My contacts in the state BLS where I live have been telling me for over a year now that their data and other states' data shows real unemployment rate is appx. 23%. We have been lied to by the federal Dept of Labor as well as the obama admin. Ron Paul will not be president as they cannot afford for him to tell us that truth as well as others. one has to look into poverty statistics, into food stamp statistics!!!

but inofficially they have 8 million (20%).

The governments manipulate the unemployment statistics by sending unemployed into job training programs, forcing them to retire earlier, forcing them into jobs they can't live of and get additional social security to their low wages. This happens only with the intention to get them out of the unemployment statistics, so the goverments look good.

For example, Spain has 40 million inhabitants, but 5 million unemployed.

That's 25% unemployed!!!
