  • Most Asian restaurants do apply msg.. Its the amount that matter.. For eg. some apply it 4 sp of MSG out of 5 sp of salts and that's really not good.. Better way of reduce of it's intake is 1 out of 5.. It's good enough to make your food tasty.. In my opinion, better replace it with Chicken stocks instead of MSG.. Take care guys..

  • Very cool and informative interview. Thumbs up. :D

  • mmmmmmmmmm GOOD, MSG!

  • Yeast is actually Saccharomyces cerevisiae, would you eat it if the name was SC? MSG is a fermented extract. You know what else uses fermentation? High-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), yep that's in everything. What people probably experience is bad cooking and bad cooks and conveniently blame it on something exotic.

  • i've been eating MSG all my life and so does my mom and my grandma. So if it's that toxic or dangerous, i think we should be all dead by now. So yea, as long as you keep track of the intake amount, you should be all right.

  • @arelak: There are commercially available forms of msg which yes are "industrial chemicals", the same as iodized table salt and bleached white flour are. Commercial MSG is an amino acid which comes from hydrolyzed wheat gluten. It is not dangerous any more than, say, butter or salt, meaning in moderate amounts it is no probrem.

  • Well he got the last part wrong: MSG is dangerous, what you see put in foods is actually an industrial chemical and is non-naturally occurring. Also many countries in europe have banned it.

  • @Arelak Msg is only dangerous if you are either allergic or if you used in high doses. there are symptoms. Msg is everywhere. It's very hard to avoid and you probably ate it without even knowing. It's in instant ramen noodles, almost every bag of chips, canned soups, and fast food everywhere uses them without the public even knowing. Mc Donalds, Burger King, etc... Since a lot of things have already contain msg, I usually try to avoid using it in my cooking. Also, it's a little like cheating.

  • @GetDamage MSG is toxic and dangerous, also the fact that they put it under MANY, MANY names such as anatylized yeast and now guar gum has it mixed in... I keep track of what they add that garbage too and do my own cooking, also cooking at home is by far cheaper than eating out and it takes care of more than one meal thanks to leftovers.

Anything that fucks your brain up into thinking horse shit tastes good should not be used.

  • @Arelak you do cooking at home? msg is used in alot of canned goods, home made food even canned or jarred to preserve it. This video is right, moderation.. alt is mainly bad for us out of moderation and is maily in msg.... if u ate fruits all ur life ur teeth are pron wearing down from the acids... you cannot judge msg on reports done from ppl using, mainly out of moderation..

  • @draconite420 I make my own food from produce, fresh meats that is not injected with msg. I do not use any canned food that use msg. I have 0 MSG in my body since I avoid anything with it in it since it is an exitotoxin that fucks (literally) up your brain chemistry.

MSG = corporate solution to getting people to eat ground up dog, cat and rat as hamburger.

  • @Arelak Really? i highly doubt that, i belive it was created to be used as a preservative... at the very elat make you a bit more full on much smaller meal

  • @draconite420 MSG is no preservative, never has been. Also it has nothing to do with being full, it makes you MORE hungry, it causes hunger and the desire to eat more than you actually need.

MSG = dog, rat and cat meat "flavor enhancer."

  • @Arelak mcdonalds is dangerous, cigarettes are dangerous, alcohol is dangerous, cars are dangerous, fried foods are dangerous, sugar is dangerous, salt is dangerous.

  • Very interesting and informative!! Thx for the post.
