  • David is definitely the best at applying rudiments to the kit. That's my favorite thing about his playing.

  • PEDRO BIAL, FROM BRAZIL ??

  • haha "so there i am." :DDD

  • met him and his wife last year at the california academy of sciences in san francisco. cool down to earth guy. and his wife was so proud of him!:)that he was recognized by a young guy in a museum!:)hahaha...

  • what snare does he use?

  • @DrumsJam Yamaha

  • OMFG he looks just like a finnish news anchor! :D:D

  • The Great David Garibaldi From San Francisco Bay Area!!!

  • The Great David Garibaldi From San Francisko by Area!!!

  • This is sick. I want that book

  • David,

I remember studying with you at Dick Groves. You have been great influence in my music and movement. Thank you...

    Best regards,

    David Roberti

  • Always nice to see both top rated comments are about the same thing.

  • Under rated as a legend.

  • holy shit, 0:00 to 0:02 was so fucking intense.

  • @matticus24yum Its the intro to As I Am by Dream Theater, awesome song :)

  • какашкин

  • y just garage band where r the real drums

  • funkiest cat on the planet!!!!!

  • david.....stop talking and play the drums

  • The tower of power live and in living color album is one of the best soul albums you can listen to, with some of the best drumming

  • ok, my boy just made a jojo reference. i love this guy.

  • He sounds like Letterman when he talks.

  • David is a great teacher, very humble & personable. I agree with lazur1's post about the JoJo Meyer thing...yeah...actually a compliment...and David was showing how to utilize the loop feature for us. It seems to me as I've met/heard really great musician's over time...they're usually very down to earth, straight shooters and humble. They always acknowledge other great performers/teachers/innovators of our music craft.

  • @votman1 I agree. The better the drummer or musician, the more they defer to the craft and the other talent within their realm. Nice observation.

  • JOJO MAYER EAT YOUR HEART OUT! AHAH

  • David is a tremendous teacher!

  • @bateraeric01 The 'eat you heart out' post is in reference to that same comment, which David makes on this video while showing the speed-change feature: When he speeds up the loop, it does indeed sound a lot like JoJo, tho probably too fast for -anyone- to play in real time. It's really a -compliment- to Meyer.

  • David looks like your mild mannered high school geometry teacher...but put him behind some drums..............!!

  • @pretorious700 we have a math teacher that looks exactly lyk him as well

  • I feel honored to have exactly the same cymbals as him!

  • "196! Jojo Mayer eat your heart out!" - great line :)

  • dvdroms cddvdcd rom

FUNK IS THE RING AROUND THE BATH TUB MOFO.

  • Solid Drum Work and Insight!!

  • David is a true educator. There are many masterful drummers who are well meaning in putting out instructional videos but just don't quite know how to communicate with the AVERAGE drummer trying to be BETTER THAN AVERAGE drummers. David Garibaldi is a true exception because he's not just an exceptional drummer but an exceptional teacher. I am a true believer in his methods. They work.

  • I'm glad he explained what a DVD ROM is.

  • @suckamsears yeah, the first 3 minutes I thought it was some kind of "pc for dummies" lesson.

  • Im with you when ever Lee Perkins from V101.1 has you guys at the Radisson in Sacramento Calif

  • thanks for the video pleas post some moer of your solos in youtube. god bless

  • Jojo mayer eat your heart up! hahaha

  • @qwertysow haha yeah that was awesome!

  • :)

    Great!

    Dave you awesome!

I still work on future sounds.

Your book became twicest bigger than the original one :) I descovered a hundreds permutations, and possibilities to play complicated grooves. I mean, I was shoked by realise how many grooves i can made by apply the permutation stuff.

Keep on doing great job David!

    I'm a real funk lover.

    Take care!

  • jojo MEYER ??...HILARIOUS !!!

  • Well he's originaly from like Switzerland so i am pretty sure his name is really pronounced that way.

  • It's very possible. What's really funny is D.G's very dry humor.

  • haha, Yeah...

  • I laughed at "Jojo Meyer, eat your heart out"

  • Haha year, me to! :)
