  • @schnecki07 This happens to me after having one bite of something with refined sugar. The only thing that helps me is to go cold turkey off refined sugar and eat more sweet fruit especially bananas, smoothies etc.. eventually in a few days to a week the cravings will be diminished or gone. It has to get out of your blood.. I hear ya!!

  • Sean could u please stop uploading videos?? some are addicted to your bs... lol!! yes thats true what they say about you being a scam.whatever the person says on your interview u just agree with them..u never sort of question or point out different facts,ideas,etc.. thats beeing a back kisser..to be polite..

  • thank you for answering my questions!

  • Sean is a jive turkey.

  • Day 4 detox for me. I feel soooo different!! So much BETTER!! My skin is noticeably fresher and my muscles are thankful.

  • As Lovsoup said, processed sugar is the problem. Put down the donuts and pick up a bag of apples to eat for dinner instead.

  • Amen. I used to be a major health nut, but over the past year it's been a downward spiral. And yes! Sugar is like crack!! lol.

  • Fruit is your friend people! I have not only lost 40lbs eating up to 50 bananas a day but also cured candida overgrowth, CFS, acne and serious digestive problems. 100% on a diet of raw fruits, greens, nuts and seeds. Check out my video on my page, its had over 125,000 hits. Time to get your head out of the sand.

  • Hey Sean! Alcohol is a drug :P

  • Check out Flreelea and durianriders. They are raw vegans, trhey eat mostly fruit, they're in great shape, durianriders has been a raw vegan living off of mostly fruit for 10 years. Sean is a scam artist and a jerk in real life.

  • @TheAmazingJimmy Dont know Sean or about him, but in the video "The bitter truth" it is said that nature packets the fructose with alot of other stuff, like fiber etc. But we separate the fructose and use it as an ingredient in a very concentrated form compared to how it comes in nature. That is the problem as far as i can understand, but i have been wrong before.. I thought, like Sean, that a calorie is a calorie. I`ve now seen proof of otherwise and naturally need to rethink my position.

  • @TheAmazingJimmy Everytime i eat fruit my sugar spikes and then i crash and i eat healthy (veggies, meats....yeah i said the M word). I stopped eating fruit for a whole 6 months and i didnt have any sugar cravings for candy, sweets or any fruit. I went to my nieces bday party where they had fruit bowls and cake. I refrained from the cake but ate some fruit and oh boy my cravings came back. I could do without fruit just fine... and i used to eat tons of it when i was in my teens and not much meat

  • I'm addicted to sugar and I cannot live without it. It even got to the point where I eat sugar from the bag with a spoon. They say sugar is as addictive as cocaine.

  • @hellokitty8404 "sugar from the bag"... I can relate. I've been slipping further and further for the past couple months, and that's one of the habits I've picked up....

  • I have to jump through loops for a prescription of a NATURAL hormone-- with little to no side effects (most are made up by government) -- (pay $ to insurance, copay, deductible, tests, second opinion, third opinion, doctors rejections, finally prescription--paperwork, etc etc)... but for some reason in our wonderful US of A you can buy cancer in a stick, obesity in a donut, and diabetes in a coke--over the counter. The government has me all kinds of fucked up.

  • @insidexistance

It's all about the money, corrupt corporations are generating unprecedented profit fortunes through the slow-kill of the American population. The FDA works hard to invent fictitious obstacles that make it very difficult for the population to stay healthy, banning everything they can that is natural and good for you, while covertly subsidizing and underhandedly promoting processed chemicals and other food substances that create profitable "soft-kill" scenarios for lobbyists.

  • what about the psychological addiction and the emotional problems that cause the addictions and cravings...what can you replace that with, what will give you the same hit as heroin, morphine and sugar...

  • "Joe, Joe. I got you guys really good!" ... Like ,WTF wuz dat?

  • Sugar I have had so far today.

    Apple = about 35 grams

some pop = about 30 grams

Squeeze of Lemon = about 2 grams

Orange Juice = about 22 grams

Total = 89 grams of sugar

There is no way I am getting no sugar in my diet.

  • Yes!!! Glutamine caps or powder helps with cravings. I agree!!!!!!

  • Eat FRUIT, Not Processed, Bleached, Refined Sugar

Fresh raw fruit seeds planted produce another fruit tree.

Processed sugar does not produce a tree, but does support disease

  • @lovsoup Sugar isn't a seed. Hello? wow.

  • @rideatrek EXACTLY.... you got my point. Sugar is not a seed and does not reproduce like fruit, therefore there is NO life white sugar >> only empty calories promoting inflammation and disease.

  • Thank you.You are really an expert, it took me nearly two years to kick my sugar addiction. I am still not well some times but I have been eating a lot sugar all my life, so I suppose this is the main problem. Nobody ever told me that sugar is like a drug, I have discovered this my self when I developed hypoglycemia reactive and I couldn't eat sugar any more. It is true, it is just when you stop eating sugar you realize you have a problem. Thank you again for your video

  • Awesome video bro!

  • im addicting to sugar more speceffically juice. i can survive a whole day without food but not juice......

  • Super Cool !!!!

  • I eat sugar(fruit) for over 95% of my cals. Want sweet? Drop the donut and pick up the quality ripe organic fruit.

Does Sean Croxton have a clue? He limits his fruit intake to 2 apples a day but drinks as much beer as he wants on weekends. LMFAO.

  • Comment removed

  • @durianriders No need to bash anyone first of all. But I OF COURSE agree that yes, drop the donut, go for the fruit. Now, just because it works for you to eat 95% fruit (fructose) in your daily caloric intake does not mean it will work for EVERYBODY else. Diet is not a one size fits all sort of thing. I'm sure you know this, but I'm just trying to make the point that yes, everyone generally has the same ground rules for how we all chemically process something, but our chemistry is unique to us.

  • Comment removed

  • @durianriders So therefore, like Sean and so many others out there, even the sugar in fruit can cause cravings for the bad chemically processed sugar, which is ultimately the sugar he is talking about that no one should consume. And unless you know Sean personally and you know exactly what he does every single weekend, (which I will assume you don't) then you just shouldn't even go there.

  • @durianriders I know he said in a video that sometimes on the weekends he'll have A beer or TWO, but I think that hardly qualifies as "as much as he wants).

  • i am not a healthy type of person but as i learn my diet seems to change..and thanks to these videos i have learned and go out and reaserch things..anyway..thanks for the help mr video making dude :) i eat alot of vegies and fruit and nuts and no salt and shugar or snacks..and i feel great :)

  • I've been sugar free for 2 days, no withdrawls! I feel better already.

  • good message, thanks for posting!

  • 3:44 made me laugh

  • Comment removed

  • Good stuff.

  • High protein foods, fluids and glucose pills helped me deal with withdrawals.

  • @fructmals epic failure, glucose pills are pure sugar

  • @pvt1ganus I only have a problem with my GLUT 5 transporter. I'm not saying I load up on it. But, if I was to accidentally ingest fructose, then I would take glucose to help the fructose molecule to be absorbed. Generally, It's a one to one ratio. This has not proved to be an epic failure for me. Thanks for the comment.

  • who is better sean or scooby 1961

  • @Gideon359 apples and oranges

  • like jack lalane said if it taste good spit it out because its bad for you......anything sweet or salty will slowly kill you...good post

  • @Greyfort7 I learned this this week. I was off for some weeks, then I ate one York Peppermint Patty.

That was 2 days ago. I've been eating cookies here and there. I actually had ice cream for breakfast!

    Abstinence is the only way.

  • I feel I am addicted to sugar for sure.

  • Have you ever heard of Dr. Llaila Afrika? He is a Holistic Dr. That teaches about Afrikan Holistic health, He has several books on this subject. You should check him out. Thank you for the info bro.

  • I've been trying to live a healthier life style, but there is NO WAY I'm giving up my french vanilla coffee creamer.

  • I'd like to know if low-fat or non-fat yogurt is something to eliminate? Is honey okay?

  • @dlogan1616

Honey contains sugar so you should avoid honey.

Low/no-fat products usually have added sweeteners and should be avoided.

  • Question. Let's say I cut sugar out of my diet. What about honey? That's naturally sweet. this is okay right?

  • @jonathanaveary2010 Its the fructose part of sugar that is the addictive part and fructose is found in all different types of sugar, high fructose corn syrup and in honey. Unfortunately it is very hard to avoid :(

  • @jonathanaveary2010

It's sweet because it contains sugar.

  • L glutamine is an amino acid, there is no sugar in it....

  • @nes11727 But it has the sweetest taste out of any of the amino acids. There not being any sugar in it is the point. He just said don't give a crack head a little crack. So in keeping with that why would he suggest something that has sugar? So he didn't. Good day to you sir.

  • you re my new SUPER HERO! xx

  • Amazing. Thank you for posting. I am a huge health nut - even buy raw organic powdered supplements to make my own capsules, work out daily, eat all organic, home-brew kombucha tea... but I am absolutely addicted to sugar. The L-Glutamine recommendation is possibly what I've been looking for! And the way you carry/present yourself is highly motivating and inspiring. Peace & health to you, my friend. :)

  • Thanks for mentioning 'Potatoes not Prozac' That book saved my life over 10 years ago. I recommend it to EVERYONE.

Now I have eliminated sugar from my diet and have never been happier or healthier.

    There is NO good fructose.

  • what about healthy sugars like dates, honey, fresh cane juice?

  • Eating healthy--- as in Milk, bananas, water, and garden vegetables? Add vegetable oils and seasonings?

  • @assit2 vegetable oils NOT GOOD >>> too many PUFAs (poly unsaturated fats) look up xenoestrogens too you will find how pufas can cause excess estrogen in the body. I'm dealing with it now.. not fun & i've seen many people on blogs dealing with it too

  • your annoying but some how informative, thumbs up bra

  • glutamine PILLS, is a sugar pill. dummy.

  • this guy's an amatature...4-5 days detox period? more like 2-10 years, detox.

  • this guy needs to get an education

  • OMG! Thank You So Much for the sugar Tip!

  • Still, to be fair, its just TOO MUCH sugar thats bad for us. You NEED sugar to live. hell, the D in DNA is deoxyribose, a sugar.

  • @smeogismyname i think what hes getting at is natural sugars in our fruits and other natural foods should do you fine

  • i love L-glutamine. it is a wonderfull supplement found in select protein powders, and in some other supplements to, thanks for the info and ill be sure to try it out

  • lolhfcs

  • when u say sugar a drug does that mean fruites are drug ?

  • you cannot eliminate sugar cuz is made by mother nature sorry but sugar is essential for life... this is a lie..

  • @PureBrutalSickness

yo buddy, you just dont know about sugar, yes it is natural, but companys out there use "sugar substitutes" for example "apartame", really bad for you. get yours sources before you critisise.

  • @MrStephens04 yeah i know that aspartame is bad actual i took diet coke away from my mom cuz she was having alot of migraines...im talking about old school sugar never take that away from me NEVER!!!! xD...

  • @PureBrutalSickness yea bro, like a natural sugar from cane, is prolly healthy for you but you never know what those company are putting in this "natural sugar" that they say on their label

  • BTW... why don't you mention what sugar really actually is and what it dose to your bones? if people knew they probably wouldn't feed it to animal.

  • stevia? agave? yacon root syrup?

you all have to buy online, but once you do they last for ages...saves you money and your health.

  • I dont ever eat sugar but if i do eat anything that has fructose or sucrose in it i have a major workout right after also when i do have sugar its like 1/4th a cupcake..not alot

  • You saved my life!

  • careful about equating foods with drugs and addictions otherwise that might give the gov excuse to regulate and license food including healthy foods like fruit which has sugar in it. we are all addicted to air food water, reduce these below your needs and you suffer withdrawls. drug addiction is nothing like foods. sugar addictions is just insulin rollarcoaster. . I used lipoic acid and chromium gtf multi to conquer my ice cream cravings. I did notice detox symptoms after a while.

  • what do you think of cacao powder and macca? do you also think sugar addiction is related to traumatic experiences? I'm not saying in all cases. I've made a personal link to why I"m addicted to sugar, my foster dad gave us chocolate everyday for school, that's 11 years of eating chocolate everyday so no wonder I'm addicted! it's so frustrating I have a very healthy diet, eat organic don't eat soft drink excerise regulary but still crave sugar!

  • So what about salt? I do have a taste for salt. I try not to overdo it, but it goes so well with practically every other seasoning? Should I be concerned, or is there something else (like water) I should be sure to get plenty of to balance it out, or should I just learn to cut back in order to avoid high blood pressure?

  • @Soulja4Alethia you can use unrefine sea salt thats would be better for you

  • @visualkeirockstar Thanks I actually already do as much as possible but I appreciate the tip!

  • i love you

  • wow i needed an inspiration like you in my life !

  • i almost never eat sugar not even natrual what is in fruits but once every year i eat about 2 sugary donuts at night from circle k

  • i overcome sugar cravings by eating tons more fiber, more vegtables, and more lean meats,

  • I love you Sean, I don't think anyone I haven't met has impacted my life the way you have :) keep up the great work!

  • wow now I know why I crave ciecream , my LOVE AFFAIR with Ben and Jerry is going to have to come to end after so many years, ty now I understand sugar

  • Im super addicted to soda. I have 2 a day sometimes more. But luckily im not over wieght due to sports but i wanna stop drinking it any way. Any ways of helping me stop? Of course otger than that pill or supplements cause i dont buy my own foods yet

  • true bro.

i cant stop eating ice cream. im reaally pissed that i cant.

but the thing wit me is i workout. so i dont get fat but i dont lose fat.

is sucks im trying to lose fat and make my muscle show. it's hard dam im mad.

16 by the way so i dont got a job and i cant by my own food. yet.

  • You remind me of MosDef.

Anyway I am so thankful for this information in everyday terms!

  • I personally think that sugar cravings are our body telling us that we need sugar, but natural sugars like fruit. So when I crave sugar, I simply have fruit, except when I slip ..lol also having none around the house helps a lot.

  • Same with Caffein... I agree I'm super addicted to Sugar

  • you sure read alot lol

thats good do u have a vid with ur top health books/lit

  • is it bad to eat fruit that are sweet? cuase i eat a lot of apple, raisins and honey

  • @visualkeirockstar

natural sugar is better than artificial sugar, but it's best to eat a variety of fruits and vegetables - not just the sweet ones.

  • you're so cute

  • you are what you eat

  • I stand true to attest about sugar. I weighed 295 lbs. I went on a special diet that used no sugar. No processed foods, or white flours. Not even sweet fruits were allowed. I lost 90 lbs. I got past the sugar cravings. I felt great. Last Christmas I fell of the wagon. Sugar hangover. Now I am back to 262 lbs. I feel like crap, I look like crap. I am having a hard time starting the diet again. Hopefull I will get it worked out. I might try that L glutamine. Thanks

  • You're right about sugar withdrawal. I did the cabbage soup diet for a week before I jumped on the Atkins. Its been 2 week now. The funny thing is I am NOT at all craving sugar anymore. What do you think of hydrotherapy (colonic irrigation)? I was thinking of going to a health clinic and having it done. Do you think it's necessary for part of weight loss? to get all the toxins and gunk out? Thanks

  • Hello! I am on the Atkins diet now. I had a questions about Stevia. What's better, Splenda or Stevia? Since I started my diet, I haven't had any form of sugar. The only sweet thing I had was a decaf coffee yesterday with full fat cream and 1 splend. According to the low carb book, sweet n low or Equal aren't good for you. Would you recommend anything other than Stevia?

  • I found this video after seeking the terms "sugar and drug" because I eat sugar when stressed like others smoke or drink.

  • I need you inside my head, inside of my mind man! sugar odes sounds like a drug when you say it :0). I liked the FDA part, you-are-right!

  • great info! :)

  • sugar-glucose- is what your body uses to build connections in the brain (learning) i think its more about moderation

  • Yes Frank, sex, sugar, morphene and heroin have similar effects. However there is one minor difference with sex....SEX IS GOOD FOR YOU!!!! The lesson learned here: keep the good habits that you derive pleasure from and kick your heroin and sugar cravings to the curb. Thank you for the tip of L-Glutimaine.

  • Why do u have scooby1961 as a tag? 1 star

  • have another mars bar frank

  • This guy is a complete putz. "this sugar addiction is physiological and affects the same biochemical systems in your body as drugs like morphine and heroin"...

That sounds scary but that same statement is true for anything you derive pleasure from, including sex.

  • You´re right sugar is bad. 5 Stars for this video.

  • "sugar is bad yall sugar is sooo bad"

No. Sugar is sucrose (glucose linked to fructose). You need sugars to generate atp from oxphos.

The message here is like anything else, just don't overdo it. Your message of "sugar is the antichrist" is ridiculous.

  • the "sugars" you speak of are NATURALLY in fruits and are bi-products of carbs... but we should NOT eat sugar alone. It is PROVEN that sugar feeds cancer cells.

  • Sugar feeds cancer cells? No shit... Sugar feeds EVERY cell. What's your point?

The sugars that naturally occur in fruit also naturally occur in sugar cane. There isn't anything wrong with eating sugar, it's the amount that causes problems.

  • do you ever look at things in its correct context, he just mentioned we consume hundreds of pounds of sugar a year, so yea people are pretty much making it their own antichrist, which is why your petty passive approach doesn't mean anything anymore especially in this society

  • That's a weird coincidence, just last night I was thinking about how sugar is like a drug and then today I stumbeupon this video. Good video too man, 5/5.

  • When u mentioned jelly donuts that made me laugh cause u said it in a funny way xD

  • Hahaha, Jelly doughnuts.

  • I have L-glutamine and it works...!

Also increase healthy salt & cinnamon intake (not necessarily together) ...it helps sugar cravings

  • Lol. Couldnt have said it any better myself.

Quote (6:00) "Why do you feel like crap? Because you just ate crap"

  • Learn something new from you all the time. Your awesome Sean!

  • i concur waxypotatoes, i eas cum quats, i dont even know what they are, my homosexual neighbor bakes em up, they are a little sweet, but taste good goin down, oh yeah, sometimes toss salad is good too, but i only eat that in jail, a little tangy, but its an acquired taste

  • I eat fruit to deal with sugar cravings.

I also eat homemade oat and wheatgerm flapjacks sweetened with dried fruit and honey.

    Works for me.

  • oookkkkk...back to our regularly scheduled program.

    good vid sean

  • can diabetics use this supplement?

  • I bet now your gonna have all these "junkies" calling themselves an "addict" now lol.

  • according to doug graham sugar cravings are just an indication that you are not eating enough fruit. fructose will curb cravings...however, do not eat too many overt fats, oils, nuts, seeds, avo's as you re cell walls will be too fatty and not be able to absorb the sugar from the fruit. apparently this causes high bloodsugar, and thus an environment condusive for bad bacteria growth.

  • Great advice cheers, what music is that called in the end?

  • I tried the L-Glutamine trick, and I hope it can help me curb the sugar cravings... Seems like it more in my head than anything else, but if I can get over eating so much sugar, I think my back pain might start to subside and I might have more clarity.. Wish me luck!!

  • If you have lower back pain you could try doing some weight training to strenghten the muscles. I had injured my ciatic nerve really badly a few months back and with a weight training routine that focused on my back twice a week its totally gone. Maybe you could try that ?

It seems odd to exercise an area that causes you pain but it really does seems to work.

    Simon.

  • THanks Simon, but I have upper back pain, and neck pain, and weightlifting is part of what caused my problem!! I may try to get back into it, but I'm going to tweak my diet first and see how that works..

  • I see grasshopper.

Perhaps your pain was caused by poor form or over-training. You have to careful about that cos it's so easy to do.

Sometimes it actually helps to do a little weight training to an injured muscle (get the blood flowing). If it's upper back and neck ROWING would be quite good.

Btw are u polish? U look polish in ur youtube photo.

    Simon

  • My pain is the result of many things, whip lash, car accident, poor form, bad posture etc.. I'm working on it, but rowing, to be honest would be painful for me.

I didn't know a person could look polish! LOL, Yes I am..

  • Ahhhhh I seeeeeee.

Yeah I had a polish fiancée once and I learnt how to pick out polish people from a crowd from her. Weird skill to pick up I know but hey.

buziaki (only polish word i know aside from kocham ciebie but somehow i dont think that applies here lol.

  • No longer a fiancee huh? She showed you how to pick poles out of a group? Hahaha, I don't even think I could do that, but there are some defining characteristics, like these darned cheekbones, I get people asking me if I'm Eastern European all the time.. Had a guy ask me last week if I was European, silly. Buziaki, LOL, that is funny..

  • Well only for now she isn't my fiancée.

I'm working on it so don't worry. Aint no Pole that's just gonna slip through my fingers that easily ;)

Yeah it's the cheekbones and eyes that give it away. Eastern european women are the best looking I think though. Oh and Brazilians too.

Bet you can't guess what I am. It's such a friggin weird mix.

Man we have so gone totally off topic. I bet sean is gonna be like wtf when he reads these comments. LOL.

    Simon.

  • LOL! Good luck keeping that girl, sounds like you aren't giving up without a fight!

I will take that 3rd comment as a compliment! Hehe. You look Spanish/French to me. But these days everyone is all mixed up, I'm part German and Greek too, we are all mutts. I agree, maybe we should stop stealing the attention from the content of this vid!

    :)

  • My name is Hildi (not really) I am addicted to sugar. Especially in soft drink form......it sux.

  • I've been an addict forever but I I've been making super food smoothies and I swear it's helped eliminate my cravings by 90% I still eat poorly but its more from habit and price issues than cravings and addictions peace!
