as someone who raised birds in highschool, Ya Birds can be fat, most are thin and such but some can be fat you shoulda seen this one bird i was feeding and such (Raise from birth basicly) Most birds dont wanna feed at first with you and you have to force it, not this bird he ran after the foodbowl and dove head on into it and started his best to eat the whole thing even the darn bowl he would get so fat he couldnt walk ... I had to fight that bird from NOT eating which is funny to me lol.
