  • Issaquah is a very peaceful town , where pretty much everyone knows each other, its amazing :)

  • one of the most beautiful valleys (in the summertime). 9 mos of drizzle 3 mos of beauty

  • Not too hot, not too cold, not too sunny.

  • Issaquah is where Ted Bundy used to take his victims to rape and kill.

  • I lived in issaquah my whole life, the place is a mix of city life and country roads, its very peaceful. I know live in a town about 15 miles away in snoqualmie,

  • yeah issaquah is the shit

  • Kenny is the man! First invasion Californians, second old peeps. Which ones worse?

It rains all the time except when it's just cloudy and cold.

Mtn bikers are taking over that town for sure.

  • MODEST MOUSE!

  • Issaquah was a great place to watch hang gliders soar off Tiger mountain. My house pn Cougar mountain had a great view of the fliers. My wife and I lived there from '86 to '92. We worked at Issaquah care center. KC foods made great veggie sandwiches. We didn't see Clinton's inauguration because a windstorm blew down powerlines and we had no tv for a month. I live in Louisiana now.

  • not too warm and not too cold? yeah right its ALWAYS freezing cold, except summer

  • @BolookiBoy It was cold this summer.

  • I LIVE IN ISSAQUAH

  • What I can't figure out is how I could have lived there from '94-'03 and never heard Modest Mouse. I totally got into them after I moved and they were WAYYY my kind of music.

  • Anybody here ever listen to "Online with Stewart White" on KGNW 820 AM? That's my dad. Remember when Krispy Kreme first opened in Issaquah and they had a line five miles long for several months straight?

  • Anyone remember "Windstorm 98"? I was living on 41.5 (next to Lake Sammamish) and while walking through my neighborhood, literally 50 feet from me, about 40 feet worth of bough from my across the street neighbor's evergreen tree snapped, and javelined itself head-first into his lawn. If I'd been 50 feet closer I'd be dead. It was buried like a lawn-dart half-way into the ground.

  • I saw "The Whiz" at that theater, and they totally blew me away.

  • Anyone else remember when that gasoline tanker exploded on I-90 right by Costco in Issaquah? Circa... 2002-2003?

  • i do. like it was yesterday.

  • I was standing right next to the fence by Trader Joe's that overlooks I-90 when it exploded. Talk about fortuitous timing! Then, while driving home with my brothers in the car, I drove down the exit ramp that's right by the roundabout and Sunset Elementary, and just narrowly avoided what would have been a fatal head-on collision, due to all the traffic turning around, and driving the wrong way on the freeway, and the entrance ramp to I-90 directly opposite my exit ramp.

  • Anyone here know "Crazy Kenny" (AKA "Ken, the Monkees Guy")- the vaguely hispanic looking guy who walks around Issaquah and Factoria with headphones on, singing at the top of his lungs? When I knew him he'd been listening to the same Monkees album for 3 years straight! I believe he's a sign-holder in Issaquah now. I was friends with him. He always asked me if I thought people had heard him singing and if he was famous. "Sure, Kenny, everyone in western Washington knows who you are".

  • yeah i gave kenny a ride once hes hella cool. and yes he only listens to the monkees and beatles

  • The rumor going around with the kids who went to school with him was that he'd done the wrong combinations of drugs, and was never the same. I don't know. Whatever it is, he's a little odd, but much cooler and nicer than all the "normal" people. Huge coincidence, too, man cuz I gave him a ride to the library one time. On the way he told me about how his family was mormon, but he wasn't. The guy's a legend.

  • ya i heard that he had like 10 sheets of acid in his pocket , he went to a concert and got too sweaty and it all absorbed into his leg. i dont know if its true but i can beleive it. anyways ya the guy is a fuckin legend in bellevue/issaquah

  • i remember him! i dont live there anymore but i saw him a lot. (: !

  • @wanderingjew2008 i do know him actually he is a legend

  • FreshMonaViedotCom

  • Boston is the best place in the country to retire! If you don't mind the cold that is :)

  • Boston?? I'm hoping to LEAVE here. Weather is blah, in winter you don't want to go out in the cold and dreary storms. I'm looking for warmth...

  • dont move their it sucks... Too much old people.
