@jrpower5 I dont get it. This hardware is designed for overclocking. To use it at stock like some loosers on inet is useless. I am always overclocking my parts. Loosers always say it will be a problems - no problems. I found out those loosers never overclocked before - how they know it will be problems? This is a big question.

@jrpower5 I do disagree. You should overclock from the start of intstall or on the second day after verifing everything is stable.. That is how I do. Overclock cpu will less you for 7 years at least so dont be pussy about it. I know there are pussy on the web will advice you opposite, but they are never overclock there system or overclock it by 200-300 mhz maximum. It is shame to have overclocking gear and not overclocking. Next time buy intel board for pussies.

I have asked this before but no real answer I play command & conquer 3 and it's not real demanding but I am planning to get 30 inch 2560x1600 monitor The frames drop when I play against 7 teams even on low res so with so many units at 2560x1600 which 580 1.5 or 3gb should I get or would even a 6970 work I got 1000 watt PSU so croos or SLI isn't a problem but for 1 580 3gb for 70 bucks more I could get 2 6970 or should I go one 580 now and SLI later

maybe it's just me but I wouldn't have upgraded the CPU's primarily if he's planing on getting the X79 SR3 motherboard with sata 6gb USB3 and they run the new 2011 socket 6 cores not sure about the CPU's but the X79 boards come out the 14th of this month at least that's what I read from Intel still an amazing build it's a work of art it may cost as much as a car but if you can afforded go for it that's a system that could be called Bulldozer lol I wait on AMD such a let down now on to Intel

5690 and 5680 are the same price for me so the choice was obvious. Whether they clock better or not depends on your batch and luck too! I had quite a few 980s clock just as good and a few better than 990s so YMMV always.
