If ya ask me the way Master Chief relies on external weapons is actually a good thing because if Samus were to lose her armour and her stun pistol she really would be in trouble where as Master Chief can choose from a multitude of weapons and still kick a** with them. All in all I think it would still be an equal battle between the two. The one cool thing I would like to see is both of them working together in one game at least and maybe fight a little. I accept that samus would defeat master chief. I am a massive fan of Halo, but considering the tech advantages samus has (certainly more shield power, infinite plasma ammo, hundreds of missiles, things like screw attack and power bombs, as well as morph ball, ice missiles, more thorough armor, and of course more mobility and speed.) Master chief also has the added disadvantages of reliance on external weaponry and limited storage. Samus is just set up with a more powerful combat system.

not really, both are from very different games, and master chiefs armor isn't even near samus' armor. You say he's a rip-off, but thats only because they are both futuristic, and both wear battle armor, but they are too different for that to be said. Master chief's story is much more in depth than samus', and he fights in much different ways. He can use many more weapons, and many more vehicles. They are basically nothing alike.

Actually, it is perfectly fair to compare. Master chief is a master of all weapons, Samus is only familiar with the few that are built into her armor. Plus, Master Chiefs bones were surgically covered with a hardening substance, making his bones stronger than steel. Master chief was trained hardcore to the point where he almost can't show emotion, even Samus isn't that tough. The chief and samus are approximately the same.
