@cello06 I'm sure he knows Pearl Harbor was at the end of 1941, but he was mentioning it in reference to his family being sent off to concentration camps in 1942.
Seeing Doohan like that brings a tear to my eye, no longer being that lively man who would sing and entertain fans at so many conventions. It's a shame he was stricken with so many illnesses through his life. I wish I could have met him. He inspired me to take up Engineering as a profession.
RIP James Doohan, Deforest Kelly, Gene Roddenberry and Majel Barret.
He was at one time. I don't know if he still is. There are a lot of outtakes of Spock with a cigarette. Oddly, it doesn't look jarring on him. It almost looks like the character was meant to do that. Somehow, it fits. We always knew Spock had an edge.
Excellent docu, although I notice it overlooks the animated series which featured all of the original core cast except Walter Koenig(although he did write one episode), and which broadcast in the mid-1970s.
To see James Doohan so frail was also quite heart breaking actually. RIP....
Doohan didn't slow down with old age. The documentary mentioned he had a child when he was 80. He was actually married to his third wife when she was 17 and he was 54. Jimmy knew how to live!
At least he died peacefully. He always seemed such a gentle and loving man and i read how the things he would say to fans would always mean a lot to them. He is a very strong role model.
haha, yeah, that's the one! joan was really nice in that ep,from the first series!..hey star trek (tos) is great! lets just not go outside in the street dressed as klingons! i think we'll do fine! heehee peace:)
captain kirk and spock may be in it. That remains to be scene however, I doubt Shatner will be in it. Though that would be grand if he at least narrated the ending. :)
very enjoyable and its great to see the cast reflection on the past, shatner is a real hoot especially during the piece when he found out they all hated him. LOL! danny crane!
Yes, it looks like a frida Khalo. Wow

Its touching to see Shatner talk about Deforest, and how he chokes up a bit near the end.

wonderful, I have seen or met most of the original cast, except for Deforest Kelly.

R.I.P. Mr. Kelley, Mr. Doohan, Mr. Roddenberry, and Mrs. Barret-Roddenberry.
You know, they're really not dead...at least, not as long as we remember them.

That was so stupid to father a child at 80. He had to have known he wasn't going to be there for him for long. Totally irresponsible!

LUV Takei's voice.
Shatner is pretty funny. It is just the way he says things.
I just thought Nimoy was a smoker. Did he quit? Did he smoke at all? His voice in the new movie sounded a lot better than in the older movies...
Doohan was a great character. It is too bad he had Alzheimer's.
WAIT. Kelley is dead?! Man. Rest in peace. Same to you, Doohan.
Thanks for the vid.

Oh my. Doohnan looks so terrible ill in this.
and sounds very ill too. I feel all sorry for him, do any one know what he suffered?
He must have suffered something, he was chuppy in all of the trek movies, and here he is so skinny and sounds terrible.

MoonPhantom: "...do any one know what (James Doohan) suffered?"
Alzheimer's. He was 85 though, and fathered a child at 80. That's a pretty good run.

lol either he's a VERY talented guy ( got it up at 80) or he knew what viagra was =D
