Oh yeah, she was really helpful...it was just in the middle somewhere when Paige made her REALLY angry and Alex was really hurt so she was being really mean to Paige.
She was having numerous panic attacks for various reasons--from failing courses at Banting (and not being able to tell her mother) to transferring to Toronto U (she was ashamed that she let her mother down) to all the pressure everyone was putting on her and to not being able to be near/be with Alex.

I wanted to cry when the turkey burst all over Paige. And I'm SOOO glad that Alex was there taking care of her in that episode.

I just thought that by the end, Alex was doing Paige a favor by getting her to confront the fear of letting her family down.
