Yea man ! Nice of you to share this cut . It is so good to see Blakey and Freddy again as they light up the band.I am looking forward to checking out more of your uploads . You make the world smaller ,bringing diverse people together something like Blakey used to do .I can't say enough about that guy, he was one of the great people ,more than a musician, a good man.It is so easy to forget when so many become aloof with fame that there were once great people like Art, Dizzy, and Louis Armstrong.
First off, you can tell that Terence and Skane were shedding with each other back then! It's funny how musicians, especially young trumpeters (we've all done it!) try to get to all of their "stuff" when in the presence of masters of their instrument. Terence sounded good though...

Japanese Subtitle says the alto player is Billy Pierce.
Cheers

In this TV program Japanese subtitle is not right. The alto player is Bobby Watson and the pianist is John O'neal.

The Pianist's name is not Johnny O'Connell. That's my musical father and mentor Johnny O'neal.
I can't believe how young Terence looks. Thanks for posting...
