To the people saying sorority life sounds like a cult, that's not what sorority life is at all. Joining a sorority was honestly the greatest decision of my life. Yeah you have rituals and an initiation process, but it brings you together as sisters and makes everyone so much closer. It's truly an amazing experience and I wouldn't change a single thing. I LOVE all of my sisters to death and I really do encourage you all to join a sorority because it's such a wonderful experience.

I don't know if this is what her tattoo is, but if her tattoo has anything to do with her sorority's ritual, she cannot tell you what it means. I'm a Kappa Delta myself, and we have a phrase in our sorority that is part of our ritual that other people aren't aloud to know. When you're initiated you're sworn to secrecy.

Like I said, I don't know if her tattoo has anything to do with her sorority, but if it does, that's why she can't tell you, and she's not being "mean" about it.

I never joined a Fraternity. I think initiations are stupid and sometimes cruel. And just because you are a member of a fraternity or a sorority that doesn't make you better than anyone else. I'm a sister of Sigma Delta Tau, which was founded by seven Jewish women.
