@berzerkerkin They discontinued that bali a very long time ago. From what I hear they were forced to. CS is based in California, where they passed a law that declares the mere ownership of a large bali a FELONY (a very unjust law). And a bali that small (under 2 inches) is pretty much useless to flip, so instead of shrinking the Archangel, they discontinued it, replacing it with legal "balisongs" like the Paradox.

Bought my first balisong from Balisong, Batangas, Philippines (yes, the knife is named after the place where it is originally made from). Traditional testing means that a good balisong should penetrate a coin without damage to the knife. If it breaks you don't have to buy it or pay for it.

But try a kimura; it doesn`t have a spring latch, but it feels as well built as my BM51.

bear and sons are SHIT!!!!! the handle become loose from the blade and are very sloppy once that happens might i add is also very dangerous unless you dont care about your eyes.

The Bear and Sons knife is AMAZING. Yeah it looks simple and doesn't have that fancy crap but performance wise i love it. Ive only had 2 problems with it, 1 was the latch got a little loose but i fixed that with an O ring round the latch handle. And 2 was the blade spine stuck in the handle excessively, but that went away with use and practice.

i bought a bear and son 8 months ago, it is better than most cheap butterflys but it does fall apart. mine fell apart around 2 weeks ago but i do flip a lot. bear and son is the value deal if you start flipping and to see if you like it
