  • OMG...THEY PLAY SO "BAAAAADDDDDD"

  • Fantastico!!!!!!

    Roberto.

  • broski was coolest bass player ever lived and the best

  • Yea man ! Nice of you to share this cut . It is so good to see Blakey and Freddy again as they light up the band.I am looking forward to checking out more of your uploads . You make the world smaller ,bringing diverse people together something like Blakey used to do .I can't say enough about that guy, he was one of the great people ,more than a musician, a good man.It is so easy to forget when so many become aloof with fame that there were once great people like Art, Dizzy, and Louis Armstrong.

  • Yes that's Donald Harrison on sax.

  • The great Johnny O'neal

  • Its all the same to that japanese dude clapping in the back. Look how much fun that dude is having

  • The alto player is Donald Harrison, believe me.

  • Thank you for your comment. The alto player is Donald Harrison.

  • Japanese Subtitle says the alto player is Billy Pierce.

    Cheers

  • In this TV program Japanese subtitle is not right. The alto player is Bobby Watson and the pianist is John O'neal.

  • @JazzLiveInJapan Billy plays tenor!-Fc

  • @radio555 Bill Pierce is on Tenor Saxophone, Donald Harrison on Alto

  • Yeah definitely not Bobby on Alto

  • The Pianist's name is not Johnny O'Connell. That's my musical father and mentor Johnny O'neal.

I can't believe how young Terence looks. Thanks for posting...

  • First off, you can tell that Terence and Skane were shedding with each other back then! It's funny how musicians, especially young trumpeters (we've all done it!) try to get to all of their "stuff" when in the presence of masters of their instrument. Terence sounded good though...

  • "Skain"...not "Skane"

  • Same thing...you get the point ;-)

  • on alto sax is Donald Harrison, not Bobby Watson

  • So Good to see a video of Freddie Hubbard soloing at its best! Terence Blanchard looks so young compared to the other fellows Jazz messengers.. :/)

    Thks for posting it.

  • way cool!
