  • great vid

  • macbook pro

  • need a laptop for college/university work mainly and entertainment second, windows or macbook for this?

  • I want to buy on but my parents say they are the same. Yeah, macbooks and the imac don't get viruses because they are GEE like that! Parents are always judging!

  • i love this review! good job!

  • Nice review, thank you. I'm a little perplexed by the structure behind you. What is that?

  • @fortpp1

    Tiled up fireplace.

  • i want 1 :'(

  • I seriously want to buy a macbook pro ,

and i want to play some games, like COD or WoW or something like that.

Can you (anyone) give me some feedback on this, is it good or bad for a little bit of gaming and stuff ;)

    Thanks in advance ! :)

  • @Argonath88t

Someone else will have to chime in on this one. I don't game on my Mac.

    I am a console guy.

  • I got a laptop because my sister's friend's baby sister and 4 year old brother, with a 11 year old boy like pecking on my computer. They don't say hi, just "Can i use your computer?". I tell them. No shit dude!! I don't want mine broken. Sounds mean but they broke my last one. They kept fighting that everything felll!!! >:(

  • hey humckh is a macbook and the pro

  • OMG...so awsome, when i start school next week we get one of theise babies =D

  • Hey biff!

  • which computer size would be better? 13" or 15"

i'm going in the 8th grade and my mom plans on getting me a macbook for christmas and i can't decide which screen size i would like

    can you help?

  • you are the creepeist person ive ever seen

  • @adiofreack

    Thanks!

  • It must be nice to have money! xD

  • @Markrtoonz

I think you meant you must work your ass off and sacrifice a lot to earn a living.

  • I was considering getting a Macbook Pro myself, eventually if I ever get the money. I'm the tech savvy type of guy. I love learning more about computers and I half-left Windows 7 out of curiosity and later out of boredom of doing the same things every day. I'm dualbooting Ubuntu with Windows 7 and I've Loved GNU/Linux ever since, and on my experimental laptop I'm using Arch Linux. What does Mac OS X and the Macbook Pro have to offer to me that Linux and Windows can not?

  • this or an imac for video music and photo edditing??? help im stuck!

  • @TableChip94

Both will work, just depends on how much power you need. The new iMacs are pretty mean machines, but you could say the same about the new MacBook Pros. Tough question.

  • @ReviewGuy1000 i also play games nothing heavy just wow and sims 3 i cant do with oer heating though

  • this is by far one of the best reviews on macbook pro i have ever seen !!! but ive got one question. im new to mac and stuff so can u explain to me what snow lepord is. THXS :)

  • don't fooled, the graphic card you get with the pro for the price is horrendous. My friend had the previous model of this pro and it was junk. It was tapped together and while pictures looked nice, games will most defiantly be on the lowest setting.

  • Thank you!

I'm in the Market for a new Mac.

I had the old 2006 MBP core Duo 15" and is broken now. Due to my careless Wife..lol

Now they have the new 2011, 2.2 Quad Core i7, that i almost buy, till I heard about imac new release coming up this week...

I like the portability, but I don't travel much at all.

Hope the give the anti glare option on the Imac..

    Thank again for your review...

  • This Computer Is Beautyful!

  • I wish the Mac Book Pro was cheaper.... is it really worth it to spend over $1,000 on it?

  • @isaacbsuttle

My advice would be....if you are going to keep this computer for awhile, will you be kicking yourself in two years that you didn't spend the extra up front.

You will never regret improving your lap top. But you will always wonder what if, if you don't get the up grade.

  • you know you can change what type of screen u get when u order, glossy which has looks better but reflects, or anti-glare, which is better for people that dont want that type of interference and for people that need really sharp images

  • you know you can change what type of screen u get when u order, glossy which has looks better but reflects, or anti-glare, which is better for people that dont want that type of interference and for people that need really sharp images

  • Thank you..you're awesome dude

  • wasnt really a proper review.

    how the proccessor and memory

  • @thedavid932

Sorry to disappoint. I thought I spoke a bit about the processor. I was able to edit the video review on the MacBook Pro in real-time. No render delays during edit. My previous MacBook Pro struggled in that regard. As far as memory, try not to regurge stuff you can find on the Apple web site. They cover all specs and have performance charts. I can tell you, you can have a lot of apps open without any slow down. Just reboot after HD rendering.

  • @ReviewGuy1000 thanks for replying. other than that it was an amazing review

  • @ReviewGuy1000 and sorry for criticizing you

  • the edge of macbooks do not hurt, man your pathetic.

  • @gavinjamesaitken1

Sorry I offended you with my opinion. I thank you for not typing in all CAPS, that is the usual approach when one calls another "pathetic'. You are very kind.

  • Since you're so concerned with battery life... maybe you should consider i5... i7 would take up more power... so you'll have to consider if it's really worth having that much processing power.... (Although I could be wrong coz of the power saving features)

  • @wdrpsp19

More power is worth the trade of of less battery life (if that is an actual fact, not sure either), my point was I liked the flexibility with the removable batteries. I thought it was a worth while point to make when comparing the two machines.

  • my 1st computer is this one, the Asus 10.1 inch netbook, upgraded to 2gb , although i just got this one & i'm new to computers but i really want a macbook now. ithe only reason i bought this one was for email access & shopping online & i didn't have enough $ to buy the good stuff macbook is in my wishlist :)

  • You are the best reviewer out there, very fluent, no ums of stops like "kiddfroster" said, you convined me to buy the white Macbook with your amazing review, thank you for taking time to make and record these videos

  • I'm watching this video on a 17-inch MacBook Pro!

    Love it.

  • i have an early 2k8 mbp, and i want to get another 15" but i hate the glass screen and want to get the anti glare model, except its 1080p instead of the old 1440x900. is 1080p too big for a 15" laptop? im afraid because of so many pixels things will look way too small

  • @twizy123 Not sure if this will help or not now. But, I run my MSi GT-627 US Gaming Laptop at 1650x1050 and it's a 15". Honestly if you're more than about 3 feet away text becomes really hard to read. Icons aren't so bad from that distance. Now if you're on top of the laptop, typing on it and working like that you should be fine and have no problems. If you're going to use it on a desk and sit back you will need an external monitor in the 19"+ range. Hope that helps.

  • Hey man, you probably know this its a quick question, do you know if the Mac 27 inches with the wireless mouse and keyboard comes with that tiny remote control for itunes and movies that some other macs have? or if not.. theres a way to add it? .. thank you in advance (sorry for my english)

  • Awesome review - very in depth but not too overly technical. Looking forward to more from your channel for sure!

  • Great review, by far the most informative out there and all in 5 minutes, you deserve more views! (I also subscribed) I'm hoping the 2011 13" model gets one of the i processors if so I'm getting it if not then I'll have to think about it because my current 1 year old laptop is a dual core amd and it overheats like crazy seconds after turning it on. I was wondering compared to your imac, is this mac stable when using photoshop or watching/editing 1080p movies? also does it get hot? thanks!

  • 1:30 it's called multi-touch. lol

  • Awesome video, :)

    Thanks!

  • I think the MacBook pro is awsooooooooom. I'm go to get one

  • Is the Macbook or the Macbook Pro better for editing videos?

I want to make videos similar to a girl name Andrea Russett on youtube, her channel is andrearussett , the video that starts playing when your on her page is the type of video i want to make . Is the macbook capable to create and edit a video like that , or would i need to go with the Pro ? Please Respond !

  • great review!

  • nice review. Im gonna go with the 13 inch since imma dj i need something more compact. Are you saying the keyboard doesn't light up??

  • @domn8ify It does light up, but he wishes he didn't have to use the feature. He said he would rather have a silver keyboard so it could reflect light, instead of have to use the backlighting feature (:

  • why not just get a mac pro? all the money you spent on the 4 mac's just get it and keep your favorite and most powerful keeboard. mac pros are the ultimate!

  • nice video recorder as well, what's the camcorder?

    nice review :)

  • Thank God! A human that knows how to say ALUMINUM correctly!!!!!

  • Is it better to get the 13 or the 15 ?

  • @MsWhiteshell

Once you step up to the 15" you get the intel i5 chip.

I highly recommend the upgrade. Not to mention the extra screen size always helps.

If you fly a lot, you might prefer the smaller size if you squeeze into "coach" seating...

  • @MsWhiteshell 15 inch is better

  • @MsWhiteshell you also get a dedicated graphics card and that will definitely help in 3d rendering and frame rate rendering

  • I think neither are good

  • Carefull Don't Slam It Now

  • Thanks for your reviews, they are all interesting and easy to watch.

Do you mind if I ask what you do for a job ?

You seem to have all the amazing toys.

  • I just have to say, this is probably one of the best reviews that I have seen. I didn't hear a single "um" in the whole thing. Too bad I'm not in the market for a new computer, because I might have to buy an MBP just because of the quality of your review.

  • @kiddfroster

    Thanks for the feedback.

  • looks really expensive, thank goodness my work only requires the utility of a netbook and ms office.

  • When you showed the ports, you had the 15 inch MacBook Pro but when you talked about the battery connector did you switch out to a 17 inch because I thought I saw a express card /34 slot?

  • @yusukeaoki1234

Nope, no switch was made. It only has the SD slot.

  • you just make AWESOME vids !!!! keep making them !!! i think youre better then jon4lakers and stuff :D

  • @moJWZ

    Thanks!

  • Getting my specialized 15" i7 SSD Macbook Pro in less than 2 weeks! Can't wait :D

  • How do you afford like 4? different macs?.?

  • @bmxsnowskate

    Work requires heavy computer usage.

  • Thanks for the advice and now I'm definitly saving the extra money for one.

  • Thank you, very good review. I'm getting one next month. And I needed to know stuff like that. (I'm converting completely to Apple) Thanks again.

  • Do you notice any high temperature when using it. Ive heard the i7 tends to get really hot. Is that true?

  • @Gear7even

Not as bad as the older non Intel models.

It gets warm, but not like the old stuff.

  • Leave it to Apple for form over function. Unless you're a hipster or an Apple slave, this thing fails for the price they are asking. No changeable battery and a low end graphics card for the premium you're paying? No thanks. People should start working out more if they think a slightly thicker laptop with better cooling/power is "too heavy".

  • is this your own review?

  • @hersheybar11

I am not sure what you mean.

  • @ReviewGuy1000 i mean, is the guy in the video actually you? or did you "copy and paste" the video? sry if i sound rude.

  • @hersheybar11

It is me, you can click on my name and see all of my videos.

Funny, I've been asked a lot of things, but never if I am me, haha.

  • hot biceps! :-)

  • Awesome review! Keep 'em coming. BTW WHen did your purchase ur MBP? I got an i5 about 2 months ago and it came with the sleek Magsafe plug.

  • @ImBonkerz100

    Canon HS10

    I love it.

I have a video review almost done for it, but they came out with a new model since then.

  • pedo bear at 3:46

  • Regarding the power cable... that's really weird. I ordered my 13" MacBook Pro 2010 (2.4GHz C2D) about five months ago and it came with the updated cable. So i think your scenario could just be a fluke. An unusual one, but still, a fluke.

  • I love the apple and mac reviews but id like to see some more on some gaming stuff if possible, maybe another headset (Such as the Astro A40's, these are pricey at 250 for the audio system not including TOSlink cable) or Sennheiser PXC350 (these go for around 115 on amazing while they are at a retail of like 220). Please and Thanks.

Note:* Senhnheiser PXC350s are a PC headset not a Console Headset but can be hooked up to a console through an ASTRO mixamp with correct wiring.

  • This review is very helpful.

  • I want a 17" inch MacBook Pro and this will be my first laptop, i've always been a desktop user

  • Each time you cut to a new clip, try not to have a big smile. It is kind of awkward, try to just get right into it or a transition.

  • @EdwardJamesThompson

Yeah you are right, I was trying to make sure I gave some lead in for the transitions but I left too much in. Thanks for the feedback.
