I have always had bettas for years.I have two right now.There in seperate tanks.They do even better in moving water.They live longer.

He is very pretty and unusual, but a larger tank with a heater and filter would suit him more.

Sometimes he looks pyralized...not even a twitch. Guess that's their way of resting...they don't blink....no eyelids!!! He gets so excited after I've been gone for hours and he swims in circles and "waves" at me. I googled Bettas before I got him to learn how to care for him.

Bettas are very interesting fish. They can thrive in a very small bowl. They will stay put for hours but then they will swim real fast when their dander raises.
