MR2 Turbo vs CTR

I have a 54 plate CTR myself, and I don't mind when a blatenty faster car overtakes me. Just kinda lame to drive around looking for people to overtake with your camera O.o

The fact of the matter is... I don't drive around with a camera looking to overtake people in slower cars...

This was a friends CTR and we were out for a good Sunday drive on the A and B roads having a bit of a play.

why do all honda owners defend their precious little hondas down to the ground if a honda loses a race theyll say no no the car the honda was racing was tuned put this and that on the CTR and it will blitz it.... look i have beaten type r's in my corsa redtop, almera gti (165.3 bhp proven) my old vectra gsi on the m25 and my mates clio 182, what im getting at is they are so over rated

type r stock mr2 tuned, put hondata ecu+hks intake+ a good exhaust and it will destroy your shitty mr2.

That looks about right to me with a stock rev3 tubby. When rolling in first and second the CTR is quite nippy... as soon as the huge torque from the tubby kicks in it will fly past

mm. is it just me or does he pull out WAY TO FECKIN EARLY. Like the other dude sead i think the ctr backs off. what if he hadent you would of been sitting at the side of him. think that was a little head strong for a 2.0 turbo. but i may be wrong. ive got a 3.0 v6 scimitar, old i kno but fast as feck and i do things like this to bmw x5 and relise that sometimes im not invincible. But fuk it am talkin shite neways, Good job dude keep up the mr2 vids 8¬)

Yeah I suppose I did pull out a little early, but the road was very long and straight so I had a good view.

To be fair to the CTR's they don't have the urge that the MR2 has.

Used to be funny watching EVO & Scooby drivers faces when I left them at the lights - though come the twisties, I was the one not laughing haha!

I would post more vids but sold it for a Skyline GTR... that sadly has now been sold, next project on the horizon! :o)

If I remember correctly, when Toyota launched the MR2 GT Turbo T-Bar (the model I used to own) it was in the region of £30,000 to buy new! Not that cheap really!

I think your way off it was around 20k. The point of the MR2 was cheap and affordable sportscar.

Yes generally but i prefer a CTR over any of those latest generation STI and evo.

Hehe i was being sarcastic! Price has nothing to do with the speed of a car just look at what happened on top gear all the top ££££££££super cars got destroyed by a little £30,000 caterham and the £1,000,000 bugatti veyron got humiliated. Its amazing how much a BADGE costs!!!

Lol. These mr2s are more than capable enough to keep up with EVOs and STIs. Even tho they got like 60-70 less hp lol. Mr2s were detuned for reliability. Good ol toyotas :P
