  • Is this person familiar with, John 20:30-31? What do you think is being taught here? It doesnt matter what didnt make it into the written word, you have all you need. Thats what is being taught.

  • I hope you truly follow the way of Orthodoxy and not the Bishops of today. For most of them are corrupt and follow the heresy of Ecumenism and other heresies. The bishops of America, Australia, Constantinople, Egypt and all the rest are all fallen stars. The only bishop who is true to the word of Orthodoxy is in Jerusalem. It is written that one day the bishops would become worse that than the actually citizens in Gods eyes.

    God Bless

  • @MenechemShaul You don't pay much attention, do you? I was simply making sure you knew the difference. First, I'm not Catholic, but Orthodox. Second, really, pagan? People like you make real pagans run from Christianity.

  • thank you for posting and preaching..God bless Orthodox!!

  • You have got to love how Pagans like you twist Scripture!

  • You are the confused one! Not us! I am a former Catholic, proud Born again person! I was born Jewish adopted and raised Catholic now a Messianic Baptist! You twist the scripture, you are not founded on scripture! The early Church kept Saturday as Sabbath!

  • Hm,.....the early church.....so u exactly know the early church, than I am asking myself why u are not orthodox. Because there is no other church which is keeping the early church tradition more.

Does your women cover their hair? Do pray while standing and do u make prostrations, do u fast every wednesday and friday? do u pray facing east? do u pray at the hours? do u celebrate vespers and the morning service? are men and women are seperated in your "church"?

  • @adamantis4657 Why am I not Orthodox, because they follow Catholic Tradition! I am truly Orthodox! Show me where in Scripture the Sabbath was Changed to Sunday (You will not find it Ignatius was the one who changed it and in fact the Catechism of the Catholic church makes reference that they changed the Holy days)! If the women have long hair yes they do! I have been to man Divine Liturgies where Women do not have their head covered!

  • Sorry my friend u are wrong because orthodox do not follow catholic Traditon - what nonsense! We would be catholics...???

The Sabbath was the seventh day on which God rested and it was blessed (and still is) but more blessed is the day after the seventh day 8th day because God resurrected from the dead and trampled down death by death. It is the new day - the beginning of our Salvation. And so u will see that christians always honored the Lord's day and celebrated Pascha!

  • @adamantis4657 BTW, THis is quoting the Heretical Teachings of Marcion and Ignatius, this is not based on the Word of God! You are claiming that Your Tradition is Based on the word of God, than Why do we not see this Phrase in the Word begining in Genesis and Ending in Revelation?! BTW the Way You are Rightfully claiming that Yeshua is our Eternal Paschal, why then do you Celebrate a Pagan Holiday know as Easter, instead of Celebrating Passover and Unleavened Bread (1 Corinthians 5.6-8)?!

  • @adamantis4657 The Catholic tradition is your Tradition, the only difference is this, You are eastern rite and they are western rite, You still follow Idolatry and Not Scripture! Granted you are a little more grounded in Scripture than they tend to be but you still fall into their Idolatrous traps! Tell me where you are quoting form in Scripture about this Whole 8th day Crap (I know for a fact it is not in Scripture but is found in the Heretics of Ignatius and Marcion [If I'm wrong prove it])!

  • Since the Holy Orthodox Church is the Church of old and keeps the Tradition of the Apostles women has to cover their hair and are seperated from men ( like it was in the early church) women stand on the left side and men on the right.

  • @adamantis4657 The Liturgy "It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Word. We magnify you, the true Theotokos." This Is worshiping her, If it was not than Why would you have this in a Church Service! Yes she is Blessed among women (Luke 1), However, the only one Higher than the Angels is God (Hebrews 1)! Go and Study!

  • @adamantis4657 Furthermore what about your claim of you being true to the Church of the New Testament, if this was so How come you do not Honour the Sabbath day as they did?! How come you do not Celebrate the Feasts of Leviticus 23 as they did?! How come you do not follow their worship customs in regards to not praying to the dead or seeking their intercession?! How come you're following the Doctrine and tradition of men and not Scripture (You quoted Ignatius's words regarding the Sabbath)?!

  • @adamantis4657 Vespers are not biblical, nor his fasting every week. Bust yes we do fast! In Our Church there is no need for there to be a separation and I have been to many Orthodox "Church's" where there is no separation between the sexes. Let me ask you something now, where in Scripture are we told to Worship Mary?! In the Liturgy of John Chrysostom, there are hymns to the Theotokos. According to the Bible we are to Approach God in the Name of Jesus his son empowered with the Holy Spirit!

  • Really, they are not biblical? Hm....why it is said that God is praised 7 times a day? Vespers is absolutly biblical!

In our Church it is perhaps not but in the true church it is, like it is written in the apostolic canons and constitutions. Like it was in the Temple in Jerusalem!

I do not know what kind of orthodox churches u mention here - but not every church which calles itself orthodox is in truth orthodox! In russia every girl has covered hair!

  • @adamantis4657 You have yet to provide me with any References, I provide you with all My references, You have yet to Prove anything! Regarding Mary let us return back to the Liturgy (BTW, I was in the Orthodox Church after I left the Catholic Church [I was born to a Jewish Teenage Girl, who was raped).

  • Adamantis4657, if your claim about your Church not being Catholic is correct, that why do you recite the Nicene Creed during the Divine Liturgy which professes a belief in one Holy 'catholic and apostolic church'? Furthermore you have yet to send me a rebuttal regarding my comments of the whole separate seating issue and Womens heads not being covered! Furthermore you have yet to show me where in Scripture we are to have a Morning Service!

  • @MenechemShaul The word 'catholic', which is not capitalized in the English translation nor any other that I know of, means 'universal', not "Roman." This is simply for your edification.

  • @racarrera Look Its one thing to observe different days and eat delicious non Kosher foods (like Shrimp and pig) (according to the Outline in Jeremiah 31, Col. 2, Romans 14 and Hebrews 8) but its another think that your Roman cult is true to the Apostolic teachings! The term Catholic means universal and was first used in reference of believers in 110 A.D. which is before the formation of the Roman Catholic cult! I use the term to truly define those who members of the universal body not Rome!

  • @racarrera When the word is used as a title it is capitalized! When all you can do is nit-pick when it comes to punctuation it goes to show that you can not come up with an intelligent argument!

  • Does not She herself say that every generation will call Her blessed? Did not even the ARCHANGEL from heaven sent her greetings like: REJOICE, GRACEFILLED Mary the Lord is with thee? Do u know what it means to be gracefilled? Did not Elizabeth honor Her when calling Her Mother of MY LORD ( meter mou kyriou...) that means Mother of God!!!

  • @adamantis4657 "By the intercessions of the Theotokos, Saviour, save us " She can no longer intercede as she is no longer on earth, she has died in Christ. You are practising Necromancy when you're inquiring of the "Saints". We, the Church, Are the living Saints, we Intercede for each other! Also It is one thing to Honour Mary, it is a purely different thing to have Prayers dedicated to her during the Divine Liturgy! She, BTW, is not queen.

  • @adamantis4657 In essecence I am Truly Orthodox as I follow the word of God only and not the Tradition of Men (Such as I do not Worship Bread and Wine, nor Do I worship the Saints[The word States not to consult the dead and that we are all Saints (People of God [Romans 1 is a prime example)]). Where in the Bible does it mention that we are to have a Morning Service?!We are told to keep God's Holy Convocations(Sabbath, and the Feasts and Fasts of Lev.23). Trust me I'm Dangerous as I know his word!

  • @MenechemShaul Tell me where in Scripture are we told that a Bishop is to be Single (I know that in Orthodox that A priest of a Perish is aloud to be married and if not the are to be Monastic but a Bishop is to be Widowed)?! "An overseer, therefore, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, self-controlled, sensible, respectable, hospitable, an able teacher," 1 Timothy 3:2 [Holman Christian Standard Bible (Overseer means Bishop)!

  • As u know from Gospel that even Christ was not married, some Apostles were not married and those married Apostles like Peter - did u read about His wife? Where in the Gospel is His wife. Marriage is great before God but sometimes it is better to be alone and to offer your life complely to God.

  • @adamantis4657 What about Yeshua Healing his mother-in-law in Matthew 8?! Are you really that Ignorant?! THis is a Clear indication that Peter went home to be with his Family! Please if you're going to challenge someone who is well versed in Sacred Scripture, study first! BTW, Yes I am Circumcised, No I do not keep Torah as an Orthodox Jew I keep it in light of the New Testament Teachings, all meat is Clean as it matters what comes out of the Mouth (Mt.15,Mrk.7Acts10,et al).

  • @adamantis4657 Christ is God,He has no need for marriage he is as he said from beginning "Before Abraham was I am"! Elders, Deacons and Bishops are to be married according to scripture! BTW there were female Apostles and Deacons and Pastors {Junia[s], Phoebe and Priscilla [Prisca in Romans 16] [Romans 16, Acts 15]), I'm Jewish so I got Circumcised as like Timothy, non Jews need not be!

  • @adamantis4657 I'm truly Orthodox, You are not!

  • You follow your own tradition and not Holy Tradition which is not from men but from Christ himself and His Holy Aposltes. Did not Paul often says: keep the Tradition, stand fast in the faith, keep what I have told u written and unwritten.

Did u also read in the letter of St. Peter that we are not allowed to interprete the Scriptures according to our own understanding?

You also have to distinct between worshipp and veneration. NO ONE worshipps Saints but we honor them!

  • @adamantis4657 I do follow Holy Tradition! Tradition found in the word of God! Mary was not ever Virgin, Yet your own interpretation says she is ever virgin. I interpret Scripture with Scripture, you twist Sacred Scripture! When you are praying and singing Praises to the Theotokos in a service that is supposedly to be about the Worship of the Great and Holy Triune Godhead!

  • @adamantis4657 Need I remind you that your Church was not founded until the Schism in 1054?! Need I also remind you that the term Catholic was not coined until 110 A.D.?! If you want to keep challenging me go right ahead, but I will be ready!

  • In truth the Orthodox Church was founded by Christ and not 1054?? The catholic church left the orthodox and not the other way! This is a fact and can be proven.

Which church has introduced innovations? The orthodox or the catholic? Which church changed Tradition - ha?

  • @adamantis4657 Your Church (Pre Schism) Simultaneously Changed Tradition! I go by Scripture, Scripture states that we must Keep Today, the Sabbath Day, Holy I honour it. You Honour the Sabbath Introduced by Heretics know as Marcion and Ignatius! It is widely document that the Church in her Primitive state, upheld God's holy Day's, Christ during the Transfiguration was celebrating the Feast of Booths, he after that Blessed moment, went down for the Last day of the Feast (Sacred 8th day [Lev.23])!

  • @adamantis4657 My last response to you today is this from a Cardinal in the Catholic Cult:

James Cardinal Gibbons, Archbishop of Baltimore (1877-1921), in a signed letter.

“Is Saturday the seventh day according to the Bible and the Ten Commandments? I answer YES. Is Sunday the first day of the week and did the Church change the seventh day —Saturday — for Sunday, the first day? I answer YES. Did Christ change the day? I answer NO.

    Faithfully yours, J. Card. Gibbons;”

  • I am not interested what Cardinals are writing - I am interested what the church Fathers are writing and the Saints.

Let me ask u one question: do u keep the whole law of God? Are u circumcised? do u abstain from unpure meals?

  • @adamantis4657 Fine refer back to Ignatius, he said the same thing! The early Church kept the Sabbath, he, even though he was a disciple of John the Apostle, he and Marcion taught Heretical Teachings! BTW, the Orthodox branch of Catholicism teaches the same thing about Sunday! Furthermore, if you study History the Church was Completely Catholic and Started in Rome, The Schism happened because the eastern church was feeling neglected! You need to study History more!

  • @adamantis4657 You are Highly Ignorant!

  • This is a wonderful series. It clarifies God given Tradition's importance in avoiding heresy.

  • Doesn't Orthodox incorporate Greek Philosophies with its beliefs, Mysticism(Divine Liturgy) and Veneration of Mary. Also with all the icons in those churches it seems to me that the 2nd commandment is being tread upon--> "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth."

  • @afzpuppet

Do you not believe in taking photographs or paintings, either?

  • @JFMello1116 Deuteronomy 4:16 answers your question.. No images male or female.. If any church has images male or female or heavenly or on earth or beneath breaks the 2nd commandment.. Any church that has these is not of the spirit of true christianity.. Beware of churches with ALTARS they are PAGAN underneath..

  • @afzpuppet

What, then, about the cross, that thing which has been the symbol of our religion for nearly twenty centuries? Isn't that an image? By your interpretation, we should not wear crosses or put them on our churches because it is idolatry.

  • @JFMello1116 Do your crosses have a graven image on them? If so, this breaks the 2nd commandment of God.. As long as you are not worshpping a cross I don't see a problem with crosses.. After all we use objects such as spoons, forks, knives, glasses, etc to assist us in our everyday life.. If I want to use a cross to eat with, so be it.

  • @afzpuppet I don't understand how the cross fits in as a tool like the other things you've compared it to; what function does it serve other than as a visual reminder of what Christ did for us?

At any rate, no, you don't worship the cross, but in just the same way you do not worship the picture of Jesus on the church wall, or hung in a frame on your own wall. The Tabernacle in the desert had pictures of cherubim all over, according to its description in the Old Testament; what about them?

  • "Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear."

  • Very good videos, Which Coptic church is this? and what state?

  • Ecumenism is the heresy of our times and the preparation for the Antichrist. There is only one Church and this is the Orthodox. You know pews are forbidden in the church. Orthodox Christians do not sit during the Services and prayer - it would be blasphemous

  • Amen.

  • This past Sunday was the Sunday of the Last Judgment in the Church. While I agree that pews are an impediment to Orthodox worship, the gospel lesson from this past Sunday provides ample evidence that Christ will not be asking if we had pews in our Church when we come before Him on the final day of jusdgment.

  • wouldn't pews or no pews be a tradition of man?

  • NO - when u study the Holy Scripture and the writings of the Holy Fathers u will see that such things belong to Holy Tradition.

We are not allowed to sit on pews during prayer - this is a imitation of the heterodox.

Orthodox christians always prayed while standing, with prostrations, bows ...

  • adamantis; do you mean that there are no pews at all?

  • NO read for example Tertullian - he writes that it is even blasphemous to sit down immediatly after prayer.

There are even Canons who tell us how we have to behave in Church.

All these things belong to Holy Apostolic Tradition: prayer facing east, to stand, how to make prostrations, not to kneel on Sundays, how to make the sign of the cross, that women have to cover their hair, that women stand on the left side and men on the right side, the prayers of the hours and so on...

  • @macpduff

Yes it is a custom. Even Orthodox Churches that have pews, perishinors are standing most of the service. Pews are a western "modern" invention.

  • @Ellhnismos Thank you my friend. I am learning about Orthodox Christianity and thank God He has preserved it.

  • @adamantis4657 The Orthodox Church and Catholic Church have the same History! Before 110 A.D. The church was celebrating the Feast (Including the Saturday Sabbath) of the Bible (Leviticus 23)! Wake up and study The Holy Word Of God and history!

  • Yes, u are right. The catholic church once was ORTHODOX and no one has denied that fact.

Christians celebrated the Lords day on the 8th day of the week because Christ resurrected on the first day of the week = 8th day. 8 is the Symbol for eternity. The day of days, the neverending day, eternity. We celebrate Pascha every week.

What is more important? That Christ/God resurrected from the dead or the jewish law that is already fullfilled in Christ?

  • @adamantis4657 You have yet to answer my First Question I will quote myself 'Where in the Bible does it mention that we are to have a Morning Service?!' By the way, you re offering the Once and For all Sacrifice is Clearly in direct Violation of Hebrews 9 and 10! Also Christ did not institute Cannibalism, the Church did! John 6 is a Metaphor, His Flesh and Blood are likened to his Spirit and likeness. This a a Rabbinic form of teaching, quite popular in Yeshua's day!

  • adamantis4657, the Council of Nicea in Rome, not Constantinople, put a final end to Christians upholding the Sabbath day and Biblical Holidays, your 'church was apart of this!

  • @adamantis4657 If you were Archbishop, we would be living under our version of the Taliban!

  • @Philflash: u must be very modernised to think I am a kinda of christian taliban.LOL

It is a bad sign for u - u must be far away from Holy Orthodoxy! Because what I wrote is not more or less what Orthodoxy preaches.

Perhaps u are in the wrong church - go and join some protestant denomination - u are free to...

  • @adamantis4657 Again, I totally agree with you!!! Orthodox Rocks!!! IC XC.+.NI KA

  • @adamantis4657 As an Orthodox Christian myself, I know for a fact that pews are not forbidden by the entire Church. While I agree that Orthodox should not have pews, most of the Orthodox temples I have been to in America have pews. If pews were forbidden by the Church and considered blasphemous, then why aren't bishops being excommunicated for allowing churches to have pews?

  • @magnus56j: PEWS ARE FORBIDDEN because they are against the Holy Tradition of the Orthodox Church. Pews are a VERY NEW thing to Holy Orthodoxy and were copied from the heterodox.

For 2000 years Orthodox christians stood and prostrated during the services and NO ONE was sitting on chairs or pews like in cinema. The Holy Church is the Temple of God and we go to worshipp HIM and to adore Him - not to "watch" the Sercvice from our sitting place.

  • @magnus56j: PEWS AND AMERICA

Most of the Greek Churches in USA are not orthodox anymore - they are full of innovation and modernism. PEWS, ORGANS, Women do not cover their hair, etc....This is well known.

Because most of those Bishops are modernists and innovators and ecumenists! Instead of keeping the Orthodox Faith they trample down on the Holy Canons day by day....

  • @adamantis4657 Is there a some sort of schism in the Orthodox Church I don't know about? I am a convert to Orthodoxy from Roman Catholicism. I wasn't trying to offend you, but I didn't realize there was an issue with pews and the Orthodox. Now the temple I go to has pews, but not an organ. Do you mind explaining to me why you think the use of pews is blasphemous? I didn't realize it had anything to do with doctrine of the Church. To me it seems superflous, but I was wondering why it's heresy.

  • @magnus56j: Well; I did not say it is heresy but it is against the Holy and Apostolic Tradition!

Look, the Holy Fathers have spoken about such things; how to behave in the Temple of God, how to be dressed etc...

There is no problem when on the sides are a few places to sit for old and sick people but it was never "NORMAL" to sit during the services - NEVER.

As I said: We STAND and PROSTRATE during the Services and we do not sit on chairs that would be improper to sit in fron of God

  • @adamantis4657 Okay I see what you are saying. But since the temple I attend has pews, does that mean it is not Orthodox? I am a recent convert, and yes I did read the Fathers and that is one of the main reasons I converted. Now, the closest temple to where I live that does not have pews is actually at a monastery and they are in union with the Church I attend. Now is there a schism that I don't know about? I'm a bit confused. I thought Orthodoxy was united pews or no pews.

  • @magnus56j: PEWS:

In whole Russia u will not find a church with PEWS, also in Serbia u will not find any church with Pews. In USA there are many orthodox churches without Pews: many ROCA parishes, many OCA parishes have no Pews.

It depends if u want to worshipp God and adore HIM how it is due to HIM - that means ORTHO - DOX - right GLORY - to give GOD the right Glory.

Do u make prostrations? Do u kneel? Do u bow down? this all is a part of true worship.

  • @adamantis4657 On Sundays we don't kneel, but we do bow and make prostrations. I usually stand the whole time except for the homily. What is your thought about Archbishop Demetrios of America? Do you see him in schism?

  • @magnus56j: On the LORD's day we should not bend our knees!

Yes, this was ordered by an Ecumenical Synod. Because the LORD's Day is the day of Resurrection and we pray only while standing because to stand is a symbol of the resurrection of CHRIST. But we make small prostrations.

Archbishop Demetrios? Hm - is he from the Greek Orthodox Church of America? Well I dot know all details but that church is very modernised.

Go and search here on youtube!

  • @adamantis4657 Yes he is. I actually get to see him this Sunday!! He is celebrating Divine Liturgy at a Church that is being consecrated. This will be the first time where I will get to meet a bishop. It's a rare experience.

  • @magnus56j: Why do not visit a parish of the ROCA?

There are many parishes of the ROCA in USA. They are very traditional.

  • @adamantis4657 Yes, I'll give it a try. I am Greek Orthodox, but that was what I was exposed to first when I found Orthodoxy.

  • @magnus56j: There is NO Schism yet!

But as I told u, there are many modernist parishes there. IT IS NOT RIGHT when the Priests allow Pews, Organs, and other innovations.

But that's the way it is.

Such things are forbidden and no ORTHODOX should accept them. We should co-celebrate with Priests and not passivly sit on chairs.

Go to a traditional parish and u will see the difference! Try it for once.

  • @adamantis4657 Okay, yes definitely. I'll go to a traditional parish. I just wanted to make sure you didn't think I was in schism. I agree, there should be no pews, organs, or other innovations, and I hope that Orthodoxy resolves this issue soon in America so that there is no future schism.

  • @magnus56j: Ok - try it out! U will see the difference. God bless u and keep u!

U know Blessed Seraphim Rose spoke also about those things, and many others - even greeks. Such tendencies are not good.

They completely destroy the proper behaviour during the Holy and Divine Services. And they are so precious to us orthodox. We should keep them blameless as they are.

  • @adamantis4657 Thank you brother!! God bless you!!

  • @magnus56j: PEWS and the TEMPLE

1.) We have to stand and prostrate; permanently we pray: Let us fall down and worship - these are not empty words but we really fall down. At every: LORD have mercy we make small prostrations, at the "Our Father" or "Meet is it in truth" we FALL ON OUR FACES.

How will people fall on their faces when they sit on Pews?

2.) To sit ony pews when the Temple is filled with Angels and angelic Hosts, when Christ is sitting on His Holy Throne = ALTAR

  • @magnus56j:

3.) How can we sit when the Cherubim and Seraphim tremble before His Holy Throne. We beg God, we entreat Him to forgive our sins, to guide us, WHILE WE ARE SITTING ON PEWS?

Come on - that would be improper!

Would u go to a great King and beg Him to forgive u while sitting on a chair? NO - that would be improper but God is the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords...how can we dare to sit infront of Him.

We are his servants and HE is our MASTER!

  • @magnus56j:

4.) Many Saints had visions, they have seen the Hosts of Angels, or CHRIST on His Throne during Liturgy, or the Saints with the Most Holy Theotokos. How can we sit during such a great Mystery?

St. Niphon once saw the Most Holy Theotokos during Liturgy. She blessed all who stood with fear but those who did not stand with fear - SHE did not bless.

St. Augustine says: WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SIT, for Tertullian it is even a shame to sit immediatly AFTER prayer.

  • I have some more questions how can I get answers from this Blessed man?

  • What are your questions?

  • I have my own analogy about how Scripture, Tradition, and the Magisterium (Church) work together. See:

    Sola Scriptura Part 7: Conclusion

  • Yeah i luv it, im going to upload another one of this priests sermons right now

  • Hey, I'm about to get started on the first video for our debate.

  • oh nice, tell me wen ur done uploading it

  • You really need to add more of this stuff. It's awesome.
