Uhm. I have a question... I have a revoltech action figure who has a hand peg (You know a peg that goes into the socet for the arm that can be switched with other hands that have pegs..) Well two of the hands on my figure are too small and I was wondering if this procedure would work the same way for my figure ><
@CloudStrife113 I personally don't own any Revoltechs and I haven't tried this on pegs, but I can't see why it wouldn't work if they're only a bit too small. If you don't switch out the hands a lot you could also just wrap a tiny piece of paper around them. I've had success with that method for things I didn't plan on messing with often.
@jelliexbean1 How do you come to that conclusion? This video demonstrates how to tighten loose joints. There is an erroneous capital in the middle, but I don't think that really negates the validity of my title.
@Unicronsupreme ill stick to paper glue lol (works on HFTD battle blade BB's legs) quick question have you hever tryed gorilla glue on TFs? the doors on my bumblebee keep coming off from super glue will gorilla glue work?
@jelliexbean1 i know what you mean , pinch one end, then grab the other end and shake it using centrifugal force to bring the "stuff" to the pinched end. but you probably already knew that.
so to tighten the joints i put nail polish on my TF's ball joint and wait for it to dry completely then i attatch it back on but do i have to do some maintanence on it ????Like i have to regularely apply it on the joint????
I hate it when i buy a TF toy and this happens why can't they all have tight joints
That's basically the gist of it. If you're playing with your figures then you will need to re-apply this fix regularly but if you're just displaying them then once should be good. Super glue will do the same thing as this but more permanently but it can dissolve some plastics so it's more risky.
Thanks man ok another thing is this i don't play with my TF's but i just transform them from time to time and just put them on my desk so the nail polish can tighten it but it won't wear of that fast right????
I think your mileage will probably vary. It's going to depend a lot on the type of joint and how much it's involved in the transformation. I suggest you just try it and see how it works for ya.
That's probably because I try to be really accurate with my tagging. That being said, a lot of people have trouble with this figure and I hope this helps. This solution does need to be re-done occasionally if you're playing with the figure and not just displaying it.
true, but it's a huge pain to remove and if you get some accidentally in the wrong spot you can ruin a figure permanently. Clear nail polish is just less risky.
hey, no prob. glad I can help. Just make sure that it has PLENTY of time to dry, or it will get sticky. The fix CAN wear off eventually, but it is easy enough to re-do.
cool video, Will need to remver this when I am trying to describe how to do this to someone.
The superglue... I cant think of anythign to take it off well, maybe nail polish remover. by now though your outer lair of skin has probably died and the glue is flaking off naturealy:) What I hate is when you glue a finger to itself or another finger... hurts like hell seperatign it if you dont catch it fast enough... like inside a second or two.
the super glue came off the next day and luckily I ran my fingers under some cold water within a few seconds, which hardened all the glue and I didn't get anything stuck.
No matter where you put it though, do a good search first and make sure you don't just make a thread where there's already one about this sort of stuff. If you can, possibly add it to an existing one
I've made a couple of comments. I'll probably post more later when I have questions about things that I can't answer on my own with a little research.
really helpful.. thx :D :D

@Sixshotreviews2 I'm glad you used this and not super glue on that figure. Super glue melts down his transparent plastic.
Unicronsupreme 1 year ago
hey man thanks for this guide. i experimented a little and figured out super glue is a little better for really lose joints. so thanks man
bong264 1 year ago
@bong264 I think that you're right in most cases. This solution has a couple of advantages over that though:
1) If you botch it big time it's pretty easily removed
2) Clear nail polish won't melt up clear plastic like super glue tends to.
Unicronsupreme 1 year ago
yea i learned that the hard way when i experimented. so i only use this option when i need to

try hot or warm water but a little hotter. not to hot just a tad. i think it works, it's what i did to separate my fingers which were stuck together.

super glue works alot better, dries faster and holds up to the extreme friction way better too.

Only thing I can think of for superglue is lightly scratch it off. It will come off, like regular glue. Just try. Not too much scratching.

This video was posted at the beginning of February. The glue came off the next day.
Unicronsupreme 3 years ago
Y i kind of guessed it came off because I saw when it was posted. I put that for future help.

alright, cool. At the very least transfans with loose joints and sticky fingers can now fix both at the same time.
