It's hard for me to say which pre-solo I like better. I think the screaming makes a more intense transition to the solo, but I like the contrasting soft singing to intense solo transition as well haha. This song just rocks any way they play it haha

As it stands, I love the original for its raw energy and vocals, and this version for the refined electronic instrumentation.

If they took both of those aspects, and combined them, this song would be pretty much perfect.

I hated the screaming in the first version. It didn't sound as good as it did in this one. He sounds... angrier in this version. Like he went all out with the screaming, instead of just yelping the last syllable in each word in the chorus.

I have to say I like the old one more :(. It just had more emotion in the vocals that aren't as present in this new version. Its still great and different, I just have a pet peeve of bands releasing the same song twice unless it is far better than the original, like "Dare You To Move" by Switchfoot.

I love that the singer is making more annunciation (I didn't have problems with most of their old songs, but Feel Good Drag gave me problems)....but I don't think it was worth the trade off. They sound like they're sight reading or something...they may be playing on the beat but I think it takes away from the way the song was meant to be played. It's got anxious, depressed, angry lyrics and to play it this constrained ruins it for me.

this is good, but the original version on "Never Take Friendship Personal" was so much better, if i were they, i would have kept that version and stuck it on this CD instead of re-recording, IMO "Never Take Friendship Personal" is their best work, now that they're on a major label, success should come easier, i think if they did an album like "Friendship", they would have exploded, this is okay, but it doesn't quite have the magic they need to make waves
