The individual images were morphed using FantaMorph, a very nice Windows morphing program.

The effects were created using my video editor of choice, Media Studio Pro, by Ulead (This program is, unfortunately, no longer fully supported and updated by the new owners, so I do not recommend getting it.)

This video, I see, is actually an older version; I created a newer one that, somehow, I forgot to upload. That one should be up shortly.
