I have the pleasure of doing both with my god, I do both cross fit (including this workout) but on my own time I do weights. Personally I prefer weights. Not as much fun...but more rewarding.
did this workout today and it killed me, the reason it is called fight gone bad is because it was designed with mixed martial arts in mid to simulate the muscular activity during a three round fight (not the getting punched and kick, pulled about side of it all just the work), when a fighter...I forget his name tried the workout, he was asked if it was like a fight.....he replied "it was like a fight gone bad" hence the name. I thought I was going to vomit during the third round.
I have an idea, how about you try this workout yourself and try to score over 300. Judging by your lack of understanding and respect for this type of workout I bet you will be laid on your back and will be "fuckin useless" for at least 10 minutes. Would not be surprised if you are passed out or puking your guts out half-way through.

Like Charlie Francis and Ian King say...there is a time and a place for everything. That being said, have you ever watched olympic lifting...they lift just as fast.
yea well when they get older their muscles are gonna sag and their gonna look like shit......really i dont care what they do and how they do it i was just saying...... all i know is lifting slow and letting down slower gives better results..
