  • HAHAHA 4:00 !!!

  • classic .... bowling en francais lol

  • Lol we all got 2 see first hand how ignorant some Quebecers are.

  • please check out my channel for habs videos im really tryin to get it going

  • Great video. This kind of seperatist bullshit sickens me. When the language police came to town i knew to get the hell out of Quebec

  • Im quebecer and i am seriously embarassed by this. Its all about the freaking butthurt separatists. I mean common its profesionnal sport, not your nephew's Pee-wee team.

  • really these whiners r still complaining about this. get over it you losers.

  • its a small minded complex thing that at no matter what cost the coach has to be french.its losers like the past provincial governments and their racist leaders who implemented this frnech only attitude.. they would rather have the canadiens in last place then an english coach guiding the team to a cup... mario beaulieu wants to remove english from being taught in grade 6 . instead of thinking thats this might benefit kids for the future with jobs his brainwashed mind is saying no

  • i think that they are over reacting, who freaking cares thatt the coach can't speak french, i guarante that if randy cunneyworth was to help montreal win a stanley cup then they would think he was the best coach ever, people are just mad that the are not doing well this year, and want to blame somebody, sad that randy could lose the job over something as dumb as this.

  • @ebman3

no the hardcore separatists would not cheer a stanley cup regardless

take in point racist #1 mario beaulieu president of mouvement francais .. he wants to remove english from being taught in grade 6.......

  • @billymenexis i still don't get what the big deal is, It is discrimination against cunneyworth, just because he doesn't speak french doesn't mean he isnt a good coach and yes i guarantee they would like him if he won a cup with mtl, can they not accept that quebec is a biolingual province?

  • Anyone with an accent that atrocious in both languages is hardly in a position to lampoon a national discussion about language. I kid, I kid - Good delivery, good energy, good edit and pace. But, it's a sorry excuse for a subject you are in no position to comment on. Also, look at any Daily show segment that isn't dealing with elected officials: the correspondents mandate is always to get both sides to make sure it remains parody and not 'mockery'.

  • @howler77 fair points; bare in mind that this whole protest was promoted by Quebecor's French media outlet, 'Le Journal de Montreal' along with the whole 'Boycott Molson' movement, so why can't us bilingual accepting non-seperatist Quebecois provide a different angle? It's freedom of speech, a right we still have. I will consider your points about equality to both sides as I write my film documenting this kind of subject, I have strong opinions/experiences of this as I am a hybrid Quebecois...

  • @jubu2324 fyi - my favourite shot is at 4:25, despite the lame joke, there were protestors there with a different agenda... This comment does not target nor represent all the protestors that were there. However, sarcasm was possibly intended when writing that previous line.

  • The problem is not the coach the problem is that we own this team since is glorious days of guy lafleur, maurice rocket richard, boom boom geofrion, patrick roy, claude lemieux, guy carbonneault, vincent damphouse, jacques demers... We french CANADIENS diserve respect of having a bilingual coach for the team that we are supporting since now 100

  • So you guyz think we dont speak english ? You guyz start pissing me off you dont even speak french ! That is a problem old of 300 years old and we are home from 400 years old now if we say that we want a french coach to stop barking on him so we dont bitch on him at every lose we get and god knows how many we are getting this year !

  • im a french Canadian who live in Montreal and im proud to be in a bilingual city like MTL. It was only a few hundreds of bastard separatist.. Hopefully, the PQ gonna disappear soon and anglophone and francophone will work together to a better Canada!

  • Does anybody here watch RDS? It's a fine sports network, and many of their hockey analysts are francophone coaches the Habs have fired.

  • Comment removed

  • I think what these Quebecois forget is that we are also Canadians and Canadians are allowed to speak english as an official language and discriminating against english speaking people goes against our rights. If we have to speak French, Quebecois should have to learn english

  • @killahju Oh I forgot to add, every single one of our schools are english too lol. I wonder how we can do that huh? How we can have every single thing, person, business, TV station, Radio station, school, sign, all in english? Yet we are 15 minutes from Downtown Montreal...How can we possibly do that? How can we possibly be so powerful in such a french obsessed province? ;)

  • @55mudhole Same where I live, just about. Discrimination against anglos may exist in some parts of the province, but for the most part, we have no problems. The media exaggerates a lot...

  • @killahju How does Quebec bring more money to Canada ?! What would Canada lose if it Lost quebec? lol

  • @55mudhole

Good question. Why is it so keen on keeping Québec if there is no loss?

  • @killahju I live here...because we were here before it was a french quebec. My town has been here before it all. My town is completely english. English stores, English US channels lol, English signs, English restaurants, Every single person living in this town of 10,000 people, Speak english. We will not leave. As this is ours.

  • canada wants quebec...... but past QUEBEC politicians have tried to ruin that

anglophones love the french language... past politicians have tried to stop french people from loving the english language.............

past politicians like rene levesque.. parizeau..and soomn to be pauline marois. dont complain when they receive a canadian pension .. the same country they want to break up from..

  • @billymenexis

"past politicians like rene levesque.. parizeau..and soomn to be pauline marois. dont complain when they receive a canadian pension"

The Québécois pay taxes and are just as entitled to returns than other Canadians. That does not mean by any stretch that they should feel indebted to it. If Québec were a country, they'd simply pay similar amounts to another government.

  • Nothing wrong with wanting to preserve your language, but give it up, guys. It's an english world, and the internet is making it more so. Young francophones know this. That's why so many of them are federalists.

  • like i said u see a perfect example in jacques parizeau and bernard landry (not sure about lucien bouchard) these guys are probably retired... they hate canada and everything it stands for they were dying to separate from quebec

yet they sitll CASH in their CANADA pension they receive being retired .. bunch of assholes....

u dont like canada give your pension back.. simple no?

  • Many of you don't even realize that the interviewer is a Quebecer himself.I've grown tired and frustrated of these over generalizations and misinterpretations of what people assume is a homogenous city,Montreal for the most part is a very bilingual city with a strong english speaking minority popuation.

  • the pq along with rene levesque parizeau marois etc are nothing more then racists.

remember in 95 with the referendum who did parizeau blame for the defeat of the yes side? the ethnics.. if thats not racism i dont know what is

  • Wow i live in montreal and nobody speaks french i dont know why those shitty people are doing this they really have nothing else to do and by the way nobody cares of what you people are doing

  • STUPID QUEBECERS!

    3:13

    4:05

    4:52

    5:01

    5:27

  • "You're angry that French is not everywhere? It's not raining from the sky." LMAO.

And the guy talking about the Bell Center not playing French Music, there's like 4 French songs in the world, and 'Frére Jaques' is one of them!

  • This is Hilarious! It shows just how fkn STUPID Quebecers are! They have nothing better to do then complain about an English coach! Everything in this city is French and they still aren'y happy. But honestly all the people protesting are complete IDIOTS! They don't understand Hockey, and they have nothing better to do with their lives so they go protest infront of the Bell Center and get drunk.

  • i am crYING

  • No free agents will ever sign in Montreal again, especially French ones

  • LOL thank you for pointing out how ass backwards these blasfimous PQ bastards are! Seriously we should all take a moment in our day to thank Rener Levesque for scaring away the wealth from Quebec... OH and setting us back a hundred years with the language barrier! What's next segregation, english n french bathrooms this is fuckin ridiculous, geez i forgot that not even 30% of the fucking Team is from Quebec, and all team affaires are done in english, french coach or not!

  • @Qcshredphil3 right! lol

  • Funny video about that whole thing and how important it is : youtube.com/watch?v=bBkv9u3NGoA

  • first the canadiens hire an anglo as a coach now the journal de montreal is printijng ads otally in english.. LMAO EVEN THEY DONT CARE ABOUT FRENCH

  • @billymenexis nobody even cares lol just a handful of racist idiots, who cant tell their ass form their elbow lol

  • @55mudhole

i went to tim hortons today.. and mcdonalds yesterday..not 1 english sign promoting their products.. i dont care but how will the tourists who cant speak french understand ? will these racists protest on my behalf that they need to promote in eglish ?

  • @billymenexis I know! My town is completely english, we are 15 minutes from the bell center. My town is seperate from quebec so we have it all english here....But Montreal/quebec cries they want tourists...how the %&#$ are tourists going to even get here when they dont understand the traffic signs?! Road signs?! Exit signs!? Let alone be treated rudely and like shit because they cant understand...Cant eat at resturants cause everythings in french lol...

  • @55mudhole Seperated from Quebec LOL ???!?!? please tell me, what town is this in which you live? Typical west islander, get off your high horse!

  • @bklonb Yes...we are not part of quebec. We go under Canadian Government. Yet live 15 minutes from downtown Montreal...We Speak english. All 10,000 of us in my town. Every single sign is English, Every single school is english. Every single store, restaurant, business, is english. And how can we do that?! Cause we are not part of quebec...Guess u know it all huh, u think im from West Island? lol...Wrong buddy.

  • @55mudhole Do you live in kahnawake?

  • @bklonb Yes

  • @55mudhole I think you need to go back to school or read a book on the history of Khanawake... That village is taking it's sources from an old french Jesuit mission (Sault-st-louis). This land had been given to you guys because your tribe (witch comes 500km south of your actual location) was in conflict with some tribas because of their christian believes and they feared for their survival. Plus, khanawake's early habitants used to speek french

  • @MrNecrose123 Have you ever wandred why they are so many french last names in Khanawakw? (Delisle, Lahache, Loiselle, etc) Khanawake's residants only choosed to speak english after the english conquest (funny, they chose the language of the masters...). So stop bugging us about you being there first....

  • @billymenexis And the people working in these resturants, dont understand english either! I speak english everywhere I go...even if I understand what it says...I pretend that i dont. And they get mad, treat me rudely, and they dont understand an english word I say...oh...dont even get me started on the hospitals too...youll die before they can find out whats wrong with you...

  • @billymenexis I had heart surgery almost 2 years ago at the Montreal Heart Institute...they flippen couldnt speak a word of english...I have no idea what they did to me, or how they did it, or what happened...because they couldnt explain it in english. All the pre surgery papers I got explaining what to do and not do before surgery...all in french. After my surgery, it took them 30 MINUTES to understand that I had to go pee...I was CRYING.

  • @billymenexis and when i was cleared to go home from the surgery...the doctor couldnt tell me what to do, what not to do, when i could do this or that...like WTF is what?!

  • @55mudhole

the best is you now have bernie landry and that old hag pauline marois two capital racists against the english pushing for separation AND THEY ARE NOT EVEN IN POWER thats how retarted they are and in landrys cases hes so anti canadian yest has no problems collecting a CANADIAN pensionand that goes for all the people against the english language and who hate canada yet have no problems collecting UI or welfare courtesy of the CANADIAN government,if we separate quebecers will pay badly

  • So fucking pathetic everything is going down in Quebec and they complaint about an english coach.wtf is this shit.

  • @iPhonetique

well said...Montreal is bilingual..lots if immigrants..built this city.im the more languages the better for an individual go habs go

  • Obviously the Canadian Montreal is not accommodating the French clients, seems that the Quebecers should take their business elsewhere and deprive the club of the privilege of serving them.

If the Quebecers had their way with the coach, they would have required the French and once that condition will be met, then the coach last name will be the decisive factor; learning French in Quebec is useless since it’s the first cause of discrimination but the ultimate one is the last name.

  • @hpaulq09 thank you, coming from a half french-canadian nobody expects...

  • @hpaulq09 Do you speak English, cause you can't write it. Do you live in Quebec or in Montreal for that matter? What do you mean the "Canadian Montreal"? Montreal is in the country of Canada, always has been. This is simply discrimination. This English man was hired to coach hockey not translate for those unwilling, unable or unwanting to learn another language. What I love about my Montreal is the diversity. I love the different languages and culture. I wish others felt the same.

  • @kbtlsk8 Well said.

  • @hpaulq09 get the Nordiques back and problem solved.

U MAD BRO !

  • You want to speak French, then speak French. If I don't, I won't. Live and let live.

If Quebecers really wanted me to speak French they would be nice about it; they wouldn't try to ram it down my throat.

But French isn't the issue at all. The ONLY reason French is an issue in Canada is that it's the only way they can EXTORT MONEY from the rest of us. They need a reason and that reason is language.

English is BANNED in Quebec so what's this bullshit about BI-lingualism? It's a LIE.

  • @Brdstfff You are absolutely right!! Majority of the french quebecers does not give a shit about bilinguism! One day this will end!

  • @Brdstfff Lol complete piece of shit from a lazyass who doesn't want to learn the language of the region where he lives, you are not giving any sources all you are saying is shit,i can say the same shit you know, but it is more logic thought: the english minority is EXTORTING MONEY from quebec, they use english to be advantaged, i am talking like you are.

  • @iPhonetique honestly I'd say it is the other way around, most Quebecois hardly know how to speak 2 languages let alone French.... He's right, my grandparents who immigrated here and have not gone to school are able to speak english and french and all this loi 101 shit is complete BS. Stop being so damn ignorant Montreal aint a french town its multi-cultural. This language crap is complete BS.....

  • @MatCilib montreal is a french town dude, built by frenchies, constructed by frenchies and lived by a majority of french people, its like saying Seattle isn't an English town because theres some minoritys there...and for your own culture the english is really important to get the secondary school diplome and they are also trying to make the last year of primary school in english so you can't say Quebec isn't doing efforts.

  • @iPhonetique Why are people talking about "your culture"...english, nor french...is a "culture" lol its a language...you have to have a lot more then just a language to be considered a "culture" ...

All that is being asked is that the coach can speak to the majority of his customers! No need to turn this into a major political issue since that is not it at all. It is a question of respect for your customer base. As any sound company would do.

  • @trahana22 no sound companies hire or have translaters and this is political it always had been

  • @trahana22 The coach able to speak to the majority of his customers? Does he own a store here? He is a coach of a hockey team, that is 90% + english..thats all he has to talk to is the team...he is PAID TO COACH...not to talk to whoever comes along on the streets or whatever...

  • Im from Quebec, and people who are actually protesting about this are FUCKING STUPID.

  • @tropicoffee fuck off

  • Bring back the Nordiques!!

  • wow you fucking people that live in queerbec should shut the fuck up man like there are montreal canadiens fans EVERYWHERE!!!! im a habs fan and i live in ontario and i dont know french so i am happy that there are english stuff so in my mind if you dont like it pick a new FUCKING TEAM!!! GO HABS GO!

  • Jesus I do not even know where to start with these people. Half my cereal box is in a foreign language for this?

  • I know.. bunch of losers.. the pq is going down members are deflecting

  • the fact that people protest for a french coach just shows that english coaches are not welcomed here,by a minority ,, and this also goes for players too. so if Im a player and I see this bullshit i wont come here

  • @billymenexis exactly! why would players want to come here, bring their kids and families here...when they will be forced to learn a language, get lost because all the signs are french...not have proper hospital care because no one can understand them...

  • Hey I don't speak french hahaha! NACHO LIBRE POSTER french version LOL!!!!

  • you have talent, it shows you how dumb french canadians are, this is why all the big corperations moved out, the peppers are only punishing themselves for not to speak english, they cant go very far in business without comunicating in english. the money is in canada not quebec. so we will keep supporting them with our taxes with the walefare system. but its ok because the beer companies are making money, bottom line thank god for the rest of canada, keep growing,

  • it is brutally cold out there.

i love montreal but damn lol

  • SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Funny!

  • I am French, and this protest is stupid. This is not even the way hockey work. You are funny as fuck btw.

  • Comment removed

  • Forgot Jason pominville and Pascal Dupuis.

  • @billymenexis Add other nice 3rd / 4th line players like Deharnais and choose from a variety of goalers and any other non-french canadian that speaks french and you can fill for 2 teams. Anyway nô need for a full team but atleast enough to represent the "flying frenchmen"

  • @billymenexis There's a few french canadiens and quebecers like Claude Giroux , J.Toews, p.Bergeron. Good players Like St.-Louis, Brière, D.Roy, Ribeiro, Parenteau , Beauchemin , Jf Jacques, Robidas, MA Bouchard, D.Perron A Burrows, Latendresse..etc

  • Pointless manifestations like this make me ashamed of being French-Canadian. For any competitive market to prosper you have to hire talent and skill above minor political/social squabbles, as much in this case of a sports team, or even in the case of the Caisse de dépôt.

And for those saying the players don't want to play; let's not forget the question of salary. I don't know many people who would turn down an extra million on their salary, eh?

  • is it possible theres not enough french talent out there>?

the top scorers in the nhl in pts theres no quebecers in there

  • @billymenexis Technically there's enough french players to fill in 2 full teams without the exeption players that speak french like streit and Crosby. Lecavalier has done all his Life there and moving a family is difficult. Brière is an other thing. Still, 93' team was majorly french speaking wich means that it still doable.

  • @Vineon

I agree french players should be on this team.....and coaches too

but what happens theres not enough french talent and coaches on the team do u go with bad french players or bring in english players and coaches?

lecavalier is a great player and yes..he has family etc but he still didnt want to play here neither did daniel briere so how it it the habs fault these 2 talented players dont want to play here but we have protesters wanting french players here?

  • @billymenexis Hockey gives these guys a chance to travel, see the world, live somewhere else...So french players want to play elsewhere...let them. Let them travel, raise family in better places. Who really wants to stay home when they have the choice to be somewhere else? If someone offered me to go live in Texas, or Florida, anywhere but Quebec, Id take it.

  • well done - Osti!

  • proof french players also dont want to come to montreal

    vincent lecavalier WIKIPEDIA

In mid January 2009, rumors were swirling around a possible trade which would send Lecavalier to the Montreal Canadiens, his hometown, but Brian Lawton later stated that Lecavalier would rather stay in Tampa Bay for the rest of his career.

Lecavalier confirmed in his own words his preference of playing in Tampa Bay over his native Montreal.

  • Hilarious! There's 2 or 3 players on this damn Team who can speak the language, who gives a flying fk. Is this about Hockey or some damn language fetish these so called fans are in for? You want a french team? maybe you should watch the Bruins instead.

  • @marcustheasshole

the people complaining about lack of french... are not hockey fans but brainwashed losers. even french players dont want to play here (martin st-louis..daniel briere)

and when we had great french players (roy. the best example) and coaches (carbonneau. ) they wnatd them out,, mario tremblay a pure frenchman chased patrick roy (francophone) out of town.....

  • @billymenexis You are a fucking ignorant. You know nothing abot hockey. Bob Gainey... a good francphone separatisss racist I presume???

  • @mtl4ever100

u are not a hockey fan of the montreal canadiens.. instead of hoping randy turns the team around .. you use your brainwashed complex language issue that the coach should no french.. the team comes first my racist friend.. not your stupid ideas

now u asked for french teams coached by non french. I showed it to you.. who looks stupid now?YOU youre clueless point final

and if I am a racist how come I have no problem with a french coach but u do with an english coach?

  • @billymenexis Oh, finally u hange your mind fucking racist!

  • @mtl4ever100

racist I never said i was against a french coach....the 5 last 5 didnt bring us the cup...so theres also nothing wrong with hiring an englishman. but of course your racist self cant accept that.. you see foreign coaches coaching teams is nothign new retard....it happens in soccer in france.. u didnt no that and act all stupid and wanting proof which i gave u to make u look stupid... i dont care if u insult the greeks by the way... you racist welfare case....

  • Comment removed

daniel briere: He later cited the prospect of anonymity in Philadelphia as opposed to Montreal as an additional factor in his decision.[9] Because of this, he is often booed by Montreal fans when the Flyers visit the Bell Centre.

  • @billymenexis

I do not not the St-Louis story but one player hardly means French players do not want to play in Montréal.

I am definitely a hockey fan and having a French presence in the team is something very important to me. I don't remember the French press ever trying to get Carbonneau's head.

  • @marcustheasshole lolll...i agree! i was at the game sunday in montreal...the scoreboard has english on it! blow it up! the "before game" videos has the canadiens players SPEAKING IN ENGLISH...oh my god! lets kick them out!

  • Bilingual...unilingual....english....french....doesn't matter. The Habs are toast in any language.

  • its funny even thought i prefer french

  • listen to the french guy: the coach speaks not 1 word of french.. I have heard cunneyworht say merci beaucoup... thats 2 right there... he cant read or count.. LMAO

  • I love how he says there is no french in the bell center.. look there it says entre billetterie....

abdul didnt ridicule the french here. the french did it themselves..or maybe the brainwashed frenchie cant read who knows...........

  • @billymenexis when you get in a moscee or any others religious establishment who comes from outside, the informations in that establishment are written in english, but it doesn't change the fact that the staff or the people will talk to you whit another language

  • @duplux that has to be the stupidest thing not to mention the most ignorant thing I have ever heard lol.

  • these separatists are so small minded.. if you drive to ontario.. there are french signs everywhere on the highways....they welcome the french language.. drive on highways in quebec not 1 english sign.. why? cause the racists that ran this province and bill 101 wanted no french...and then we ask why toronto has more jobs.. the only city in canada with 1 basket and baseball team....I love living in the province but these separatists damaged this province more then helped it with bill 101 retards

  • @billymenexis WOW!!!

  • @mtl4ever100

and again.,. youre the racist buddy..I want a coach that can win gfames for my team french greek english..I think randy cunneyworth is a great coach.. but you donht want him because he doesnt speak french.. your complex racist mind is scared the english will take over. youre a racist tu est un raciste point final. but if u r so scared french is going down because of an english coach. like i said move to france and watch paris saint germain wait they have an italian

  • @billymenexis For several years now the Quebecois have made it quite clear that they're no longer interested in seperation or referendums or any of that nonsense, but federalists are still scared shitless of them.

It's astounding what a tiny vocal minority can accomplish, eh?

  • @billymenexis

    Autoroute 20 - Highway 20

    Autoroute 640 - Highway 640

Is that so hard to understand? Maybe you didn't realize it yet, mais les chiffres sont les mêmes dans les deux langues.

  • What else is new? The whiny french have another bone to pick...Coincidentally, they make good cheese...Forget about the playoffs this year MTL fans...

  • @albertabeefcowboy84 Said the cowboys. How many wife do you have? are you cousins with all of them?

  • @Djee4Prez

Says the racist french fried froggy. No wife and not cousins with any of them. How many hen houses do you have? Which one do you live in? How many tattoos do you have on your face?

  • THE SKY IS FALLING!

  • Once again the french are separating themselves from everything else, not joining. A hockey coach ...give me a break, find more excuses please...the signs arent big enough lets protest!!

  • what these idiots fail to understand is would a francophone coach want to coach here?

I mean giroux. stlouis. briere dont want to play here why would a coach come?

and the funny part is the last 5french coaches we had have all gotten fired after the french press wanted them out?

  • How come nobody is upset with Pierre Gauthier? He's the man who made the decision to put Mr. Cunnyworth on the bench. So in fact, if you drink Fin Du Monde beer, you are pissing on Quebec because it was a Frenchy who hired this coach who is apparently going to put the final nail in the coffin of Quebec's culture.

  • This is like being racist to a person but in a language so ridiculous

  • the funny part is french people have damaged this team.. mario tremblay chased patrick roy out of town...we have yet to recover from that .....we have had vigneault.julien. martin who failed to win a cup.. and whats funny is the french press pretty much wanted these guys gone ..yet they think its the anglophones the problem hurting this team what retards

  • those 200 demonstrators are not hockey fans but brainwashed morons.instead of the team coming first.... their idead that were set into their complex minds by racist separatists like mario beaulieu.. parizeau landry.........from decades earlier....they have ruibned the prospects of this province and are damaging the name of the montreal canadiens.. stufflike this makes players not want to play here... even daniel briere born quebecer didnt want to play here.. then they wonder y

  • @billymenexis Neither did Giroux and St Louis, to name a couple more. And if St Patrick throws his hat into the ring next season, watch him choose Colorado or someplace else.

As for those protesters, I've got 10 bucks that says not 20 of them have ever been to a game.

  • @babajii321

look at the video the french guy says theres no french in the bell center yea but the sign says entree billetterie the guy looked so stupid and clueless

  • @billymenexis Definately not one of the 20 who's ever seen a game....

  • @billymenexis i was there sunday....french EVERYWHERE! LOL....

  • I would rather have a Chinese coach that doesnt speak english or french bring me a stanley cup than a frenchman who will fail the team. Should the english teams that hire french people protest? Quebecers take pride in their heroes but what the general Quebecers dont realize is that A lot of their sucess comes from the english believing in them.

  • I have a term for them, which amuse me with their incoherent protests. They are PEPSIS, the Quebec word for, well please dont be seen with them in public. French is dying all over the world, Cuneyworth is not the reason.
