I think his friend used some fishing line to pull the sheet off using a pulley of some sort. Stopmotion or pulley, it is still really simple. No video editing programs were used in the making of this film.

hahahahaha.... you think he lied there then recreated a totally realistic 3D bed cover with perfect shading and lighting, then raised it up, spending weeks to get it perfect, using a program costing 100s when he can get a bit of fishing line, and got his mate off camera to lift up a real blanket using some kind of pulley.... After effects is good but is not that good. Even movies would not use special effects for such a simple thing as lifting a bed sheet!

I did not say he could not afford it. I said fishing line is cheaper! And to create a perfectly generated bed sheet, with perfect lighting and shadows would take ages. Remember "Monsters Inc"? Pixar took months to get sully's hair correct, and you can still tell its CGI and yet you think some one in their bedroom on a pc can create perfect bed clothes with perfect lighting. If he did he would not be posting on Youtube, he would be in the film industry, with a few Oscars on his fire place.
