they gained in 10+ years in the gym I have to question that.. There are limits to natural gains dictated by genetics.

  • Wow,as a bodybuilder and as a master of science in Kinesiology i have to say that YOU HAVE NO CLUE.

  • Damn man! Not just anybody can be a fake fighter. That does take some skill. Don just stick to getting your ass kick in the cage.

  • come on don frye, what the freak are you doing here

  • wtf is up with dons hair!

  • Don is a much better MMA fighter than a professional wrestler. but the long hair real neat!

  • don frye with hair? lol cool

  • What year is this match from?

  • this is for kids, where is real fight

  • Oh, it's wrestling. Thought was going to be an actual fight.

  • Norton would not want that.

  • HAHA yes for sure not

  • 4 life

  • first time I see frye with long hair. he is better when he fights.. :D

  • It curiously appears like they are making out near the end there...

  • Knowing Don Frye.. HE IS MAKING OUT NEAR THE END :)!!

  • When was this match???

  • sexy outfit dude in black is wearing

  • SCOTT FLASH NORTON!!!!!!!!!!

  • frye dosent do too good a job of faking it. good that hes stuck to the real thing.

  • don wouldnt have won this wrestling toe 2 toe with norton, dude bench presses 600lbs.,and hes a pro wrestler, but frye is da real deal.

  • don wouldnt have won this wrestling toe 2 toe with norton, dude bench presses 600lbs.,and hes a pro wrestler, but frye is da real deal.

  • Remember is that both of these guys are legitimate tough guys. Norton:arm wrestling champ before wrestling in Japan/WCW.Don Frye was a UFC pioneer & firefighter before wrestling. Pro wrestling became an avenue to make more money as Japanese promotions were trying to cross promote MMA with wrestling to draw appeal of both fan bases.Remember that in Japan pro wrestling is a respected art and sport. While watching this video I could feel the impact of the bumps!

  • Good times, I forgot how Norton always seemed like he was in his third trimester!

  • stick to fighting don

  • don frye is a well respected fighter in mma and he never has worked for the wwe... in japan pro wrestling is not viewed the same way it is in north america...

plenty of mma fighters have done pro wrestling in japan and nobody disrespects them because pro wrestlers in japan are as respected as kick boxers, boxers, judokas, sumo wrestlers and mma fighters...

the most well respected mma fighter of all time is sakuraba and he is a former pro wrestler and nobody disrespects him in the world of mma

  • @glory1999

    yes sure

but thier mathces are staged , with out disrespect its still FAKE .

  • @mouaaz911 It's just as fake as any other tv show or movie you watch. It's all fake. If you watch a film and a guy get shot by a gun is it real? Of course not. It's entertainment and that's all pro wrestling is. Nothing more than that.

  • @glory1999

thats because japanese ppl are no biggots like americans.

Of yourse wrestler wouldn't stand a chance against pro fighters because all their life they trainind wrestling instead of martial arts.

And many wrestlers make good mma fighters for example brock lesnar

  • damn, don fry looks badass

  • when wes this?

  • scott norton is pure raw powerr man

  • when a fighter is doing fake wrestling, he's washed up looking for a buck

  • what like the fake fighters who founded pancrase the fake fighter who beat quinton jackson royce gracie and ken shamrock oh dear u are stupid

  • Kazushi Sakuraba started off as a "fake" fighter but learned MMAish tactics fast and did awesome in UFC. He has beaten more Gracies in MMA events than anyone I can think of.

  • "Did awesome in Pride" is what I meant.

  • He did well in UFC too. He won the first UFC-Japan tournament.

  • Yeah Saku beat "Conan" in UFC. "Conan" is a black belt in BJJ also. That was an awesome finish too, Saku submitted a BJJ black belt that has various wins in the BJJ championships in Brazil! Saku was the man.

  • Sakuraba is awesome, but just to clarify, his pedigree isn't as a 'fake' fighter, lol. He was trained as a catch-wrestler, like many of the great japanese fighters. These guys were/are no joke and know many submission. Even the ones in pro-wrestling were really tough. Saku fought as a pro wrestler, true, but look at his old Bushido footage and tell me if that's fake.

  • The old Bushido footage isn't fake, but the matches are still pre determined. Doesn't mean the holds and slams themselves don't hurt like hell because they probably did.

  • actually he already knew the technique that has helped him out the most catch wrestling japanese pro wrestlers have been very influential in mma and alot of them have donw well

  • watch the pin after the power bomb....the ref barely reached the count of 2, what the fuck?

  • don Looks less cool here

  • damn he power bomb the shit out of him lol

  • damn!

  • Never seen Don with a full goatee or long hair before.

  • Built like a brick. He's definitely got a power lifter's physique.

  • 98-2000 was the year

  • Scott Norton is a thick ass dude.

  • Frye looks like Adam Bomb

  • Norton passed out for a few minutes - the ref should have called the match.

  • Fyre looks like a short version of the Great Khali! :P

  • haha what ugly

  • know this fake but don frye is a bad mo fo...wrecked people in old school ufc

  • I've never seen Frye with the long hare before , Looks even more baddass . Any body knows what year was this?

  • Heh heh - Scott Norton looks like a butterball version of Stone Cold Steve Austin in this! :-)

  • ni idea q frye hacia pro wrestling

  • I thought I was watching old Texas wrestling. I was wondering when the Freebirds were coming out.

  • what year is this???????

  • lol, love the hair. Glorious.
