@Crockerish I agree that it's seems slow but it's about the same tempo as Rudy Vallee's version. The Jack Payne version really moves fast.... almost twice the tempo of Lombardo.
@bsgs98: Where did such a pristine recording come from? Surely even a brand new and previously unplayed 78 wouldn't sound this good! Are there electronic filters now to clean up the playback?

Lombardo's is also better recorded, and his band's playing is more consistent than Vallee's. Rudy Vallee was the 1290's equivalent to Justin Beiber

@MrGLFan Record condition is the most important factor in getting a good audio transfer. For this record very little filtering was required.
