Great improvement from the past years. but the music doesn't help highlight the routine. music is what makes the routine. if the music doesn't get the crowd pumped up or is too slow, the routine will seem boring/bland without the right music, even if there is great stunts and skills. They have great skills, great improvement, clean up on stunting, clean up on the routine and they're set.
@bastantemujer02 7-8 teams competed in CAIO the year UP represented the country. i think nanalo ang thailand at japan? di ko maalala.
wish ko na lumaban ang FEU at UP sa CAIO 2011. magaling talaga yung dalawang teams na yun, although yung UC at CCP e pamatay din talaga. magagaling na ang squads natin dito sa pinas. :-)

Funny to know the number of people trying to put down UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe. SDT is a dance troupe, not a pep squad. they are a variety of talented performers who can present wide range of dances. to think that Salinggawi still dominates the title count for UAAP cheerdance, well SDT must be really something. you jealous people cant mess with the name of SDT itself, you would have to do more than that to bring down the tigers - who actually dominates the entire UAAP for the past decade. :p

UP are already icon of cheersquads in philippines. they inspire every universities and colleges in the philippines to excel in this kind of field. and it's also good na they are the green thumbs of many brilliant cheersquads in the philippines. thnx UP for bringing out the passion, and made this as contagious as a disease that plagued the hearts of true cheerleaders.

I prefer UP and FEU na lumaban sa asian cheerleading kaysa sa ibang school na masyadong mataas ang tingin sa sarili nila. Iba pa rin pag nasa UAAP sikat at magaling.
Hay naku high standard pa rin ang mga taga UAAP kaya yung mga naninira sa UP, mga insecure lang kayo dahil hindi kayo napapansin at hindi kayo ang pinili para lumaban sa asian cheerleading. Hindi kasi kayo kilala yun lang yun.
bkt UP ang pinili di b bnigyan ng chance yung ibang team? which might be better to UP?..i think dpt my fair judgement... sana man lng nagpa contest cla noh...para atleast wala masabi yung ibang team at di magselosan at mag awayan... tsk tsk

I'm a UP PEP fan too, pero i find your comments too arrogant...IMHO, comparing UP and Perps is not degrading at all...basically, comparisons are made to differentiate and find common factor/s between two entities, as long as it remains objective, walang masama sa comparison...to add more information, yes natalo na ng Perps ang UP PEP, it was during the Flying V-Oil Cheering Competition held at San Juan Gym, I believe team B ng UP ang ginamit, and it was a friendly compet.
CFP (Cheerleading Federation of the Philippines) ang nag-invite sa UP PEP para mag compete sa CAIO held in Japan, No need for a competiton, merong selection process na ginagawa ang board para piliin ang representative ng Pilipinas...don't worry, last time I heard from them, since nag 3rd place (International Category) at Champion (Regulation Category) ang UP PEP sa CAIO, they will give chance naman na mag compete ang ibang squad...

UP Pep Squad ang team na nagpeperform ng routines which are even hard for them to surpass everytime na may malaking compet. kaya often times nagkakamali sila.iyong techniques nila pag compet malayong mas mahirap kesa sa pang halftime nla. iyong mga techniques nman n ginagamit nila panghalftime e pangcompet nman ng iba. That's UP pep, risk taker yan kaya ngtake risk na rin siguro ang CPF para makapasok ang pinas.

nakulangan lang sa preparation siguro ang UP. siguro if given an ample time, mas maganda at malinis siguro ang maiprepresent nila. UP are already icon of cheersquads in philippines. they inspire every universities and colleges in the philippines to excel in this kind of field. and it's also good na they are the green thumbs of many brilliant cheersquads in the philippines. thnx UP for bringing out the passion, and made this as contagious as a disease that plagued the hearts of true cheerleaders.

I prefer UP and FEU na lumaban sa asian cheerleading kaysa sa ibang school na masyadong mataas ang tingin sa sarili nila. Iba pa rin pag nasa UAAP sikat at magaling.

Hay naku high standard pa rin ang mga taga UAAP kaya yung mga naninira sa UP, mga insecure lang kayo dahil hindi kayo napapansin at hindi kayo ang pinili para lumaban sa asian cheerleading. Hindi kasi kayo kilala yun lang yun.

I think UP was the best team to represent the country during CAIO 2009
kasi pag ibang team di nila kaya ang single base toss to hand na mounting. in terms of tosses during this time UP lang ang may multiple flyers na marunong ng Xout full.
tsaka XU and Perps' stunts are way easier than UP's...

kailan ba natalo ng Perps ang UP??? Nung nagchamp ang UP sa first season ng NCC wala nman binuga Perps nun. Ngyng ngchampion ang Perps sa NCC nandun ba UP?? Nakakadegrade naman sa UP para icompare cla sa Perps. Perps is even no where at par with UST Salinggawi or even FEU.
and please. Perps mgdadala ng pangalan ng Pilipinas? No way!
Yng Perps NCAA lng while UP competes in UAAP. Npanood mo na ba NCAA cheerdance tska UAAP cheerdance? laki ng difference ng level of difficulty pati creativity.

I'm a UP PEP fan too, pero i find your comments too arrogant...IMHO, comparing UP and Perps is not degrading at all...basically, comparisons are made to differentiate and find common factor/s between two entities, as long as it remains objective, walang masama sa comparison...to add more information, yes natalo na ng Perps ang UP PEP, it was during the Flying V-Oil Cheering Competition held at San Juan Gym, I believe team B ng UP ang ginamit, and it was a friendly compet.

CFP (Cheerleading Federation of the Philippines) ang nag-invite sa UP PEP para mag compete sa CAIO held in Japan, No need for a competiton, merong selection process na ginagawa ang board para piliin ang representative ng Pilipinas...don't worry, last time I heard from them, since nag 3rd place (International Category) at Champion (Regulation Category) ang UP PEP sa CAIO, they will give chance naman na mag compete ang ibang squad...

UP Pep Squad ang team na nagpeperform ng routines which are even hard for them to surpass everytime na may malaking compet. kaya often times nagkakamali sila.iyong techniques nila pag compet malayong mas mahirap kesa sa pang halftime nla. iyong mga techniques nman n ginagamit nila panghalftime e pangcompet nman ng iba. That's UP pep, risk taker yan kaya ngtake risk na rin siguro ang CPF para makapasok ang pinas.

@ProdigyOfZack: alam mo ang mga cheerdance performances, ke may mali ke wala, kung ano ang tingin ng mga tao na maganda, un ung maganda. im not saying na pagit ung sa up this year, its just that their routine last year was better this year ( ayan ha, kahit maraming mali last year, still i applauded for up, kasi nga maganda sya tignan, but this doesn't prejudice my loyalty to feu).
FEU's victory is not about the issue on the originality of many things, it is about the teams harmonized moves.

@ ProdigyOfZack: if you think FEU copied themes from other schools, you are utterly wrong. The "Fire" concept was incalcated in last year's routine because FEU is hungry for victory, because they have only been getting the 2nd runner up awards. this is to show their burning eagerness to be the triumphant.
if you think FEU "RECYCLED" any move, SHAME ON YOU! hndi namin kinailangan gawin yon to win. hndi tulad ng uste na pinagpipilitan atang gawing trademark ang paulit2 nilang pyramid.

@ProdigyOfZack: so ibig mong sabihin, pag may gumawa nito o ganyan this year, pag may gumwa na non next year, gaya2 na? so nung may nagsplit, next year may ibang team na may nagsplit, gaya2 na? ganun ba yon?
alam mo through the years hindi maiiwasan ang kumuha ng ibang steps, not of course primarily form the school who first did it, it is because the teams have this urgent need to keep up with the tides, ok? :)

@ProdigyOfZacK: nahiya naman kami sa yo. kasi iba ang judges this year di ba? mag isip2 ka naman. :) dati kasi kung sino2 kaya ganun ang mga naglabasang results. may mga year dati na dapat feu naman talaga ang nanalo. naoverwhelm lang ang judges sa mga kung anong meron sa taon na yon
AND. hindi naman kasi universal ang theme ng up ngayon. hindi naintindihan nung judge from japan ung activist theme nila kaya malamang dun din sila natalo ok?

Ang theme ng UP ay 'Buhay UP'. From studying til graduation. We expressed the life we have in UP, which does not SOLELY revolve around activism. :)

@ProdigyOfZack: alam mo natatawa ako sa mga reply mo. lalo na dun sa mga themes na "ginaya" ng FEU. kasi halatang pinag konek konek mo lang para lang mapalabas na mangagaya kami.
HEEEEELLLO!! kabisado ko ang costume ng ust, at wala kahit sa costume o sa routine ang may hawig sa happy feet.
coastume: tiger yun para sa kaalaman mo. itry mo kasing pagaralan kung anong hayop yun. nakakita ka lang ng puti sa upper part para sayo penguin na. hahahaha!!!
routine: walang moves sa happy feet

Punta ka sa Wiki ng UST Salinggawi. Tignan mo yung '10.Inspired costume'.
Ano nakasabi sa 2006? HAPPY FEET ata eh. Kahit tignan mo pa yung history ng wiki niyan, nandyan na ang HAPPY FEET ever since. :)
