Is that Andrew Gold on guitar? Yep, that's Him. He wrote this song for Linda Rondstadt. AG later had a big hit with the Golden Girls theme song, "Thank You For Being A Friend, and minor hit "Lonely Boy." ROCK ON!!!

@John1948EightB Hey, thanks for the correction. That's what I get for putting too much faith in second hand knowledge. For years I thought that Andrew Gold had written this. After a lil research I found the original. I have never heard that version. Being a R&B fan I like that version very much. I like that there is always someone that knows the facts on Youtube.
