Dude Your radar detector is useless. By the time your detector finds the radar it is already visible to you and u are too close which means u are in range of the radar.
The new radar catches you from 200m away. You cant beat the new radar because its advanced technology. Those things are really expensive. Just dont speed and respect the rules of the RTA!
@Marianmichael first of all learn how to spell. In Dubai there are so many radars. that radar detectors keep beeping non stop making the detctor useless!
No man, Levelness is key!!!! I test radar detectors and every manufacture says the detector must be 100% Level...It will make a difference. Mount it 100% level this is key for radar detectors
I cannot place it in any other position since my front windshield has a layer which prevents the signal from reaching in !! ..... But next time I pass next to a radar i'll try getting it out of the window and level to check the signal strength again !! .. mine is like 20 or 30 degrees tilted but works fine on old radars ... i catch them 1.6km before !
What type of car do you have! Cause if the radar signal is being "blocked by the windshield" it wouldn't work in your current location...Level out the detector
I drive a BMW which has a protective layer in its windshield. My radar detector works fine on old radars, but on these new (SSS) radars I can't catch them from far distance.. The level of my radar detector is fine cuz it works fine on other radars lol ..
Yeah european sold BMW 3 series have ceramic coated windshields but I still suggest mounting your detector level...But what do I know I have been paid to test radar detectors and laser jammers....Just cause it works fine is not good enough not to listen to advice from an countermeasure tester who has used 90% of the radar detectors on the market
Dude I respect your opinion but the ONLY position in my windshield where it doesn't have the protective layer is above the rear view mirror and how you saw my radar detector is the only way to fix it. I tried several times to fix it horizontally but I just failed. I'm satisfied with the range the detector is giving me..
Isn't it illigal in dubai and how much you got it for and from where ?

That is one of the worst mounted radar detectors I have ever seen, even worse than any Cobra mount. Level it.

Was your detector mounted level? It looked like it was pointing upward somewhat.

Dude I respect your opinion but the ONLY position in my windshield where it doesn't have the protective layer is above the rear view mirror and how you saw my radar detector is the only way to fix it.
