I always thought that there should be other kind of house robot system( this robots rule I'm not saying anything), like those who win a chiampionship may challenge one of the house robots for its place in the arena. If razer said, that he wants to battle matilda or shunt and he wins the battle 1x1 (only KO) he can take that house robots place in the arena. That what i allways wished for. Could you imagine winners fighting killalot or psycho...

i hate the way razer and hypno disc were told they werent allowed to do too much internal damage to robots

As you can see razer would have won that very quickly if it was allowed to have crushed down fully near the wheel not just rip the armour slightly

@LaveaFirmis I don't think it's a case of the roboteers being told they couldn't cause major internal damage - so many times Hypno Disc has torn apart robots and smashed their insides out! I think it's out of respect. if I had a robot, I'd cause lots of damage if I could but my conscience would hold me back - if my robot was completely destroyed which I'd spent ages building and loads of money on, I'd be slightly pissed, even though I knew what to expect.

@henaz999 no i watched an interview with I think it was one of razer that said it and when I met the Hypno-Disc team (i think it was them i met 3 teams) they confirmed that most high damaging robots are told to only try and damage armour not internal parts due to expense and such the only time they could was when it was staged or when the owner didn't mind

or when it happened by accident

razer got moaned at by some teams for doing too much damage but they kept it quiet cus its unsporting

@henaz999 I watched an interview with I think it was 1 of razer and then it was confirmed by the Hypno Disc team when I met them that high damaging robots are told only to do damage to armour and try to avoid doing internal damage unless the owner is cool with it, or if its by accident or staged. If you watch nearly every fight razer is in he could cut straight through the robot and he doesn't, it barely goes into the armour before he pulls out

@henaz999 I'm having flash backs of splinter vs hypnodisk....oh that was nasty. Thing is though they where pretty obvious designs, giant spinning disk? I would have thought that would have been the most obvious and low tech design. So its a really sign of skill how the roboteers managed to pilot those things.

Your right it is a show of respect to not completely destroy a competitors robot. I am a 7 year competitor out of Canada fighting in North American competitions. The reality is we all know what it takes to build a bot and always help each other in the pits. Its a community and we support each other. I can't count the times I've shared parts with other competitors or helped/had help rebuilding robots during events. Sometimes during fight the loser will encourage destruction for the fun

@LaveaFirmis Not sure where you got your information from. We were allowed to damage as much as we liked - we just chose not to as we knew how much expense and work went into the machines we fought. We gave it full whack with the beak on S3, but their armour was good enough to stop us going in too deep. Vinny.

but I have read it in several places and seen in interviews people saying they were told to back off or not to go for some of the more expensive parts of a machine

and it does look in some places that razer is holding off when it seems to go straight through other times

Ziggo was a lightweight. Razer against a decent heavyweight spinner would be hard to call - Basically if Razer can get in once it wins - it would have to survive the first impact though.

@kagaminetim I'd like to see that. I know there's a lot of love for Biohazard (was it a regular champion? I've only seen fights, I don't know season winners), but I think Razer would take no time over that (could be wrong, just looks like it would), and flippers aren't so much fun to watch... but yeah, Son of Whyachi would be a good match.

Still, doesn't have the same kind of style. Hypnodisc did psycho damage, but it just wasn't as sexy, or as surgical. :)

They should bring both shows back.

I predict it'd be just like Pussycat vs Hypnodisc; Razer's got that steering system that lets is drift across the arena; it'd have no trouble out-maneuvering Hypnodisc and avoiding that disc completely.  It'd end it quickly by crushing Hypno's wheels.
